The salon is beautifully designed. I walked in and they were slower so I was seated quickly. I picked out a bright glow in the dark orange SNS (dip) color, which I loved. When my nails were done they looked great but the problem is that did not last. Within 1.5 weeks I had 6 chipped nails. After 2 days I received the first chip, went back and got it fixed. The next day I got another chip, went back and got it fixed. I had to travel for work and during that time I got 4 more chips. I am removing all the dip as soon as possible. This is not my first time getting dip but this is my first time with so many different chips, especially so soon after getting my nails done. I will not be back. read more

I usually go with light/nudes colors but decided to spice it up a bit for Spring. I usually book with Lin or Tony (when Lin is not available) and both have done amazing with my nails. I get SNS on my natural nails and my nails grow substantially in between appointments. Today I chose a new color, which was like a coral/red/pink color ( color # 157). I stay with the almond shape. Vibe is kinda like the factory version of a nail salon BUT: ventured in 15 minutes after they opened on Saturday and they were already busy! They were able to fit me in for a pedicure and I liked that it was a no hassle experience. Sometimes places keep trying to upsell you and that is not Luxor! This shop saved the day! I was Britain's looking for a nail shop opened on Sundays and I fit right in. Once I walked in, I was greeted with a sincere smile and shown the nail polish wall. They had a variety of colors and I was in love. My nail tech was very kind and patient. She removed my precious off and added the gorgeous blue I wanted. Absolutely unacceptable experience. I went in for a soak off new set and left with a bad cut that was bleeding. The technician was careless and clearly not paying attention. Not only was it painful, but incredibly unsanitary. I shouldn't have to worry about injury or infection from something as routine as getting my nails done. Dara did my nails, they only lasted for 2 weeks and the day after I had them done polish was chipping. I called business to request that they be fixed since I had paid over $60, unfortunately the business has temporarily been shut down. It was not clean at his station or through out the business. Got my nails painted and I could have done it better myself. The polish is uneven in places and the top coat was not put on the entire nail. Do not get your nails painted here. For $15 dollars just to paint my nails (no manicure) you would expect better. read more

DO NOT GO HERE - Caused Physical Injury and Admitted Negligence I've never left a review this strong, but the experience my daughter had here was shockingly bad and resulted in a physical injury. This isn't just a bad manicure; this is a serious safety issue. It started when my daughter was heavily pressured into getting Gel-X nails instead of the acrylics she asked for--a nearly $100 service with the tip. Within days, the Gel-X set started failing. After one repair, a different nail fell off two days later, forcing us to return for a THIRD time. The product quality is terrible, and the upselling is aggressive. The worst part was the injury on the third visit (10/25). A female technician was trying to remove the residue and used the electric drill so aggressively that she drilled deeply into my daughter's natural nail bed. My daughter was in extreme pain and had to literally pull her hand away. She came back to the car crying. When I went back inside, a staff member actually admitted that the original technician "did not know what he was doing." They acknowledged their incompetence caused the whole mess, but for compensation, they only offered a worthless $30 gift card. After causing an injury, wasting our time on three separate trips, and admitting fault, only a full refund is acceptable, but they refused to give it. Save your money and protect your nails. read more

Very nice decor & ambiance. First time here. They do need to do some more cleaning...lots of dust & debris throughout. Bar area was messy & I would'nt order from there until clutter removed. Also one pedicure area had lots of staff drinks & belongings, very junky...needs a break room or they should use it. Seems to stay busy which may be why the cleanliness is taking a hit. My services were good overall, tech did a good job. But left my toe messy. I really appreciate that they reimburse ATM fees. They don't take walk-ins, must make an appointment. read more

I have been using Luxor for about the last two years. This was by far the worst pedicure of my entire life! The tech was pushy and rather than give me a moment to pick a color she shoved a card in my hand and literally PUSHED me toward her chair. During my pedicure she kept cutting me with the file, not once but five times total. After each cut she would swab the area with a green liquid that burned like alcohol had been poured on an open wound. She even scrubbed my toes with a firm brush for some unknown reason. My feet are torn up today, actually swollen and I am in real pain. Between scrubbing my toes and the cuts she should not be servicing customers. They did give me a discount on my service but I'm not sure it was worth the pain today. read more

Don't be fooled by the chandeliers and cool interior-- this is just a chop shop in disguise. They DO NOT sanitize their tools from customer to customer, giving you toe fungus that requires TWO YEARS of antibiotics to cure. This was my favorite nail salon, but I am now unsure I trust them anymore after seeing them cart the same tools from one person to the next. It is so simple to clean the tools yet they do not do that. Save your money and go someplace else or do it at home where you know you won't get a fungus from someone else's nasty foot. read more

This is my 3rd time at Luxor Nails in the Fountains. My husband wanted me to try this place as he thought my current salon was too dated. I honestly only went there as my regular salon went through an ownership change and hours were limited during this time. Luxor is flashy but all that glitters is not gold. It is not a personable experience nor relaxing. I was never offered a beverage, never told who would be my technician, just told to pick my color. 20+ technicians doing manicures and pedicures and customers like cattle at an auction. Prices were never given to me or service options. The technicians I have had barely spoke to me just long enough to know what I wanted and the rest of the time, they held conversations amongst themselves not in the English language. It made me feel uncomfortable and lacking any connection with the technicians. I had S&S nails with chrome done all three times. The 1st time lasted about a week but I had gone to the beach and felt I may have been rough that week. The 2nd time lasted the correct time--about 3 weeks. However, I had some flaws with dents but they weren't too noticeable. The last time is still too recent to review how long it will last but they look nice. Luxor for me, is a last ditch choice only if i cannot get into my regular salon. Luxor needs training on providing an experience more than just a generic service. read more

I went to Luxor a week ago because my salon was booked (it's back-to-school time and I didn't plan well for it.) They are very kind and attentive there. I got a gel mani and a gel pedi. I always wait several days to see how my nails hold up before writing a review. Let me start by saying that I do not hold a job that involves a lot of rough handling on my nails and due to certain health items I am unable to work out so my days have been filled with sitting at an office desk and then going home to quietly read. I currently have 2 nails with chipped nail polish and 4 others that you can feel cracks forming. It was over $150 for my nails to get done and I had hoped that they would last longer than a week. Again the people who work there are fantastic but this nail polish (gel) is not holding up. read more

One day later and my gel nail polish on my pinky toe completely came off so I had to get them to redo it. 3 DAYS LATER and my big toe nail came completely off! I called about it and told him I was traveling and they were unwilling to do anything about it. The manager was ugly and when he didn't feel like solving the problem he deflected. The water was scalding and even after asked to turn it down was still scalding. The entire process felt very rushed and like we were being judged. My friends polish has chipped just hours later. There is cotton ball fluff on the polish as well. I was also charged for gel removal when I didn't have gel on my toes, they were the ones who put the polish on last, and acetone was never tried. They also tried to charge my friend $7 for trimming the nail. Overall a bad experience and will not be returning. read more

I don't usually leave reviews. But felt like this needed a share. I went there with my daughter for a pedicure. Kids 8 & under it said $25. The lady was trying to upsell gel pedicure for her for $41 instead of $39. I said regular pedicure is fine. Then I looked at the prices and saw $35 for kids. She argues with me saying since she is 8 years old it's $35. Massage was not great. Honestly for the price was very disappointed. read more

I came here for sns because my normal salon was too busy to get me in that day. The only positive for me was the shape of my nails is quite good. However, upon leaving I noticed my one nail got either a matte top coat or no top coat. After 2 days of having them, 3 of my nails have top coat peeling. I paid $20 more than my normal salon. I went here to get my nails done for my bridal shower. Not only did it take almost 2 hours from the time I sat in the chair to when I left but 5 minutes down the road I noticed two of my nails had already cracked. I immediately called and he told me to come back in. Once I went back I noticed two more of my nails had cracked. His immediate response was "oh that's a bad dip brand" but I've never had this happen at any other nail salon??? Then he proceeded to push on each of my nails and every single one broke in half. Then he told me it was "his staff". So he quickly did mine again, which I appreciated he tried to fix, but I still wasn't pleased. I should have just asked for my money back.
