Overall: 3.7/5 Moody Center is easy to get to and there were no long lines getting in or out. We always walk/scooter there to avoid the parking situation which has worked well for us. There were lots of food vendors all around which was a nice but they're mostly unhealthy food (pizza, burgers, fries, nachos). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only downside was that the sound system was not that great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks are overpriced as expected at a venue like this and food prices are also on the higher side, though not as bad as the drinks. Hoop Tea ($14.75): A lightly spiked iced tea but it was enough to hold us through the entire concert. We went to Chick-fil-A one time and Stubb's Bar-B-Q another. At Stubb's we split the ATX Burger ($16) and onion rings ($8) and both were pretty darn good. The burger came with crispy chips but the onion rings were the real winner. read more

One of the best parts is how easy everything is logistically too -- quick Uber drop zone and I can basically be home within minutes after a show. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wanted to give just 3 stars for that night that Madonna performed and she made us wait for several hours after show time to start and turned off the air conditioning for her throat[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (since for health reasons they should have warned us this would be happening so the rest of us who weren't Madonna but had our own health issues could plan accordingly - for instance I had a kidney stint in at the time and needed to drink a ton of fluids that night cause I was sweating like crazy and getting dehydrated). However some them I've seen Ice Cube and some other shows and they were fun...so I threw an extra star back your way dude. Ok Wayne? OK Garth? [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seats are a bit tight here so eat a salad before you come.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And drinks start at $17 for a beer and more for cocktails (you can get a margarita for $26). So leave your credit cards at home and you won't get tempted. Buying drinks here is insane in the membrane. The pizza smelled amazing but I didn't get to try it, after walking down the stairs I refused to walk back up and back down the stairs with my hands full. There was a self service kiosk to purchase drinks, for some reason they were making people on the floor pour beverages into cups which ended in a spill. We shall see concerts in the Alamodome or Chase Canter and headed here to see Bruce Springsteen as we try and catch some of our favorite artists while they are still touring! 4.5 My husband and I returned to the Moody Center to watch two separate concerts in the Month of March. We usually have to park at a distance and walk to the venue as they have streets closed off close to the venue. Sometimes we catch a pedicab but it depends on when we go and how often they come around. There are several entrances around the venue. You have to go through security before entering the building. As soon as you enter the building you have to check in with your digital tickets. Then you can get to where you need to go. There are several levels. There are elevators and escalators to go up and down different levels. There are merchandise stands where you can purchase the items you choose. There are several places where you can buy food, snacks, and drinks. Once you find your section and seats you can watch the show or event of your choice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seats are okay and mostly comfortable but they are really close together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sometimes I feel claustrophobic so my husband usually gets an edge seat for me if it's available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] *A side note* Unfortunately I lost my wallet at one of the concerts that I attended. They have a lost and found link online where you can put in a report of what went missing and how they can notify you on the status of your missing items. The Moody Center is one of my favorite entertainment venues in Austin. Moody Center is a $375M, 15,000+ seat premier venue featuring over 150 nights a year of unique entertainment. Moody Center features the best and biggest names in the music industry while hosting The University of Texas Women's and Men's basketball games, family shows and other sporting and local events. I have attended numerous concerts and Texas basketball games here, and most every experience has been problem free and enjoyable. Parking can be expensive and a challenge so be prepared to walk a distance if you don't want to pay a lot for parking. Getting through security is pretty easy, they have a clear bag policy. You have to empty your pockets and go through a metal detector. Then your tickets are scanned at the door. There are plenty of concession options, numerous local restaurants and bars with adult beverage options. The price point for is high but not completely outrageous. Moody Center is a cashless facility. There are plenty of friendly and helpful staff on site to answer questions and direct you to your seat. We went to see Alex Warren perform here, and the concert was awesome. I've never been to Moody Center before, but it's pretty comparable to other stadiums I've been to like the one in San Antonio, and some smaller ones in Houston. I saw Jo Koy last night and it was a packed house! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Despite it being completely full, it was extremely orderly. Moody's lay out is well designed for large crowds.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had floor seats and was worried getting out would be difficult but it wasn't so bad.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's different "portals" for different portions of Moody and everyone who worked there was very helpful and friendly about giving directions and checking tickets. There are several parking lots nearby that's a short walk or there's multiple bicycle carts to take you back and forth if you wanted. I also saw a lot of street parking that's open to the public after 6pm or so, so you don't have to pay for parking if you don't want to. If you do, I just used the Park Whiz app and it was so easy in and out with the QR code. This is much better than the show that I saw at Bass Concert Hall. There's also food options. They're OK. Saw Journey last night. Just an epic show. Traffic in of course is crazy, like any event. The road is closed right in front of the Moody Center. Which was super unfortunate for me. I was using GPS to find my parking garage, and the road closure didn't come up and I literally was feet away from the garage, which ended up being a 10 mile out of the way trying to go around the road closure. The struggle is real. If you can Uber in, highly recommend. But if you find parking further away, they have the Peddle bikes that will bring you. And they are everywhere! By the time I got to the parking garage, and got to the Center, there were no lines. I walked right through. Security looked inside my tiny purse, went through the doors. Someone scanned my ticket, and asked if I needed help finding my seats. I said yes. She looked at my ticket and said, just head up the escalator and keep walking till you see 29 that brought me through the doors inside the concert area. Then I looked for my section. Then my letter and my seat. SOOO, I don't know this arena and the seating, so I used the map to pick my seats. It did not, NOT show that I was the very VERY top row. So the map was a little miss leading. And actually a guy next to me asked, "did you know this was your seat?" I was like no. I would never go to the very top. But my ticket was $120! And I don't mind saving money for a top row seat, every so often. So something was a little off with the seating map. I've always picked side stage. How ever the seating was messed up. I was happy to be there. Happy to hear real music with heart, with soul, telling a story of love and heartache. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Moody Center is a really nice, large arena. Everyone is super helpful getting you to your seat. Lots of people everywhere willing to help you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do have food, and drinks, and can beer and White Claws. Of course they are expensive. I got a White Claw for $18.00. Maybe it was 20 ounces. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathrooms are everywhere, and they are clean. I went to Moody Center for Twice THIS IS FOR 2026 tour both Friday and Saturday! Friday was a VIP day for me and everything was organized and went very smoothly. We got our bags, quickly entered the venue and waited for soundcheck. I tried The Feels cocktail which was alright- but not bad for other music venues I've been to. It was about $23 after tip which honestly is on the cheaper side for most stadiums/venues/theaters etc. I also had the Tony Cs Pizza pockets which were really good and super cheap! $12 for three I was pleasantly surprised. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sound, vibe, and lighting was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall 10/10 experience Saturday: I was non VIP which was a pretty different experience from the day previous. We bought tickets really easily at the box office at about 12 pm and the transfer and payment was super smooth. The only real issue we ran into was the disorganization of lines trying to enter. There was a sign up pointing to where the GA floor was supposed to line up but not the seated tickets. There was no designated line for merch so the one that was formed ended up merging with concert goers trying to get in. It was a very confusing process but a staffer ended up getting things under control. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was in the Dell Technology lounge area for this day and honestly was pleasantly surprised with how organized and clean it was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the buffalo chicken loaded fries there at the burger stand they had and it was alright- nothing special but to be expected for concert food that's being pumped out in the matter of seconds. Overall : 8/10 experience for day 2 I'm still giving Moody a 5 star because honestly, compared to other places you can't beat the prices. In February at the Toyota Pavilion in Irving, I paid $20 for a Michelob Ultra, whereas the Moody center has them for $13.25. That's a pretty nice gauge on what the prices look like in comparison throughout. read more

I've been attending the UT Women's Basketball games here with my partner in crime. I came back to the Moody Center for yet another concert. This time around, I came to see Jason Aldean. However, this is the first time in a long while that I did not have floor seats or seats that were not in the mezzanine. I had seats on the balcony level. As I had these 'nose bleed' seats, I discovered that these seats, unlike those on the floor, are closer together and because of the tight space, it is compulsory to stand for each person that requires exciting  of a row for any reason regardless of where you are seated. Aside from the tight space, for those with poor or limited vision, these seats are less than ideal. However, the acoustics at that level are not terrible. It is easy to hear the artists as well as the band that accompanies them. Aside from the tight seating, the same amount of vendors located on the balcony level can be found on the ground floor. The main difference that concert and/or entertainment seekers will find is that upper levels will not have merchandise tables. Regardless of where you sit, if you get to the venue early enough you can find free parking right outside of U.T. Bass Concert Hall. If you get to an event later, parking will be limited or non-exsistent which require patrons to Uber/ Lfyt to the venue or to take a bicycle cab. read more

It was a blast! sound was great, visuals were good. staff were nice. crowd was respectful. got to sit throughout the entire show and enjoy the view. bought a seltzer at one of the grab and go sections. very easy to use. they did ask for a tip, but i did not tip because nobody helped with anything. the seltzer was expensive, but to be expected with these types of events. did not get any food items since i had dinner right before parking is located a few blocks away. ubered instead and it was fine. read more

I think I liked the old Moody Center better. Maybe because I feel like the monster Jam show my family and I just attended wasn't the same. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The suites are kind of open and other patrons can throw popcorn into your suite from theirs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The suites are much smaller here and they don't have private restrooms like the old center had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm still not completely sold on this one. The food is way overpriced and the toys purchased from oriental trading is overpriced but I understand that comes with events being held here. Austin, Tx. I like that the Moody brings in popular acts, they really have the room for all the fans. I found the concert to be great, thank you Billy Strings! Like all large arenas I've been to, there are always some problems. Upon arriving early , there was zero communication about which door to enter. I found one line queued up and was going to stand in it only to find out it was just a merch line, go in, purchase your stuff, then get out. We then found another line, but these folks were the "First 100" and had been there since the early morning. They all had wrist bands. I bet number 101 was pretty bummed out! They got to go in early and they're all in the mosh pit. I didn't know about said mosh pit, otherwise known as "General Admission". For the Eagles concert a while back, if you had Row2 center, you were right up to the stage. This time, Row2 center just means you have a place to sit. The entire mosh pit of several hundred people is standing right in front of you! This was a bit of deception on the part of Moody Center, are ticket holders for floor seats supposed to research this and figure it out somehow? The seating chart does not show this. For some reason if the doors open at 6:00, as posted, it really means 6:30. At 6:30 the security people are just ambling around looking like maybe they should do something. At 6:45 they started letting people in. Once inside we knew not how to get to the floor seats. Finally we found a knowledgeable guy who walked us over to the correct stair case. I could find no drinking fountain to fill my empty water bottle. Non of the ushers knew. I had to purchase a small bottle for $8.00. But once we were on the floor I walked over to a very convenient restroom and found a drinking fountain. I then walked over to this lady who for some reason was guarding the entrance to some kind of pastry shop. I asked if I could purchase a cup of coffee. The answer was "No, there is no hot coffee, you have to purchase a cold brew, in a can". So I went to the beverage guy but all the cold brews were straight black or Mexican Vanilla. I tried the M.V. It was horribly sweet. After the show, we were all slowly herded up three flights of stairs to the upper level where there are a few exits. In an emergency situation, this lack of exits is going to cause great harm. I'm 80 years old, and I made it up those stairs, but slowly. No way if I was rushed. We walked back to our hotel which was nearby. We were walking with a large group who parked downtown. I'm not sure where most people park, but you better research it. It looked like campus parking garages were closed to the public. The people on the trikes were really hustling. I'm not sure how much they charge, but it is an alternative to walking. The sound on the floor was good. Very loud, but good. The rotating spotlights in the audiences eyes was really an annoyance. The cheap seats are waaay up there! I heard also about echos up there. You will definitely need binos if you opt for those seats. Look at the photos posted before you commit. read more

I came her for a UT Women's basketball game. The Moody Center functioned really well for this event. First of all, everything is clearly marked to help you find your seats. Next, the video screens helped show the action for people seating in the higher seats. The score was posted clearly in more than one place for easy reference. The concourse had many different food options; however, we did not check any of them out. Like others have noted, parking wasn't really convenient. We walked quite a distance to get there. But it was a nice day, and a daytime event, so it didn't bother us. read more

I frequent shows at Moody Center and it is a standard experience for arenas of this size, designed to facilitate 10,000+ people entering and exiting each night. The stage setup changes depending on the show - I have seen everything from half the arena blocked for an intimate performance, to a 360 floating stage that included standing-room tickets on the "bridge". MY favorite food are the nachos or the burger. It is also designed to be a basketball arena for UT. There are often sales for suites & club seats if you sign up for emails. The staff are friendly and generally are knowledgeable, especially the seat attendants (the security is contract). My only gripe is it's owned by Ticketmaster/Livenation, so prices tend to be higher due to the monopoly. The city of Austin is lucky it attracts such big name artists! read more

The Moody Center in Austin, Texas, is absolutely incredible! The VIP lounge is next-level, offering an amazing selection of specialty foods crafted by talented chefs. I've been to several concerts here, and every experience has blown me away. The way this venue seamlessly transforms from one artist to another--whether it's Jelly Roll, Mariah Carey, or Justin Timberlake--is truly impressive. From the moment you arrive, everything runs flawlessly. From the parking lot to the building's architecture and interior design. I have a new opinion of Moody Center after seeing Pierce the Veil last week. I've been once or twice before in the stands and would say it's an above average venue. The sound is good, it's pretty organized, and you can see the band decently. But on the floor the experience is absolutely elevated. You feel like you're at a much smaller concert than you are at! Much better views of the stage and an exclusive bar. I can't imagine paying full price for this view, so I was happy to be hooked up, but oh man this is the experience you want! read more

Went to a 3 o'clock show was told the venue would open at 2 o'clock accidentally arrived at 1:45. The temperature was 93°. We were lined up on the hot asphalt at 1:45 against the metal building in the sun. The venue did not open until 2:20. Once inside the building we were still not allowed to go to our seats, we bought food and stood around in the lobby for another half hour with no place to set our food down. The event was supposed to start at 3:00, but it didn't start until 3:30. Apparently it was planned that way. I also noticed that I paid $120 per ticket and on the day of event I checked and ticket prices in my same section were available for $69. Fantastic event with good vendors, at a lousy venue. I think customer service was terrible to treat us so badly. read more

The stadium is located in a college town so it will be pretty easy to walk or ride share there. There are multiple entrances with a lot of workers to help you navigate where your seats are. The facility is very clean and open with several merchandise stands. Our seats were high, but surprisingly we had a very good view of the stage. The steps were not short and steep as concert venues can tend to be, so I would have felt fine in heels if I knew that beforehand. Although I still think it's better to wear comfortable shoes in concerts in general. The seats were comfortable and not too small, but definitely not super roomy. No drink holders or much leg room so try not to carry too much stuff. I read the online rules for purses or bags so I made sure I had an approved clear crossbody to carry my essentials. The sound system was actually good. Not too loud or shaky and very clear. I would try to make note of how you came in so that you can leave without the confusion. The crowd can be a lot when exiting all at once and it goes in a circle. I didn't see a designated ride-share pick up spot, so keep that in mind when leaving and having a plan on hot to get back to wherever you need to go. I saw Justice at the Moody Center and it was nothing short of incredible. Sitting in the front center row just behind the sound crew gave me the perfect vantage point--both visually and sonically. The mix was crystal clear, and it felt like I was hearing the show exactly as it was meant to be experienced. The production was next-level. Justice's visuals, lighting, and stage design were completely immersive. Their signature cross lit up the arena, and every beat hit with precision. They played a strong mix of classics and new tracks, and the entire crowd was locked in from start to finish. The Moody Center itself is a beautiful venue--modern, well-designed, and efficient. Entry was smooth, staff were friendly, and even with a full crowd, it never felt chaotic. The arena feels large but still manages to give you that intimate concert energy, especially when you're close to the stage. Concessions were solid, but be prepared for high prices--pretty typical for a large venue. I can't speak to parking since I walked, but the location is great for anyone staying nearby or coming from downtown. If you're considering attending a major show here, I highly recommend sitting near the sound crew for the best audio. This was one of the best live music experiences I've had in Austin. read more

Been to the new Moody center twice now for the fluffy show and the Marc Anthony concert. both shows were great and it looks like you can't go wrong with seats. It seems like every angle is a good choice. There is a section "Dell club" that is nice and has their own vendors in the lounge area for drinks and food. We tried the chicken tenders and fries and it was pretty good. Expensive! lol but good. They have areas where you can take selfies as well. Looking forward to checking out more events there. read more

Came to the Moody Center ATX last night for an event and was seriously impressed! Aside from the typical traffic getting in, everything else was seamless. I was through security and inside within 15 minutes... super efficient. The venue is immaculately clean, with restrooms being cleaned frequently, and great air conditioning (a lifesaver in Texas summer heat). Tons of friendly staff were stationed throughout the venue, making it easy to find seats, and clear signage helped navigate parking and rideshare areas. Drinks were pricey.. $5.50 for a water or soda, but that's pretty standard for big events. I didn't try the food, but there were a variety of options available if you're hungry. Parking tip: Prepay for a garage spot! I had a handicapped placard and was able to buy a same-day pass for $60. A bit expensive, but totally worth the convenience... close to the venue and quick to exit. I was back at my hotel in just 10 minutes post-show! There was also a strong police presence, which made me feel safe knowing help was nearby if anything happened. All in all, a top-tier venue. I'd absolutely come back for another concert or event here! read more

My first time visiting the Moody Center was to see Linkin Park! I was nervous because our raffled tickets got us behind the stage and I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that they had screens up and the band would turn and actually face us during the concert. I actually enjoyed being up close to the band but not in the crowded pit. All this to say - the seats behind the stage aren't that bad! Moody center overall was very clean & easy to navigate and I enjoyed my night! read more

Never even heard of this place until I came flew in from Tucson. I came in to see Charli XCX. Honestly there's not really a bad seat in this venue. I felt really close being in the nosebleeds without having to be on the floor. I got really great views and the food and everything is relatively inexpensive. I didn't pay an arm and leg like I thought I would have to. Overall was a pain to get an uber out but they had a system getting cars in and out. Would recommend still to come out and check out if your favorite artist is in town. People were relatively nice and got the food and drinks quickly as well! read more

Got to see the Spurs play the pistons!!! Austin DESERVES their own professional basketball/American football team!! No disrespect to Austin FC who are awesome!! But it was loud raucous, just a cacophony of screams, cheers, and excitement. Getting to and from the venue was seamless despite the construction. And getting into the venue, and to our seats was much faster than I had anticipated. Concessions were insanely overpriced. And they didn't have nacho cheese for the pretzels. They have a no cap policy for beverages . But it was a fun experience. read more
