The price is extremely reasonable for the amount of past and present information she provides. She also provides a military discount which makes it an even better deal.

Our bridal party bus had NO WORKING AC on a hot June day. It was unbelievably hot inside, and multiple people in our family and bridal party felt like they were going to pass out. It got so bad that several people refused to ride the bus back, and we had to figure out other transportation on our wedding day. The bus also reeked of CIGARETTES. I do want to give credit to our driver because he was genuinely trying to make the best of a bad situation. He told us multiple times that he had brought up this AC issue to his boss before and that nothing had been done. Then when I contacted the company afterward, management completely denied knowing anything about it... The company eventually admitted the service "fell below expectations" and apologized, but refused to offer any compensation because they technically "got us where we needed to go." For what we paid, this was completely unacceptable. As a bride, the last thing I should have been worrying about was my family and bridal party overheating or trying to figure out how to get people back because they refused to get on the bus again. I would NEVER recommend taking that risk on your wedding day.

You will be taken through old town and get the history of Britain destroying about 800 homes. There are several famous people from the area too. This was about a four hour tour which included information on local restaurants. I recommend this tour. You see a lot and have a good laugh with others on the tour. Our driver was great. He could take a joke as well as give them.

There are some great restaurants and shops around (within a 5 minute drive). The hotel is brand new and has only been open a few weeks. Rooms were spotless and had probably never even been stayed in yet. It's a joint location with Moxy so that is interesting. They easily provided a pack and play for our toddler with brand new and clean sheets and blankets. The room (King Suite) was large and the kitchenette was well-stocked and a life saver when you have a toddler. Included free breakfast was great - they had waffles, rotating hot items like sausage biscuits and egg and cheese English muffins with bacon and a waffle station, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and juices, pastries, etc. Only issue - the coffee is awful. We'd happily stay here again. Everything was wonderful. The overflow parking lot in the back is extremely small and only has 30 or so spots so, that is going to be a problem during busy times. There were two music events happening at the point while we were there and traffic and parking was extremely tightly controlled with people monitoring who came and went from the point (which is a good thing bc congestion would be a nightmare).

Having just checked out, we wish to inform potential customers about a few things that were, oddly,…read moreleft off of the website and other descriptions of this hotel. 1) This is not listed as an airport hotel, but the runway-level sound of jets taking off from Portland International at 6 AM give airport hotel vibes without the convenience of easy access from the airport. 2) Management insists that they do, indeed, have an indoor pool as advertised; that it doesn't have water or even a firm date for the completion of pool construction is immaterial. You might disagree. 3) We were assured that "some people like it" that there's a sound stage for a major music venue not 50-75 yards from the hotel windows and the prospect of forced attendance to late-night rock concerts. That may be so, but I suspect that it's fewer than management thinks -- and certainly fewer still enjoy sound checks with their thrumming bass and squealing feedback starting at 9:30 AM the day of. We urge the Marriott to update their listing for the Portland Thompson's Point Residence Inn so that potential customers are more aware of these "features."

They do what they said they would at the price quoted with a high level of professionalism and competence by their drivers. These involved: A hospital to the airport limo to coincide with a ride for a cat and woman (who is without peer) handler to the airport and returning her home. Delivering pizza from local well regarded pizzeria's to the hospital staff. Rides to the airport for friends. I know they are excellent because every one of my family and friends who were riders rave about them. (I suggest you take that to the bank. I know these people and it's best to treat them well. Really. Good advice.) They say "Just use them !"
