By far they are the best dog groomer around. My little guy was so happy when he emerged from the grooming. The owners are so open and welcoming and they gave my dog buckets of love. He looks amazing and they even gave him a fun little bandana. We groom our dog at least twice a month and being new to the San Antonio area we were in the search for a groomer. Do not mess around with anyone else! Their prices are super reasonable and no short cuts were taken. I just can't go on about how amazing they are! Don't take your fur baby to anyone else. I hadn't heard back from my usual brick-and-mortar groomer (understandably so due to the COVID-19 situation), so I did a search for mobile groomers and came across Fancy Dog. We corresponded a bit via text and phone call over about a day and a half, after which I was able to set up an appointment. They ask you what kind of dog you have, weight, and area you live in. They were only about a week out compared to a month or more backed up like other groomers. They arrived about ten minutes earlier than the expected arrival time and had us complete their grooming form before taking our dog into their mobile trailer. They plug into your external electrical outlet and go from there. It took them only a little over an hour to complete the full-service groom. The price did not change from what I was quoted, and my dog looked so much better and seemed happier as well. Thank you to David and team for the excellent work! read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I can't speak on their grooming do to the fact we canceled for reasons listed below so maybe they're good? But I wouldn't put money on it. I scheduled an appointment for grooming about a week in advance. They only respond via text, never over the phone. Not a biggy but first flag. The second was they gave me one quote then said it was there mistake and quoted me a higher price for my pup. The third flag? Today at our scheduled appointment time they never showed. I called about the 20min mark, again only voicemail. I sent a text a couple minutes later... no response. At the 30min mark I sent another text just saying don't bother coming at all and I'll be going through someone else...NO RESPONSE. They finally showed up at my door about 50min AFTER the scheduled appointment all smiles. I told them no thank you. Crazy to me. You'd think small business owners would be more on their game and focused on costumer service. You know, maybe send a text explaining why they're running late, their lost etc. I don't know about you, but I treat my pup as a member of the family, and I did not feel comfortable entrusting her to people who don't communicate. Seems a bit shady to me. read more

Had a terrible experience with Fancy Dog Mobile Pet Groomer. The hair cut was very uneven and that really didn't bother me as hair will grow back. A few days later I remove the bandana they put around my dogs neck and there is a large rectangular cut under his neck. He was obviously cut and I had no idea until days later because it was hidden under the bandana. Really disappointed that they didn't tell me and now I need to take him to the vet as it looks infected. The company is blaming it on his collar and allergies when it's clearly a perfectly rectangular cut. Have taken my dog to groomers before and never had a problem. Beware of this company. read more

PLEASE READ!!! If I could give them no stars I would! I took my mini Australian shepherd to them and they did such a sloppy job. His fur is very choppy and messy! Also saw that they don't check papers to see if dogs are UNVACCINATED! Glady my dog is fine after I got him tested but if you wanna take a risk of your dog getting PARVO then schedule an appointment with this groomer. This is very concerning and I hope people spread the word. read more

The people were on time and they did a good service with 2 of my dogies Princes and Chata. Very convenient they came to our house and it was very quick. When they got to my house I asked them not to put any perfume on my dogs and I also requested to use my own dog shampoo on my Puppies and they had no problem in doing it. Awful experience. The groomers didn't speak English well enough for me to communicate my dog's needs and I don't speak Spanish. My dog was terrified but the guy didn't even talk to her to comfort her. They didn't want me to stay with her, and claimed I was "making her nervous." She's a rescue dog who was abused hence the purpose of a nontraditional groomer. Stay away! read more

I wish I could give 4.5 stars. This couple duo ( Manny and Anita) are really great. They come to your home and just hook up the electricity, how awesome is that. They are probably the best groomers I've dealt with to date, super professional and very quiet. They really pay attention to detail, cutting all the little hairs between the toes and such. You get so much with their packages. They did great on my Schnauzer's cut. My only gripe is that I'm super particular about my Schnauzer's beard. I think very few people understand a true Schnauzer beard. It has a particular angle at the jaw line from the side and needs to be moved more frontward or forward as well as taper short in the back and long in front. Not completely their fault though cause my dog's beard is slow growing in the front. They did the front view of the beard and eyebrows perfect. He smelled so good when I got him back and they gave him a little scarf. I will definitely be using them again. read more
