I have been a loyal customer of this salon for over five years, but after my experience today, I will not be returning. I walked in for a routine fill and mentioned I was in no rush and happy to wait. When the technician, Tony, told me to sit at his station, I politely declined and said I was happy to wait for a different technician. Instead of handling this professionally, Tony became incredibly hostile. He shushed me multiple times and told me I could either leave or come back another day because "nobody else" would help me. When I asked why he was being rude, he slammed his desk and began yelling, claiming I wasn't "giving him an opportunity." I have given him opportunities in the past and simply do not care for his work--which is my right as a paying customer. He continued to shush me and speak about me in another language in front of the entire salon, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe. While the other two technicians were kind enough to apologize for his behavior and offer to help me, the damage was already done. Being treated with such aggression and disrespect after five years of coming here is unacceptable. No customer should be shushed or yelled at for expressing a preference. I'm deeply disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I did a walk in for an eyebrow wax. It wasn't too busy at the time so I got serviced immediately. Lele did my service and mentioned a special for eyebrows/lip $15 (eyebrows alone are $12) so I opted for the special. The service was fast, and I'm happy with how my brows came out! Terrible!! When in had a great pedicure. Then to get my acrylic fill the lady could not understand English enough to know what I wanted had to get an interpreter then just said she couldn't do it. This was my first visit here. The parking lot can be busy pending what time you come. I got lucky to find a spot and that it was not crowded in the salon yet. I was greeted and seated with in 3 mins of arrival. All of the nail techs were friendly and helped each other out when business started to pick up. Worst service ever!! Went in to get a pedicure which when I was greeted by the lady she seemed upset that she had to do a pedicure. My massage on the chair was better than what she provided. Then my daughter got her nails done which came out just horrible I was so disappointed not even close to what we showed in a picture. Then they talk about you in Vietnamese (I know because I had my best friend on the phone who is Vietnamese and fluent) I also asked for a manicure since I was finished and I was still waiting for my daughter, I was told no that they are going to go home. I started going to this salon, once COVID-19 hit. I have had great technicians. I get my triweekly pedicure. Considering the last few months they've had to work out on the sidewalks and practically in the parking lot. The service is great. The owner or manager is a sweetheart, she is usually making sure all the customers fill out their forms and schedules the appointments. I usually get a different technician every time. I'm ok with that. The service has been consistently good. The wait times have improved. When I went back last week I was happy to be sitting indoors. read more

Conveniently beside the UPS store with plenty of parking I actually came here after seeing their tents out and people working outside to ask about setting up an appointment for pedicure. Now that nail shops are closed or limited due to the pandemic those that are open are able to charge higher prices. This accounts for the tents purchased to provide outdoor shade, the acrylic stands to separate the customer from the employee. Aside from those I don't see how there's an increase in expenses when their spa chairs are not in use for pedicures. If you want a pedi they bring your water to soak your feet in a little makeshift tub. The water isn't even hot. Or lukewarm, at best. Regardless, I figure the upsell in changing prices on me when I first asked how much it would be when I made the appointment to when I was about to pay (1 week later) when I called them out on it is that they offer a service I wasn't able to get at the nail shop I was gonna go to that's been closed since February (royal nails on first street). Would I be back here when this is all over? Probably not, but they're cheaper that what gilroy nails was charging so they had my business by default. Staff was nice, however. And things were clean. Social distancing was enforced. I can't remember if they took my temperature going in, but most of it was outdoors anyway. read more

I've been coming here since I was a little girl with my grandmother, and now as an adult myself. I love the pedicures by Linda especially. Lily and tony do a good job waxing but one time lily waxed a part of my eyebrow off and I tried to tell her something. She got upset and the next visit she was clearly talking crap about me to everyone right in front of me, didn't bother to say hi and when I asked for a wax she said she would not do it. When I asked tony if she was mad at me , he just laughed. They are very unprofessional. Unless you have been coming here for years I would not recommend this place, they are very rude. I went today to get gel and my nails came out terrible. They rush you and they don't even care about the quality of their work. The products they use are very cheap as well. I'm really sad to leave this review because I never want to say bad things about a place that I liked, I really liked my nails from my previous visits here and always left happy but this visit wasn't the best for me. I asked for a dip powder manicure in a white color and you could still see my natural nails and see that there are spots where it's uneven or not enough powder. I just felt as if there wasn't enough layers of powder and they don't look even at all :( I still tipped because she was nice but I wasn't happy with my nails :( read more

Made an appointment to get a pedicure and overlay for myself and my sister but I also wanted to soak off my previous acrylic nails. I was told to come in at 6pm. When I arrived for my appointment, the lady at the front desk confirmed the services and had sit my sister and I down for our pedicures. As I was getting my pedicure, one of the nail techs (Tony) came by and asked if I was still interested in soaking off my nails. I said yes and he told me to come by his station once my pedicure was done so he can begin. My sister was instructed to go to the other nail tech once her pedicure was finished as well. Once they were finishing our pedicures, we were told that they were canceling our overlay appointment and that we would need to come back the next day as Tony and the other nail tech wanted to go home. I explained to the rude lady who approached us that we were unable to come the next day which is why we made our appointment for today. I asked why they decided to cancel our overlay appointment as they close at 7:30pm and the time was 7:00pm. The rude lady ignored my question and said that we were asking for too much because we were requesting a soak off before our overlay and Tony and the other nail tech only wanted to do a refill as it was quicker and they didn't have to do more work. The rude lady then proceeded to tell me that I need to explain myself over the phone next time if I want to make them do so much work. This was infuriating to me as I did explain the services I was looking to get. Fancy Nails should not be accepting appointments for services and wasting customers time by cancelling their appointments because they do not want to do the service anymore. Super unprofessional and rude. I will not be coming back here again. Avoid Fancy Nails! Your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

Ouch! Mani-pedi would have received maybe three stars without the injuries. They were busy which I assume is the reason the 'five minute massage' lasted for maybe two minutes. They did not bother to inquire any information from me, such as preferred nail length or shaping, and did not seem happy when I spoke up. But the real 'sting' came from their response when I told them they hurt me, "oh, you must have thin skin". No apology, no offer to compensate, no first aid rendered to help minimize potential for infection. Nothing. They just continued on, rushing through the service. Even more stinging today, so much for a relaxing spa treatment. There was also blood on a finger, which received no comment from the aesthetician, just a nod. If there was an option for zero stars, I would use it. I cannot recommend this establishment; instead I caution others to beware. read more

This place is a local favorite. The greatest real life reviews come from blink blink nails and this place. Fancy nails is quality! Budget is a big deal with me. My nails are the best when I come here. Thank god for fancy nails. Great customer service and they welcome walk ins. I only waited for like 5 min. My 6 year old daughter also got a mani. I've been three times and have loved my nails all three times, and I'm OCD about my nails so that's saying a lot. Although I am a bit curious why I was charged 30$ the first gel manicure, 33$ the 2nd gel manicure, and $38 the 3rd gel manicure... I got exactly the same service all three times. I don't know if I'll be going back due to this : / The price shouldn't go up for the same service just because you're a repeat customer. I've been coming here for over 10 years and it's the best salon I've been to in the south bay. I used to live in Gilroy, then San Jose and now Morgan Hill, I've tried places all over, but I still drive to Gilroy monthly because I haven't found better service! All the ladies do great pedicures and manicures and they are so kind and always make sure you are happy. Lily is my favorite at acrylics and designs. I must say, I was a little nervous about getting my nails done. My daughter and I came here to have mother/daughter day and we were very satisfied with the service and results. Today was our second time here to get refills on our nails and we made an appointment with Li Li again. Li Li is very consistent and knows what she is doing! You can show her a pic or tell her what you want and she makes it happen. She is also very friendly, which makes the visit much more enjoyable. My daughter had a different nail technician last time, but was so impressed by the job Li Li did on mine, she requested her too. Again, Li Li delivered and exceeded all expectations!
