Hello, my dad and I were loyal customers since you opened in this location until he died last year and until I moved about 3 years ago. My son had his first haircut there. He's engaged now. And, he is still a regular customer. I came in today for the first time in a while, because of a 50% off ad I saw for color services.
In the last 3 months I have spent hundred of dollars in a process to make my hair match my new growth. I have medium brown hair, which has gotten pretty gray on the crown and framing my face. After waiting 12 weeks to put in more highlights on those areas, and some lowlights in other areas to match my medium brown hair color, I decided to come back to FS - because of their color special.
I saw Daniel, who was apparently rushed due to an influx of customers wanting cuts. I could see it was getting busy so offered to come back next week for the cut. We went over what I needed done, what my goal was and what I had had done in the last 3 months. And I cannot tell you how devastated I am with what he did to my hair. It is mortifying. I have a funeral to attend in 2 days and I am desperate to get it fixed before I have to be seen in public. I have huge chunks of "highlights" and red/brown hair which in no way whatsoever resemble what we discussed, much less anything natural. Some pieces of color start close to the scalp and with some, there's over half an inch of virgin hair before the lightener or odd red/brown color was applied. The specific areas I pointed out that really needed lightening were ignored. But perhaps the worst is the lowlights. To begin with, colorists always show you swatches or examples of the color they recommend. Daniel did not. And what came out is not at all the color of my medium-brown new growth. It was done in huge chunks which are clearly fake and have ruined my entire head of hair. What's even worse is that there are many visible areas that didn't manage to get touched with this color until maybe half an inch from my scalp. Some strands show a patch of lightened hair and the rest is this reddish brown color. The most heartbreaking are chunks of my hair that are new growth, then lightened blonde, and then reddish brown. To say it looks bad is an understatement. I am mortified. As I said I have spent hundreds of dollars and 3 months of time only to have this man completely ruin my hair and cancel all that work that's been done. PLUS - this cost me $77.50. And I will have to spend a lot more to have this fixed - IF POSSIBLE. Then I will have to spend all those hundreds of dollars AGAIN to get back where I was before Daniel absolutely destroyed it.
So if you want an inexpensive cut- by all means go to FS. There are several excellent stylists there who do a great job with cuts. But never under any circumstance let FS touch your head with chemicals
UPDATE: The FS franchise owner contacted me on 3/01 to offer reimbursement, and hair repair services at a different location. That was one week ago. Since then not only did my charge get debited from my account, I contacted the owner again and she has not replied.
If I weren't too embarrassed to post pictures of my hair, I would. But I am heartbroken and devastated about what it looks like. The process it took to "fix" what Daniel did to my hair caused breakage and I look like a recovering chemo patient. I will not be able to do anything to cover or blend my new growth. It is horrifying that not only did a FS employee destroy my hair, I was promised refund and damage control and a week later it still has not happened.
