When I was visiting my daughter in Lexington, I had a window. I called and was lucky they could take me; I think this place is usually pretty busy and may be hard to get walk-in. There were three different people who did parts: 1) woman who did the dremel to remove the gel; she was very careful, 2) man who did the pedicure except for the polish, 3) younger woman who did the polish. I assume they have different strengths. The man did such a great job making my feet and legs feel amazing. I was so relaxed and normally I feel like my pedicure are mostly just functional to have my toes painted nicely. The polish was just fine. Price was reasonable. The place feels friendly. When my nails were done they looked great but the problem is that did not last. Within 1.5 weeks I had 6 chipped nails. After 2 days I received the first chip, went back and got it fixed. The next day I got another chip, went back and got it fixed. I had to travel for work and during that time I got 4 more chips. I am removing all the dip as soon as possible. Being from out of town, I don't have the ability to say that I've gone here several times because I haven't I can only provide information from what I experienced on one visit. My takeaway is to request an experienced nail technicians. The person who provided my services was nervous and did not seem very experienced. I say this, not as a criticism or complaint merely an observation from someone who has had quite a few manicures and pedicures. On the other hand, the person who was doing my friends pedicure was excellent very confident and did a superb job. Unfortunately, the person doing my pedicure kept making mistakes and redoing the polish. This resulted in a very long pedicure. I don't have a problem going to someone who's inexperienced if I am given the option of knowing someone is in training or new and being asked if it's OK if it takes a little bit longer because of it. However, in this situation, I would have preferred a more experienced technician my friend and I were going to the same wedding so we had the same time constraints. Her technician was able to provide her service in a timely manner so I do not believe I am being unreasonable when I say I experienced feelings of an annoyance in how long my pedicure took. Just as I was reaching my threshold of asking for a more experience person, she completed the work. The salon itself is relaxing, and the staff are delightful. Everything was very clean and they had a great selection of polish. No one tried to upsell surfaces neither of us asked to have and even with the delay on my pedicure we were able to continue our day without feeling, rushed prior to the wedding that evening.
