Good playground equipment that includes a playscape for younger toddlers. No canopy though so scorching on a hot day. That being said, there are shady areas in the park (saw a few families having picnics). The adjacent creek is nice. There's a little trail alongside it. Turn left (from playground) and you can see the famous Round Rock (just under the bridge). Turn right and you pass a war memorial and soon make it to the spiral (a spiral walking ramp that apparently offers nice views of the creek). It was super hot so we skipped the spiral. The thing that bothered me about this park -- there are lots of blank rusted signs. Were they ever in use or were they never completed? I was just confused by their presence. On top of that, I would have liked to see some actual signs. There were a few by the entrance of the park noting the location of the Round Rock, spiral, etc. But if entering the trail from the playground, you don't see any of this info. There's no sign by the Round Rock about its history and no sign by the tree sculpture by the spiral (at least credit the artist). Large parking area.

This park is the perfect drop off point which can link you to additional trails in the area for hiking and biking. It's other advantages consist of about a dozen parking spaces, a public bathroom, water fountain, covered playscape with swings and a circular gravel trail to walk laps on. Nearby is an additional area to practice your skateboard tricks. These trails run directly next to Gilliland Creek, which means during a period of torrential rains, the trails may actually be closed off. Good spot to bring the kids, dog or a bike.

It has a full playground with swings, a tennis court, swimming pool, (I think you need passes for the pool and tennis court), volleyball court, basketball court, picnic tables, and even a paved walkway that wraps around the park. There is plenty of open grassy space to run around, throw a frisbee. It's also dog-friendly with poop bags and a drinking fountain. The parking lot is a decent size although I could see it getting filled up very quickly for an event. Speaking of, this is also where they hosted this past "Hairy Man festival."

Cute park!…read more Playground is small but has a few unique attributes. First, it has a canopy! Nice not to worry about the blazing sun. There's a really fun pod you sit in and get spun around. Additionally, a really cool excavator tool that scoops up wood chips. It's a little tricky to control for smaller kids but fun with assistance. A little confusing to find parking. It's across the road -- under the bridge, actually. My husband and I disagreed on whether we like the parking arrangement. He loved that the car stayed cool but I felt a bit unsafe (felt like a secluded garage). Once you park, find the rock sign for the park. Follow the path to the pond. Go left at the pond to access the playground (I missed the path initially because you can't see that it continues from where you're standing) or go right to circle the pond (a nice walk) and find the playground that way. I preferred the longer walk to see ducks and turtles. The ducks have a cool floating house on the water. The playground was empty the entire time. Nice for social distancing. Maybe it's the fact that it's tucked away and a bit of a walk from the parking area. Either way, was nice to have it all to ourselves.

A nice little park along the Brushy Creek trails with lots to offer. You can enjoy nice views, sit…read moreon a bench and relax. You can watch or feed the ducks. You can also fish. The kids say there are catfish and an assortment of other types of fish to be caught. There is also a playground to bring the kids so they get some fresh air and exert some energy. Finally you can take pictures of all the going on. I am a little disappointed this year with the leaves changing color, but still a beautiful place. Parking is available under the bridge so don't fret!

It is located in a residential neighborhood on Rustic Rock Drive (Balcones Woods subdivision). The park feels pleasantly secluded while still being easy to access. Please note that Tanglewood Park and Austin Wellness & Rehabilitation Center have the exact same address and are on opposites sides of the street on Rustic Rock. Go figure... The park offers a nice portfolio of amenities, including a children's playgrounds, open green space, and courts for basketball and volleyball. Strolling through the park, you can see how it would be perfect for families spending time in the park and for residents getting some fresh air or leisurely exercise. The paved walking paths made it easy for us to stroll through the park. This nicely paved walking path takes you through the wooded area and makes it very walkable. The path appears to form a large circle. Look forward to spending more time this summer in this neighborhood park...

It has the monuments dedicated to the veterans of all branches of service as well as to the US Coast Guards and to the Merchant Marines. There is even a monument for the Gold Star Family members. Additionally the Park has a swimming pool, BBQ grills, lavatories, a dog park and a walking trail just to name a few of the activities. There is also plenty of parking. The next time you want some fresh air or a small picnic stop by here and enjoy.

It sits in a quiet residential neighborhood and there are apartments across the street. It is chocked full of well manicured trees, most of them being ceder trees. There is no parking lot, so you will have to park along the neighborhood street. There is no pool, bathrooms or any other amenities other than a water fountain. However, there are some very well designed play scapes and swings for the kids. There are quite a few picnic tables scattered around the park, but none of them are covered. There is a nice walking trail that goes around the park which sits on about 3 to 5 acres. At one end of the park you'll find some community gardens. There is also a large field next to the gardens to throw a frisbee around. Definitely one of the nicer neighborhood parks in Austin.

On the property sits a basketball court, swings, volleyball court, a Playscape and some covered picnic tables with grills. It also just happens to sit along a hike and bike trail. However, the one thing that should be pointed out is that this is an exclusive HOA Park for the residents only. I've included a lot of photos in this review for added insight.

There are a few picnic tables, a tiny library, a sanded volleyball court, and a concrete basketball court. There is no hike and bike trail. There is a small dirt track next to the park that is about 1/3 of a mile around. This is a great place to bring my kids so we can play and visit with our neighbors.
