I made a reservation here for 12/21 at 6:00pm for me and 4 of my friends (5 total) for acrylic gel manicures & pedicures for all. They close at 7:00pm so this was a lot of work for one hour. I wanted a nail art manicure but the technician I had was not confident in completing what I wanted and he seemed to be a bit rushed (understandably as it was now past close) so I settled on green nails (See photo pt1). These weren't at all what I wanted but I just wanted them done so I picked a color. It was now about 8:15 (an hour and 15 minutes after close) and as my friends and i were discussing, one of the technicians Johnny asked what happened to my nails and insisted I get something extra (at no extra charge) to more closely satisfy my request than what I got. Despite it being so late Johnny took extra time past close to redo ALL of my nails and decorated 2 of them like I wanted (see photo pt2). The extra work put forth to ensure I was a satisfied customer made this a 5 star trip for me. My friends all had gorgeous manicures & pedicures as well, they did a stellar job in quality and service. I recommend this salon 100%, my friends and I agree they are by far the best nail salon any of us have been to. If you are getting nail art though I would highly recommend Johnny, as the technician I had at first wasn't able to deliver the results I wanted. read more

Eh. My gel manicure came out sloppy in my opinion. This photo is from the night that I got it. It was chipping well before 2 weeks and I could tell that's because the gel was overlapping my cuticle and would lift. Also he didn't shape my nail. Normally when I get a manicure they will ask do I want my nails filed round, square, etc and make them all even. Because of all of this I feel like my nails looked like as if I painted them myself when normally gel manicures come out flawless looking. I paid $60 and a $10 tip for this and a pedicure. The pedicure was decent but I believe the total price was expensive for what I received. I will say I should have spoken up and said that it was messy, but I was running short on time and wanted to leave at that point. read more

I think the prices do not match what you pay for, they are money hungry. I have gone to them a few times and each time it's the same problem. Last time I did a powder manicure, they don't think that clipping your cuticles is part of a manicure, BUT IT IS, so when I mentioned it they tried to charge me $5. They noticed I was angry so she did it AFTER she put the powder on, so by the time my manicure was over, it already looked like I needed a fill in. There's also been a problem with them ripping off college students whom are using downtown dollars to pay with by charging them a tip even when the student gives them cash for a tip. I overall do not recommend. read more

Boyfriend and I went to Cooperstown and we got there too early to check into the hotel. We had to drive around or do something for about a good 2 hrs. I had been complaing about my nails so we decided to go there for a mani and pedi. The place was cute. The people were a little rude since the lady was screaming at me since she didnt talk loud and I couldnt hear her. They were quick and the job was done nicely. I have to say that my nails chipped my the 3rd day. I wasnt even doing things like dish washing or any of that stuff. read more

Oh, where do I begin. I went this past weekend for a mani/pedi for an event I was attending. The chaos of this place is astounding. They are trying to keep the chairs full with not enough technicians so they were bouncing from chair to chair, person to person. Yelling to each other from across the room, asking how much the person at the desk owed. Very unprofessional. But the kicker of my experience is that the guy who did my pedicure cut my toe with the cuticle pusher, which refused to stop bleeding and charged me full price for the pedicure......and now I have an infection for which I must see a doctor. I don't know if the cuticle pusher was not properly sterilized or if the water basin at the pedicure chair was dirty, but I have a very purple, very sore, very infected toe right now. I am less than pleased. I didn't even get an apology! I'm seriously considering taking my medical bill to them and telling them they can pay for my appointment and antibiotics since they are obviously not clean. Do Not Go Here! I went here in a pinch and am paying the price for it now. read more

Always accommodating, Johnny and Kelly always do a great job. Their sense of humor and interest in their clients is a nice touch. Its my favorite spot and since I'm very hard on my nails, Johnny even introduced a new product to his shop that works great for me. First time I have ever been here. I normally go to Oneonta but didn't want to drive 25 minutes just to get my nails done. The guy who did my ANC nails was very polite and made sure I was happy with what he was doing. He did an extra layer of powder for me so they would stay strong and didn't break. Seriously only one review??? Johnny and Kelly (the owners) are incredible!! They are constantly adding, changing, adapting their stock, supplies, and shop to make it better! Without much competition in this whole county, they could probably do a horrible job and still have business, yet they always try to make everyone's experience better. Johnny is a perfectionist, yet very efficient. Kelly has very gentle hands - beware of falling asleep while she works on you! I live in Saratoga folks. Saratoga. I go to Fancy Nails every 2-3 weeks for gel manicures. I have been going there for a little over a year. Really nice people that work there--have really made me feel like part of the family when I go in. Mary does a fantastic job each time.
