Went in with Virgin hair down to my butt, told her I only wanted 3-4 inches cut with long layer face frame and curtain bangs. Left with hair above my bra strap and short bangs. Hair was uneven, had to go back a second time for her to fix it, which made it worse. Left with weird Barbie bangs that she cut straight across and then tried to thin them out leaving little hairs going everywhere. Bangs aren't even, haircut is horrendous, and this is why I can't find a good hair salon. Since my appointment I have tried to style and it's impossible, i now have to wear a headband until hair grows out bc my bangs are awkward. Nadia is who cut my hair. Nice salon, good vibe, but management definitely needs to review credentials better for stylists working there. As I feel a face frame/curtain bang cut is simple. --------------- In reply to the reply, I actually went back to the same stylist later that week for her to "fix", and actually made it worse - my bangs were an inch above where they are pictured. LOL It's been 2 months bc I have been waiting for them to grow out to maybe see if there is something I can do so I can wear them styled. Unfortunately there are chunks missing in random areas throughout causes fly aways, but again. A review is a review for a reason. I don't recommend you to go here. They only seem to know how to do their own highlights. I paid tip too. So my hair falling off is my fault? I supposedly went to a professional. He looked at my hair days before we even did the appointment. He touched it and he told me he can help. I even showed him pictures of what I had wanted. He told me he could do that. The review was my personal experience. If other people had a great experience well then good for them. I had told him I just wanted the orange off and one whole color, but he kept talking about how the girl in the picture had highlights. I'm not an expert but the girl in the picture did not have highlights. It's just not right that I paid 220$ just to get heat damage, hair loss, not the right color, and etc. So if you wanna say it's my fault for this you'll be hearing from me again. One year ago, I went in to go from blonde to my natural color. Lejan was my stylist, and he did a fantastic job (I'm still thinking about it after a year). He consulted his colleague on their approach, and darkened my hair. After about two weeks it was a very natural looking brown, and as time went on it faded to my natural color. You often learn a lesson the hard way. $155 later I like the color but did not receive what I wanted- it wasn't even close. I understood certain things couldn't be done as I have fine, thin hair. The consultation with Robert provided information that I thought would continue to the appointment. But it is a bit inconvenient to go for a consultation, return for cut and color, return for hair hydration, and return again for highlights. The Pixie cut received is shorter and uneven- there is nothing different from all other cuts received. My hope was that it would be something different. Spoke with the owner a few minutes ago. Since I will not opt for hydration won't be receiving highlights. It's really a shame that the consultation by Robert was the highlight of the visits. The owner did offer to find a salon that would do highlights without hydration. I'll wait for the hair to grow out, wash it often to decrease the color and return to my natural color of white. read more

I've been a client of Robert's for about three years now and I absolutely love his service. My daughter is also a client of a Robert's and we have no complaints. He provides cuts, styles, annual funky summer hair coloring for my kiddo, touch ups to my balayage, and wonderful treatments. I had been wanting to color my hair for a very long time and didn't find anyone I truly trusted until meeting Robert. He was very genuine and honest with me and took the time to explain how the process worked so I didn't damage my hair. No other salon did this for me. Robert's after care instructions were also great and he never tried to pull a Visible Changes move and up-sale crap I didn't need. Will someone please answer the phone there? I have tried calling 23 times, over a span of the last three months and I always get the same voicemail. After leaving numerous messages not one has been returned. I understand COVID restrictions and limited staffing but it is just common decency as a customer driven business to return their call. Either turn the phone off or return the customer's voicemail. On a different note: The last few years my wife has seen Meghan three times for a simple cut and highlights. Meghan is a phenomenal stylist who always goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. The 1-star rating is not due to Meghan who deserves more than just five stars, the one star is for LUX the company. Just got a hair cut a week ago from Yvette. I like no frills or anything fancy, just wash and go is good for me. I requested a layered cut to poof up my flat head and thin medium length hair. Meghan is very skilled and knew exactly what needed to be done to fix my hair color. Long story short: I have never left a salon happier. Details: Left a message requesting an appointment, had a phone consultation, date was set. (Confirmed again day before) COVID measures: I waited at my car until my appointment time. Upon entering I was temp checked then washed my hands. Everyone wore a mask. And very few people actually in the salon. Lejan was very friendly and informed me of the process and estimated time. Also gave me tips and recommendations about my newly treated hair before I left. It was a long process, but Lejan and his fellow stylist (Robert?) were very sweet and worked fast without rushing through. I informed Lejan that I was tender-headed and he was very gentle with my scalp. I was nervous about the transformation, but very happy with the results! September will mark my hair-versary with this place. Lee has been my go-to stylist this past year, since my last stylist of seven years (from another salon) had mysteriously gone MIA. I found the place on Yelp and told the person over the phone my situation and explained my nervousness of finding a new stylist. So glad I did not have to search long for an expert hair colorist and stylist. I love how he just gets my hair. We don't have long discussion about my hair and he doesn't ask me thousands of questions. I just trust that he's the expert and he knows how to make me look my best. We're working on growing out my hair this year, so I'm pretty excited to see where we go from here. His whole team, who I feel I have gotten to know pretty well over the year, all seem pretty knowledgeable and seem to genuinely care about their clients' hair needs. I have been growing out a disconnected low fade cut for the past few months and it was looking very top-heavy and awkward. I was going back and forth on just leaving it alone to let the sides and back grow out more versus going to someone skilled who could tweak the top to balance more with the sides. The salon is full of natural light and friendly. It was Valentines Day and one of the employee's mother brought treats snd a balloon for the whole salon. It sweet to see how Mom greeted the employees and how excited they were to see her. I commented on another customer's haircut and my stylist Alanna was also so complimentary. Briana, shop owner I believe, cut my mom's hair. Both Briana and Alanna were amazing! Some salons are so pretentious and act like they've never heard of grocery store shampoo. The employees at Lux were chatting about shopping at TJMaxx. I'm good with that because I shop all over the place too! The two haircuts were very reasonably priced. I don't have a regular hair stylist, I never really get my hair cut because I'm always scared it's gonna end horribly. However I turned to Yelp for suggestions for my sister and I and went to Lux on a whim. It was the best decision I've ever made regarding hair. She tried to curl my hair the way the wonderful salon that fixed me up did but she again did not know what she was doing. Drying my hair and going straight to a curling iron. I told her she could style it the way she wanted it (curled or straight) when curling failed she decided to "straighten" it. I chose not to go back in because as a stylist you should take pride in your work and she let me leave that salon after being there 5 hours looking like a hot mess.
