About an hour later, I received a call from the receptionist saying my dog had "accidentally been shaved." At first, I thought there had to be some misunderstanding, so I called back. That's when I was told that the wrong groomer had taken the wrong dog from the wrong kennel and completely shaved my Shih Tzu. When I say completely shaved, I mean everything. His signature teddy bear face and his long tail were shaved down with the shortest blade. I barely recognized my own dog when I picked him up. Before arriving, I told the receptionist that I wanted to speak with the manager, but I was informed the manager wasn't there that day. Initially, they said they would only charge me for the bath, but I made it clear I wasn't willing to pay for any service because my dog was groomed without my authorization and completely contrary to the instructions I had given. The receptionist was incredibly kind, apologetic, and professional. She told me she had spoken with the manager and that all charges would be waived. She also assured me the manager would call me the following day. That call never came. My poor baby was shaved so closely that, in the middle of summer, he had to wear a sweater at night because he was shivering from being cold. It was heartbreaking to see him so uncomfortable because of a mistake that should never have happened. I understand that mistakes happen, and thankfully my dog's hair will eventually grow back. However, what I can't overlook is how poorly this situation was handled afterward. A sincere apology and a follow-up from management would have gone a long way. Because of the lack of accountability and customer service, I will never return to Pup Town, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Feet and legs were not cut evenly. This is clearly not a professional groom as they claim to be. I understand sometimes accidents happen but multiple cuts and what looks like blade burn is inexcusable! Horrible job and will not be back. I clearly did not get a proper groom but but cuts and burns instead. spent 109$ for this. Not to mention my baby was not herself on our ride back home.

Barbara's offered me several appt times available for same day nail services, even after letting them know that my puppy is a "screamer" when getting her nails done.. I cannot tell you how impressed and pleased I was with their customer service and expertise!! We were in and out in less than 12 minutes and my baby got extra special treatment- two nice lady's there to soothe and calm her while her nails were being buffed. Ten star service, so so happy that we found our new favorite doggie salon!

Also, when I walked in, they had me put my dog in a crate. So, I left her there to get her grooming, but I was worried. Needless to say, there was no reason to worry. Firstly, they finished sooner than I thought , and my dog was waiting patiently in the same crate, when I arrived, and she looked and smelled perfect. The ladies that attended me were very approachable and her groomer followed my grooming request. I'll also add, that right after I arrived, there must've been at least four more people dropping off multiple dogs, so it seems the Scissors and Suds has a good amount of regulars. Best part, there wasn't a wait of a week to get my dog groomed. They took her the same week I called.

His tear stains were left un trimmed as well as the fur between his paws. I reached out to Andrea and she stopped responding to my text messages. Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS grooming service. She is clearly an inexperienced groomer and I am more than disappointed in myself for even leaving my dog there. I have a poodle and he came home with mat and tangles in his hair due to him not being thoroughly combed and blow dried out. Whatever you do go somewhere else! I was quoted $20 and when I arrived was charged $35. It's not worth it !

I love this place because it's so much cheaper than the big chain stores. I think the biggest thing about it is that I really feel like the owner cares about my pet. When I take my dog to big chain stores I get him back and look at his uneven nails, like they just hacked them off carelessly. The owner seems to really care about and take care of my pet and when I take him back he's never afraid like he is when I try to take him back to the vet or the major chain store, that says a lot!
