Pleasantly surprised at how tasty everything was! My husband and I came in on a Mexican craving whim and really enjoyed our meals. The price point was perfect and the service was great. Both had good flavor and good texture elements. I could barely see the chipotle sauce on the Interesante so I had to ask for more. The Birria taco? Incomplete. It tasted okay but it was dry, and who in their right mind serves Birria without consommé? Other guests in our party were equally dissatisfied with their dishes, particularly the one who ordered the Chicken Tampiqueña. Our biggest gripe though? The horchata. I asked if it was house made and they said yes, but all three of us who ordered it said it tasted funky, and all three of us had to make pit stops before we reached our final destinations. I popped in to grab lunch for the family and ordered a shrimp burrito and 3 shrimp tacos. First of all, be prepared to spend a few extra coins here because the prices are up there! The food was freshly prepared so it took my order a little while to be ready. The portions were plentiful but the flavor unfortunately was lacking. Also I felt like something was missing?! I added hot sauce and sour cream when I got home & that helped a bit. The restaurant is small and full of beautiful Mexican decor. The staff was friendly and everyone properly wore their masks which gave me a little relief. It is located in a small but busy shopping complex, so the parking is not always the best. FINALLY FOUND A GOOD TACO PLACE NEAR ME!!! Honestly the value was amazing because these tacos were so big and around $4 a piece. The pastor taco was sooooo good and flavorful. The Burris taco had the birria meat but didn't have cheese and consommé like you'd get at other places but you don't need it because it's so moist. The flavor was great on both which I usually find to be a problem at local taco places. I also got the chips, guac, and salsa and everything was so fresh and delicious. I love trying out new mexican places in the neighborhood. Fandango had some of the best mole sauce I've ever had. I'd say its noticeably sweeter than the others that I've tried. Although that sounds odd saying, it really worked out in the dish. The meat was very flavorful and pulled apart with ease. I order from here all the time but I've never been in person. My favorites are the minichangas, the Al pastor tacos, the chimichanga queso lover, the flan, the tres leches, and the churros with vanilla ice cream. I used to always get the minichangas which are amazing. They give you three mini chimichangas cut in half. I think one's pork, one's beef, and one's chicken. They're cheesy, flavorful, and very satisfying. Then I recently got tacos and the Al pastor was my favorite. Honestly, it's perfect to me and it's more flavorful than some of the Al pastor tacos I've had in LA. The flan is great and it's the best one I've had. I can also say the same about the tres leches. I don't usually order dessert when I order takeout but now I have to get a dessert every time I order from here. Tonight I got the taco and chimichanga combo. I did al pastor for the taco and the queso lover chimichanga. They were both perfect. Here's the best part though, I got the churros with vanilla ice cream for dessert. I promise you, these were one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. I know that sounds dramatic. I was also really hungry and had a bad day but I feel like my taste buds are pretty reliable. These churros were cooked perfectly. I'm usually not a churro girly because they're always hard and dry. These were moist, soft and delicious. The sauces complement them perfectly. What can I say about Fandangos.. I love this spot. As a matter of fact it's one of my favorite local places to eat in West Orange. Family operated and it seems that they employ some of the high school kids as well. Service is always super quick which helps when I'm at work and don't have much time to wait for lunch.. I can pickup and go. If you want to sit down on the other hand, EVERYONE that works here is super nice. They care about your business. It's BYOB people!! Super under estimated spot. Let's get into it. I started my Fandango career trying out their Carne Asada burrito. Ingredient wise it's got everything I know and love inside of a flour tortilla. Flavorful as hell and it's honestly in my top 3 Fandango dishes and it's not #3. I'd recommend. I've tried their tostadas, the West Orange burrito, burrito Del Mar, Cancun salmon burrito, chimichanga clasica, carne asada nachos, the tacos salad (which is served in a crispy tortilla bowl), shrimp tacos, birria tacos, interesante tacos and the pollo tropical entree. ALL MULTIPLE TIMES EACH. As you can see I like to eat. My two other favorites are the birria tacos and the pollo tropical. I can't be sure but they seem to be newer menu items (within a year in the menu). I think they're beginning to expand the menu so that's great. Pollo tropical has nicely seasoned chicken breast pared with a tropical salsa (mango, apple and pineapple) which is my favorite part. It comes with Mexican rice and I got black beans. Yo this shit is perfect for those that enjoy the sweet and savory vibes. Top 3 choice. I'm going to tell you now. If you only like birria tacos because of Tik Tok you won't get what you're expecting from the birria at Fandangos. It doesn't come with consommé unfortunately and your corn tortilla is not dipped in consommé and put on the flat top prior to service. It's essentially their short rib nicely seasoned and cooked extremely tender. It's then placed in two corn tortillas and topped with cilantro and onion. Never understood why you get two corn tortillas per taco but I'm not complaining lol. - Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not Mexican and I'm not an expert but the Tik Tok versions I see with the melted cheese and all that is called quesabirria. Nonetheless the birria tacos also fit into my top 3 because they're juicy as hell and I tend to order more than I need. Fandangos gets a 4.4 / 5. Give them some love! read more

You walk inside to register area and your food has your name attached. We ordered shrimp fajitas, fish taco soft taco, Americana hard shell taco, and steak soft tacos. The hard taco must've fell over and it got soggy. You've been warned! The steak and ground beef were seasoned well. Shrimp fajitas can feed you for at least 2 meals.
