I have been going to this salon for 6 or 7 years, and I have always had a great experience. The employees and the manager are very friendly and professional...I have witnessed if a smudge or mistake was made, they are very good about correcting and fixing right away...one of the biggest things for me is the cleanliness of the store. Fancy Nails is a well established business with high standards. I have gone there for many years and just have to say once again how important it is to me that they are here. Their salon is very clean and organized. They never use water already in place for the next customer. Everything is emptied and cleaned between customers. It is bright inside and very welcoming. Easy parking and a convenient location. South 164th near Hwy 14. One of the most enjoyable parts of a pedicure is a good massage chair! I love sitting there. Theirs are beautiful with a flip up table to keep your phone and drink handy. They think of everything for our comfort. My favorite technician is Helena who is very experienced and always teaches me something about effective nail care when I go. The other technicians are also good and friendly when customers arrive. You can tell that they are friends because of the way they share and talk with each other. The options here are huge. There are many many lovely colors and styles for nails as well as nail art choices. You can also receive other services such as facials and waxing. As for their ethics they are clean, they never poach customers or workers and they stand behind their work 100%. If you have any issues you just mention it and they will fix it. UPDATE: been a year and I'm still happy to get my solar nails and gel toes done here! They got new massage chairs (SWOON)! Helena is a great hostess and Tyler does my solar nails really well, John excellent pedicure. Always relaxed and revived when I leave. -------- I just moved here and needed a spa pedicure. I called and the person that answered was very friendly and answered my questions - I needed to know if they had good, strong massage spa chairs bc I love getting massages while nails done. I also wanted to know if they could give a nice long leg massage and take care of my ingrown toenails and they said they could and did! Excellent service and my toes look fabulous. Went in for a pedicure on Friday. By Saturday morning one of my toes started hurting around the nail. By Saturday evening the whole toe hurt and was bright red down to the foot joint. Went to Urgent Care on Sunday morning and was put on antibiotics. Not sure if their tools weren't sterilized correctly or if it was the soaking tank. Anyway, I won't be going back! read more

I really enjoyed this nail spa. All the staff seemed really nice, they didn't really engage in conversation, but they were clean and efficient. It was really well staffed as well. I feel like when you go into a lot of places even with an appointment you end up waiting forever but I walked in and didn't have to wait at all. The girl that did my pedicure was really soft on the massage part, but I feel like that's really typical. Oh my only real complaint is that there were no beverages, but that's not really a complaint haha! I will definitely be returning. read more

I recently moved to Vancouver and tried Fancy Nails based on Yelp reviews. So happy that I did! I made a last minute appointment for pedi/mani on Thursday as I'm leaving town the next day for business trip. The staff were super friendly and quick! One staff did my pedicure, while another did my manicure. Both were great and I felt so pampered. Bella, the manager in charge, was super sweet too! They have a punch card for every 10 services, you get $5 off. I'm sure mine will fill up quickly as their prices are good too (compared to other salons in the area that charges more for same services). It's a nice, casual neighborhood nail salon, not fancy (no beverages as another reviewer mentioned) but I rather have great service & friendly staff than pay more for the ambiance and cheap wine. There was no discussion for added cost for painting, etc. Bella took on another client while I remained in my chair, fingers under the lamp. Finally, I asked if I was done. So I came here specifically because of the high ratings and awesome references for Bella. I unfortunately didn't get Bella and the tech I got was polite but didn't know what she was doing. I asked for a deluxe mani with a French tip. The warm paraffin was fine, the cuticle maintenance was meh and then things went sideways. The tech did a subpar job on the French tip but honestly I think that would have been ok had she not heaped three coats of clear coat and then turned the fan on (and walked away for ten minutes)... this ruined the tips and the clear polish (left bubbles and striations in the clear coat). When she came back I told her I was really unhappy with the end result (it looked super unprofessional). She said she made a mistake and it was her first time doing a French tip.... she then removed the nail polish and I could tell she was hesitant to redo the polish. I said ok, never mind-- I didn't want to spend another hour in there either. There was no offer to buff the nails or just put a clear coat on.. We went to the cash register and she charged me the full amount minus the $5 for the tip! I walked out of there with not only no polish but smudges of the French tip white still smeared around my cuticles. Totally disappointed. It's too bad because it appeared the lady next to me what getting a great mani and at least one of the other techs seemed really attention to detail oriented. read more
