My daughter's soccer team had their end-of-season party here and it was an absolute blast! It turned out to be the perfect place to celebrate the girls after a great season. We reserved four bowling lanes for the team and ordered pizza and drinks, which made it really easy to relax and enjoy the time together. The atmosphere was fun and lively, and the staff was very accommodating and laid-back throughout the whole event. They made everything feel easy and stress-free, which is always appreciated when you're coordinating a group of excited kids and parents. We never felt rushed and were able to take our time enjoying the afternoon. The girls had so much fun bowling, cheering each other on, and celebrating together. It was great to see them laughing and enjoying themselves after working so hard all season. The parents had a great time too--chatting, catching up, and celebrating the season alongside the girls. After bowling, many of the kids spent time in the arcade area. While it's not huge, there were plenty of games to keep them entertained and they had a lot of fun trying different things and competing with each other. My latest trip to Indio garnered this visit to Fantasy Lanes not just once but twice. First, this place is great because it's connected to Fantasy Springs casino, however the entrance to the bowling alley from the casino is tucked away in the corner. It has an old school alley feel and is very lively with lots of lanes. One of the visits was on a Saturday evening so it was a little crowded and we had a short wait. There also the option for laser bowling later in the evening which seemed popular with the kids. The lanes themselves were in pretty good shape as well as the seating areas. The only thing I had trouble with was finding lighter-weight balls. In all, this is great family entertainment for all ages and you can always visit the many restaurants and casino games before or after. That's a win in my book! read more

I have been to this bowling location twice. The most recent visit was about three weeks ago (October 2024). At first glance, it looks, sounds and smells like a typical bowling alley. Our experience included: 1. Staff that were more interested in chatting among themselves than helping customers 2. Disgusting rental shoes that don't fit well 3. A shortage of lighter weight balls 4. BIG PROBLEM - lanes that are not well kept - sticky drinks spilled on them so your shoes don't slide. I hurt my back when my foot stuck at the ball release point as a result. Thankfully, not a serious injury. Other than the above, it's a pretty typical bowling experience. The wait time in the late afternoon isn't too bad, and the scoring machine and automated equipment seems to work OK. Overall, we will be looking for a better maintained facility in the area. We arrived at 7pm and were told that they would not be able to sell the 4 of us only one game because they shut down at 7:30 for laser bowl. Not disclosed at an earlier phone call when I had inquired. We ended up bowling on game each. These are older bowling lanes using the AMF scoring system. More recreational, teenagers and kids, than older league bowlers. Very kid and family friendly environment. Facility is run down and needs some maintenance. There are tables in the back for viewing and eating. Each lane has 4 seats in a half round situation. House balls are rough and old. If you're a bowler, these lanes are dry - no oil. Be careful if you bring you own shoes and have a shoe cover on your slide. We couldn't trust the floor to not be sticky from food. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We are on vacation in Indio, and wanted to bowl, so we came by Fantasy Lanes. After the employee at the desk told us to talk to the customer at the lane about how much longer he would be. So we asked the customer in the lane, and he said that he has one more game. So we waited. FORTY MINUTES later after he played more games, we went up and politely asked him again how long he'd be. The manager came up to us very aggressively and told us that we can't approach customers. We told him that we were advised to do so by his employee at the desk. The manager was incredibly hostile, as was all the staff. And why couldn't we use another lane? Because all the rest of the lanes were "reserved" for an event a few hours later. The bottom line is that the staff are really really rude, and communicate terribly. I would never go here again, and would recommend that everyone else avoid it. Took my kids bowling and the guy there was very rude, he seemed like he disliked working there. If you pay with a credit card make sure they only charge you once. At the bowling lanes they only charged me once but then a second charged appeared a day later. At the snack bar they double charged me that same night I didn't even know until I left and checked my credit card. Fix your lanes. This place is in very serious need of a major overhaul. First off, broken equipment. The pinsetters need to be replaced. Sometimes, pins will fall down before they're even set. Two, balls won't come back through the ball return and can get stuck. The real problem is that safety is obviously not their top priority. I fell here 2 times, and both times, I hit my knees hard. Here's the kicker, both times, I didn't even cross the foul line. I'm not the only one who was a victim of this. I have seen numerous people fall here, and it's the same thing. They don't even cross the foul line. Get this: it's because of the quality of the lanes. This is the only bowling alley where I fell. It never happens at other bowling alleys I go to. These lanes are not safe to bowl on. This place has serious problems and these lanes need to be gutted and replaced with better equipment like Brunswick GSX pinsetters, and better quality lanes. First, they do not know how to give a refund, only the manager has the authorization and the knowledge. two seperate occasion i came in as a walk in. Both times they quoted me it would be a 30 minute wait until a lane was open. The first time i waited an hour and got to bowl. This time i waited 2 hours and the lane they gave me didnt even work after bowling one frame. They told me they would refund me but the wasted time i had waiting was not worth the $22. I went in today, just for the chili cheese fries. I'm sad that the recipe is different but they still taste amazing. The beans in the chilis is my FAVORITE part. I can't find any other place in the valley that offers chili cheese fries with the beans. The lady at the food court was super friendly and they were fast too. This bowling alley can quickly ruin any bowlers experience. The workers refused us the bumpers. My son is autistic with low muscle tone. Has trouble throwing the ball. After the first game she finally put them up for my son. I'm a terrible player as well. I round up with a total score of 12 (2 games). What a waste of money and horrible bowling experience for him. We have a local bowling alley near us where we live which allows us to use bumpers. My son was excited to show his grandparents his bowling skills, which quickly grew into frustration. Horrible service! 1st I came here we were bowling as a very large group. Nobody else in the entire place. The lanes have no warning that time is running out and we were on the 9th frame all bowling great games.. all the sudden times up.. the workers wouldn't turn it back on for one more frame even though we had paid for around 6 lanes, bought food etc.. This time we went, paid for 2 hours. After an hour mid game it just timed us out.. We showed them the receipt and apparently it was for both lanes, 1 hour each. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.. if that's how you charge it should reflect per lane in the receipt or at the very least the desk should inform you. Don't just assume. When you ask for 2 hours of bowling that's what you should get. Just go to Palm Springs Lanes, better deals and better service for sure read more

This place is a joke to say the least. Run down. 1/2 the lanes and arcade games don't work seems like they wanna make the most profit while pushing as little money into this dump as possible. Walked in for bowling at 8 and they told me "sorry we are shut down till 9 for laser bowling" I thought damn what am I to do for an hour? The lady behind the counter says we can put our names on the list, walk around and our lane will be ready by 9. So that's what we do We walk around and it's about 850 so we think we should head back we walk in, takes us about 20 minutes to get to the counter (only 1 party of 6 in front of us) and when we get there they say "sorry we gave up your spot, we called your name out 4 times at 815 so we gave it up, but you can stay another hour and come for your lane at 10 at this point I say "well why didn't anyone tell me you call names at 815 to start bowling at 9? And why didn't you just tell me you would start calling names in 10 minutes? But once again the only response I got was "you can come for your lane at 10" Complete waste of my night one Saturday night I'll never get back read more

My family & I haven't bowled in many years. We wanted to do a family outing with some friends there. We showed up at 8:00pm to put our names in and got a lane for 9:00pm laser bowling. When we started it took awhile because we couldn't input the names and had to get a staff to help us reset it.Then our bumpers weren't turning on which in turn we didn't get to finish our game. I told the staff member the situation and they were kind enough to give us a whole other hour for the inconvenience. This is 100% how the customer service should be and we appreciated it!
