First time visiting this casino in twenty years. The casino floor is definitely dated, with old-school slot machines--unfortunately, MANY of which have no sound or are staticky. This last fact I found troubling, as you would think that a casino making thousands and thousands of dollars would provide all the necessities for its money makers. Personally, I love the sound of slot machines, and when they are basically silent, it is boring, a letdown, and gives me time to think about the money I am losing. The other issue is that, unlike just about every other single casino I have visited, the smoke from cigarette smokers is in the air throughout the entire casino. I came home smelling like a giant cigarette. I DO have to admit that, despite these challenges, the slot machines here were fairly loose, as I hit two jackpots of $1,000 and $900.00 within a span of 45 minutes. The casino offers guests a mix of fairly new games, but a huge chunk of the floor was dedicated to older games, as I previously mentioned. I observed armed security guards throughout my visit, which is always a good thing. While I was playing slot machines, a casino hostess (Helena Pham) approached me and introduced herself. Helena was awesome, friendly, and professional, and ended up comping me two dinner buffets ($35.00 + each). Thank you!! Totally unexpected encounter. The buffet at this casino was AMAZING!! It is a tad smaller than buffets at other casinos, but the food was DELICIOUS!! Seafood, Chinese food, Mexican food, Italian food, salad bar, dessert bar, etc. It was all a very positive dining experience. Overall, our visit to this casino was worth the hour-and-a-half drive here. The BAD part was that just as we were about to enter the freeway for the trip back home, we discovered that the westbound 10 freeway was completely shut down, and as a result, we were forced to take Highway 111, which took us through four or five large desert cities and added two hours to our trip back home, uggh!

MIDLAND!!! The drive to get here was 4 hrs long from San Fernando due to traffic but ultimately my crew and I got there safe and half the drive time on the way back to San Fernando. I took my sister in law along with my mother for this little adventure of mine. We first got our gaming cards and then hit the buffet . The service is really great, the food was amazing and the concert was awesome! I do wish Midland would've played more of the heartache songs. The drinks were well made and the dance floor was packed after the concert. BEWARE: THEY DO NOT OFFER PICKLE BACK SHOTS & NO DRINKS ON THE DANCE FLOOR, SECURITY DOESN'T PLAY! I burned all the calories away with dancing and singing the rest of the night. Such an amazing time and awesome memories made.

Dated casino with lots of broken machines and poor service. Good luck trying to flag down a slot attendant when the machine you want to play inevitably breaks down. You'd think a casino of this caliber, with a resort, theater, and multiple restaurants, would have things running a little more smoothly. For a place that takes in plenty of money from players, you'd think they could update their machines and hire enough staff to actually help customers. Between the outdated floor and the terrible payouts, it's just not worth the hassle. I'll be sticking to Spotlight 29 and Augustine from now on.

I've been coming here for years, and for a while, it was my go-to when visiting the area (I'm in Orange County, so it's an easy drive to the Palm Springs area when I want a casino fix). Sadly, that's no longer the case. I finally reached black card level, where I've been for a couple of years. It was nice. The only real perk I used was the parking pass so that I could park closer to the front, and of course, the shorter lines in places. Well, all that changed with their new players' club. Instead of carrying me over to a similar tier, they bounced me back to the newbie tier. Seriously? Granted, I'm not a high roller, but I've deposited more than a few hundred dollars into those machines and table games. And sometimes that's just one visit. So, I got my card, and about 20 minutes into my play, none of the machines would accept it. Now I've learned several tricks over the years to get the machine to read my player's card, but none of them worked. Back to the players club counter, now in the longer newbie line, to get a new card. While the new card worked better, I still found it challenging to get it read the first time I inserted it. I then sat down at a new machine I wanted to try, only to find cigarette ash on it. It's like whoever was there before didn't use an ashtray. As I was losing money, I realized that I've had a hand pay at every other casino in the area, except this one. Now I know how slots work: the odds are always in favor of the house, and it's 100% random, but that confirmation bias still doesn't give me warm fuzzies. I later went to another casino whose initials are AC and had no problems getting the machines to read my player's card. While I didn't win there either, the machines paid back enough to keep me playing longer, and that's all I ask for. Oh, and I had 100% of my food comped. I only had a $7 available credit at Fantasy Springs, which didn't even cover a slice of pizza and a drink. Oh, and the A/C in the high limit room doesn't work or is nonexistent. Similar to when the nonsmoking slots were in the back, which also had no air. It's Palm Springs! A/C should be a priority.

Staying at our timeshare in Indio, a friend gave us some recommendations. We started out at Rock Yard to see a cover band. Ended up at LIT on the twelfth. What a great spot! Although it was very windy, it overlooks the city. We ventured inside and found a place at the bar. The Steel Rod was the featured band and played quite a range of hits and took requests. There's a small space next to the stage to dance. Beware to get there before the cover band finishes. It gets packed out. We had such a good time Friday night, we did it all again Saturday night. Again, great vibes but there was a shift in the music and vibe, and even the crowd. We ended up leaving early for safety concerns. We would definitely try it again. The free parking and free cover band entertainment is reason enough to give it a try.

Fantasy Springs Resort Review - Fight Night Edition Checking into Fantasy Springs for the Golden Boy Production title fights felt like stepping into mini-Vegas... desert heat included. From my 11th-floor view of Coachella + the mountains to feeling like a ringside VIP, this trip had all the fight-night flair. Ringside seats had me wondering if I should start training to be a ring girl (hey, I held my water bottle like a champ ‍). Sweet Poison, Gabriella Fundaro, came out swinging with a solid fight that had the crowd hyped. The main event? Oscar Collazo was unstoppable. The trainer for his opponent called the fight early for safety, but let's be honest--there was no slowing down the Puerto Rican powerhouse. He had the energy of the energizer bunny and then some. After the adrenaline, the casino was buzzing but food options were down for the count--so pizza it was. The room was pretty standard, but that view was a knockout. Overall? Solid stay, killer fights, and just enough chaos to feel like a true VIP fight weekend.

My hubby and I have been coming to this casino since I moved to the desert in 2013. It's always been one of my favorites. He's won many hand pays but it's a hit or miss, that's why it's gambling. You gotta play to win. I don't know why the negativity from some of the other reviews. Yes it's not a Vegas five star casino but it's always a good time. I will say the main bar does need some upgrades buy I'm glad they kept it 21 and over unlike other casinos that are 18 and over. They have great restaurants, the hotel is a nice place to have a staycation and it's a Great place to gamble and have fun

Outside watching a free concert with my bestie ! A Stevie Ray Vaughan cover band amazing!!!

Great place to go see concerts. Their garden area to see bands is free and fun! We go every time we go to Palm Springs no matter where we are staying. Need to check it out!

Because it was the weekend of the Coachella music festival, the entire resort was full and it was extremely busy. Check in was quick and easy with friendly staff. Since it is a WorldMark location, we were offered the timeshare presentation (marketed as a "tour of the property"); we politely declined and they never bothered us again about it. The following items really annoyed me and I am not sure whether this is the norm or if it was because it was busy and the resort was full. - The resort DOES NOT provide additional towels. You can only replace dirty towels by calling housekeeping and trading your dirty towels for new ones. I have never seen a resort/hotel do this and did not like this practice. Just really annoying. - The resort does not offer housekeeping, even though we stayed for 4 nights! Our room was never cleaned as a result and we had to take the trash out ourselves. I even tried leaving the trash outside my door so that housekeeping can just grab it, but I found that it was just left there all day. Some other cons... - The AC does not work in the bedrooms. It is strong in the living rooms, but there is no air in the bedrooms for some reason. Being in the desert, it was sooo hot getting up to the high 90s outside. AC is necessary! - The food in the market/cafe is pretty mid... With WorldMark Indio being a large well-known resort in the area, I would expect the cafe food to be better. Pro though - I like that they have a market/cafe; definitely helpful to get a quick lunch in before heading to Coachella. - The security becomes very aggressive if you do not have their resort wristbands on. I accidentally left mine in the room on the first day and was almost not let back onto the property even though I could tell them my full name with ID... The best and really the only PRO I can tell you about is that there are shuttles here that take you to the festival! It is run by a private company called LF Festivals. It is very convenient and costs $145 per person. It is expensive but it was convenient and made it so that we had one less thing to think about. One thing they could work on though is the wait times. I waited over an hour sometimes to get onto a shuttle since the line was so long. Sometimes though there was no wait and I got onto a van immediately. Okay, I know I have a lot of negatives to say but it's a solid place to stay. I guess I just had high expectations because of the high price. Overall, nearly every staff I interacted with was very friendly and helpful and the front desk is quick to answer the phone when you need assistance with something. The room was clean and there is a microwave, fridge, freezer, and stove. Very convenient.

I've been to Coachella 3 times before and this year I went both weekends. I was here in the early 2000's before it became what it is now and I can tell you it's massive now. Before this year, the last time I was here was in 2013 and the stages were nowhere near as big and high tech as they are now. Favorite set this year was Nine Inch Noize at Sahara, Ceremony inside the Sonora tent, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. It's the best music festival in the world and worth the hefty price tag. Concert tickets are just about $100 plus dollars, so you're able to see so many artists for less than a standard L.A. venue ticket. HIghly recommend doing it once in your lifetime, but it is exhausting. Don't go back to work for a week after you attend all three days and book a spa day or a massage, the Monday after.

Don't get me wrong though, Justin Beiber was fun and he played our favorite song, "Beauty and a Beat." We got tier 2 tickets since tier 1 was sold out quick. Try to get these tickets during presale to avoid purchasing resale price which is totally not worth. Also make sure to book hotels/airbnb asap because pricing may increase depending on the lineup and demand! Early the cheaper, I guess. This year was amazing because they were lots of good artists like Bigbang, Subtronics, Isaiah Rashad, JB, Swae Lee, Central Cee, Foster the People and etc. I heard camping was a cool experience but I hate waiting in line for showers and I also heard that some camps got blown away by the dust storm. Mask up! My favorite stage is probably the Dolab stage because it's such a vibe and good for aesthetic pictures. The Sahara is also nice because of the lights and lasers. Food there is all overpriced. I paid like $60 for like two pizzas and a drink. Hungry though so you gotta do what you gotta do, lol. This year Coachella did a collab with Gap and they had an area where you are able to make your own custom hoodie with unique patches! I missed out on it because the line was outrageous!
