My husband and I moved here from Texas four years ago. The thing(s) we miss the most? Mexican food and good bbq. We spent several years trying any Mexican place we could find, but were let down every time. Then, this place opened up near our house and it's now our go to! It's seriously the closest thing to what we're used to that we've found since moving. They're affordable, the portions are great, and the staff is speedy, friendly, and efficient. WOW! We are big fans of Mexican/Tex-Mex, and Fandango happened to come up next on our list of places to try. I'm not sure we ever need to try anything else! I live down the street and have been wanting to try this place since it opened. I finally did, and wow I'm happy that I ate here! The decor and atmosphere is really nice. It's bright, inviting, clean, and the owners are very welcoming. The salsa they bring you tastes fresh and has a bit of a kick to it, delicious! I ordered a burrito and it was so hot until my last bite, that's how you know this food is made to order! FINALLY a good Mexican restaurant in West Orange. My husband and I stumbled upon this place by accident. We were driving on Pleasent Valley and the bright and colorful sign caught our attention. We both got chimichangas, guac, and queso. Everything was delicious and satisfying, I would definitely recommend this place. This chipotle completely underserved what I paid for. I paid for double meat in a burrito bowl and double meat in a burrito. The burrito was barely bigger than a snack, did NOT have double meat, and barely a tablespoon worth of guacamole that I paid for. I would not recommend. read more

Took my daughter here for lunch as it was one of just a few restaurants open on July 4th. What a great little find! The complimentary Chips and salsa before the meal were excellent. I ordered the Taco salad with grilled chicken, my daughter had a quesadilla. Both were delicious!! Very fresh ingredients. It's a cute little place a few spots down from Mark and Julie's ice homemade cream(also great). Since there aren't many good Mexican food options near by I hope this place makes it. Just had my first delivery from Fandango and it was extremely fast!! We received great food in less than1/2 hour. I was truly shocked that the food was so good and came so quickly. Had the chicken quesadilla and there was a lot of chicken. I would recommend this new restaurant to anyone that enjoys Mexican food. read more

What a sweet surprise! Welcome to the neighborhood. We will be regulars here. Everything was so fresh. The menu is inviting, with so many options that clearly we'll need to come back. We ordered mushroom soup, chimichangas and tacos with flan for dessert. The thing is, if you order tacos, you can have hard or soft, and several delicious taco options. The same was true with chimichangas-several unusual fillings and sauces to choose from. The interior is brightly decorated, with the feeling of "clean" everywhere. Delivery arrived pretty quickly but burritos were not what I was expecting. We came here on a Saturday night for dinner after a friend very particular about Mexican food recommended it. It did not disappoint! We were seated and immediately offered beverages and brought warm tortilla chips and salsa. Server was very knowledgeable about what menu items contained pork and pork products, (which I don't eat). We ordered a burrito Del Mar which included grilled shrimp and a tangy cabbage slaw. The burrito held together very well while eating and did not open or tear. I ordered a pulled short rib bowl with rice and black beans which was well seasoned and very enjoyable. The kids meal portions were generous. Service was very attentive. This is our favorite little place for Mexican food. The menu has the usual yummy items as well as some uncommon delicious ones. We love the anchos - Which have a special sauce on them - followed by tamales or enchiladas. The burritos are great and have many different filling combinations. The service is excellent and the owner and staff are welcoming and friendly. It's Cinco De Mayo 2020 during quarantine and I had placed an order with Fandango to compliment my tequila. I never had this place before but have heard good things. I placed the order via Door Dash and the restaurant confirmed the order at 6pm. An hour AN HOUR later they canceled my order on the restaurants side not even Door Dash's fault. Fandango canceled my order an hour in when I already had a driver waiting to pick it up. During such a hard time, it's the little things I look forward too and some nice Mexican food was something I was looking forward too. I understand everyone is having a tough time, restaurants especially, but even after the order was canceled I was trying to contact the store bc I was willing to pick it up curbside instead. I called multiple times just to receive a full voice mail box message over and over. I have never had Fandango and I will likely not have it ever after this experience. read more

the boss is prejudiced. since quarantine has started, he has not stood up to greet a single black person that has come into the restaurant to pick up their food. i have friends who are white and have gone in, and have claimed that he stood up to greet them,or pretend he was not on his phone, however my friends and i who are black have all noticed that he has never once stood up to greet us when we enter. i am not the only one who has noticed this treatment, and it's a shame because the ladies behind the counter are lovely, as well as the food, however the main owner is absolutely rude in the way he behaves towards people of color. my mother has ordered from here many times and always says that when she comes in she is greeted (she is white passing) however my father ( a dark skin black man)will come into the store and has said on numerous occasions that the man in the hat who i assume is the owner, sits on his phone and barely raises an eyebrow when he enters. do not spend your money here if you are a black person. it is a shame. read more
