The stylists are friendly and upbeat, but they consistently give me a 2 week cut even though I beg to make it shorter. I can never really tell if enough was cut off until I get home and play with it. My color only lasts 2 weeks, too. My spikes last one week. I want to only come once a month. It's too bad because they are talented and friendly. I'm not sure if it's a general policy to try to get people to come in more than once a month, but if I am given an adequate cut, I'd encourage family members to come in. Also, the app is very glitchy. Please. When someone wants it short, make it short! Remember, cut more off so it's perfect in 2 weeks. read more

Don't discount chain Hair Salons. I've had 3 different hairdressers and they have all been great. Staff members are pleasant. I have to specifically recommend Jeff Grolemund. He does great color matching and blending away the grey. If you like to be more adventurous with your color than me he can definitely fix you up. My hair looks and feels great. read more

I remember going to Fantastic Sams many years ago when I lived in California and was pleasantly surprised to find one near me now that I am in Florida. They have a women's special on Mondays from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. The regular price is $21 but on Mon it is $17 and there is a coupon for 1st time new customers. I haven't had my hair cut since May and probably should go more often but haven't been as regular since Covid. My hair is mid length and I usually keep it up in a clip or in a pony tail off my neck. I fantasize about having a very short buzz cut as it would make life so much easier but I'm not sure I can pull it off. My hair has been thinning over the last several months so getting it cut short I feel my scalp would be more exposed to sun and appear vs having my longer hair layover it. Genesis gave me a very quick, simple trim. She took off a few inches of what I felt was dead with broken cut ends. She gave me long layers in the front to frame my face but leaving it long enough so I can still pull it out of my face. She was very pleasant and gave me hope. She told me that there are 7 growth cycles and stress contributes to hair loss (which I know). Maybe my hair is going through a cycle and will grow back. She suggested I give myself head massages to get the blood flowing. The place was clean, well lit and my trim took about 20-30 mins. I originally signed up on line to get the coupon and booked an appt for 3:00 p.m. since I already had a commitment at 4:30 p.m. They called me to move my appt since one of the stylist had something unexpected come up. I moved it to 6:15 p.m. and arrived early. The online schedule didn't line up with the other schedule so they took me closer to 6:30 so I ended up waiting about 30 mins. It was ok since I didn't have anything afterwards. Hopefully it was just a one time thing. I will try going again. For a basic trim Fantastic Sams worked perfectly! Fantastic! read more

I have waited months to write this review, I have wavered back and forth as to whether or not I should even bother. I hate writing bad reviews, it goes against my nature. However, the emotional affects of what happened to my hair still linger. It will take a good year, or more, to get my hair back to where it was when I first went here. First visit, I went to have my roots done and to get a haircut. The stylist did something wrong, very wrong. My hair was burned so bad, it broke off severely over the following weeks. I had random short pieces everywhere. By the time it stopped breaking, I had bangs near my roots. I didn't have any sort of bangs when I went in. Secondly, she didn't finish cutting the length. It went straight across then plummeted to an uncut area. I went back the next day to speak to the manager, privately. She straightened my length. She also gave me some products to help heal my hair. A couple months later, I went back. Why?? I don't know really. The manager was supposed to give me a Balayage hairstyle, instead she turned my hair green, and destroyed it even more. She charged me over $200 for this treatment. They have no shame. I have spent over a thousand dollars trying to repair my hair, because of their mistakes. So do yourself a huge favor, don't go here. read more

I was supposed to be there in an hour and they called me to cancel because Hannah had to leave. They said they could get me in tomorrow only to cancel again, I am sure. I will find someplace that is professional and responsible. And to think I was warned by so many people not to go here. Were they right! read more

I ended up leaving and not even getting my haircut!! Moved to Florida last July 2022. I have tried three different salons and stylists to replace my stylist from Indiana who I had gone to the last 12 years. Each stylist did not meet the quality of my stylist from home. She owned her own shop, so I have never considered a chain like this. Crystal the salon manager is excellent on all accounts. I went in for a trim and i specifically asked for an inch off with some long layers, and what the woman did to my hair was bad. It's uneven and choppy. Not to mention she was sort of aggressive while doing my hair. She was practically whipping my head around the whole time and rushed so she could run off to the bathroom. Just wanted to let everyone this locations sucks. Had a appt, made it 24 hours in advance and found out they were double booked and they let me sit there for 30 minutes before they told me. Took my sons in for haircuts. They received two of the worst hack jobs I've ever seen. The manager came over at one point and took the shears from the stylist and tried to fix it but the damage was already done. She listens to what you want and gives suggestions on what would look great on you. She is up with the latest trends and has always done an amazing job. I asked for a trim of three inches, my hair was cut about 5inches. I asked for layers, none were cut. When I got home my husband noticed my hair was uneven. It was then that I realized Taryn didn't even bother to brush the stray hairs off me. I have rarely made an appointment and every time I walk in I never have to wait more than 2 min. The staff is always very friendly and the rates are extremely affordable. This place is one of the best! I don't understand how anyone can give this place a bad rep. I come here every few months to get my highlights redone (I'm naturally a brunette and I get balayage put in) and they always do a fantastic job for a good price! I paid $16 to look like I cut my own hair with a hunting knife. I had just gotten my hair done in a style I LOVED at a much, much better salon, and I decided to get a tweak to frame my face just a bit better and make the style from a 9/10 to a 10/10. She proceeded to frame the bottom half of my head. I'm talking two-thirds of the bottom half of my hair, gone. The top half is like a mushroom cap, and it has a shaggy look, like I went through a shredder. No attention to face shape at all. And she said that now I have "fun hair." On a positive note, the receptionist was very warm. But I will never go here again. read more

Jessica is the best! Two years ago, my hair was "fried" from another stylist at another salon. I consulted with a few other salons/stylists, but when I consulted with Jessica, I knew she was the one for me. She explained that it would take time, but she would help me if I would be patient with the process of making it healthy and looking beautiful at the same time. She also installed tape-in extensions that really helped me feel better about myself after the fried-hair fiasco. I wish I had taken "before" pics.
