First time coming to the nail salon, loved that they were able to squeeze me in today. I wanted a regular manicure and pedicure, very happy with the outcome. Lots of colors of nail polish to pick from and it seem the place has been remodel. Is bright and a nice space, about 8 massage chairs and nail sections. Extreamly clean and does not have any chemical smell when you walk in. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, no free parking, is street parking. Lots of cute stores near by to shop at. read more

Had my first appointment here today, and Ada did a phenomenal job with my acrylic fill. I've been looking for a new nail shop, after the nail tech I went to previously relocated (she was the only tech at the salon). I tried another place, but wasn't quite happy. Ada was efficient with her time, very detail oriented, and delivered a great manicure. Other salons have taken near 1 hr 30 min to achieve what she was able to do in just 40 minutes. I asked if it was possible for me to get a gel manicure in 45 minutes. I wish she would have been honest and said no. My manicurist was very nice but she rushed through my manicure, even cutting my finger once. She apologized and I told her it was ok but she made me wince more than once during the whole experience. While chipping my old polish off my nails, she would frequently scrape upward, against the grain of my natural nail. I had to tell her to stop doing it. She filed my nail along the side so intensely that I had to draw my hand back a few times. The result was a manicure that should have had another coat of polish and a bleeding finger. After I left, I immediately noticed how fragile my nails felt (when you get a gel manicure, it's standard for them to file the surface of your natural nail a little to give the polish something to stick to. The gel is supposed to be strong enough to compensate for the loss of strength of your real nail.) my nails felt paper thin, which was pretty uncomfortable and anxiety inducing. Sure enough, a few days ago, my nail bent backwards and for days, my whole finger tip was very painful. I debated writing this review because, like I said, my manicurist was very nice and apologetic, but if it were me looking for a new nail salon, I'd want to know about this experience. I won't be returning to this salon and I'm honestly dreading going for another gel manicure anywhere else after this. read more

The girl who did my eyebrows was very sweet, and the cost was a very affordable (& unexpected) $8. I usually only write reviews after I have visited a place a couple times, so here are my thoughts! This place is all you could ask for in a nail salon. It is clean, and they give you a water bottle which is a nice touch. The man(Henry I believe his name is) is amazing at doing my permanent French nails! A new set is $60, fill ins $25 can't complain! I used to get gel manicures at other salons but I noticed the white would get black cracks, or dots, I would break a nail easily, it would peel, etc. but the permanent French uses the acrylic powder and white powder. I don't get tips on!!!!! No tips cost a little extra because it requires more work, but it looks so natural, clean, and fresh! It last! And being a active swimmer and swim instructor I needed something durable! read more

Got my nails done here a week ago with the SNS polish. The woman who did them was very nice but she filed my nails VERY short. My nails were already short and I've been trying to grow them out but she filed them down so much it HURT. She also did not apply the SNS powder all the way up to my cuticle so now after only 1 week they need to be redone. There was also a man there, Henry, who was being incredibly rude to his employees and another customer who asked for French tips but he told her that her nails were too short... pretty sure you can get whatever you want as long as your paying??? This is the closest nail salon to me but I will just suck it up and travel further to receive better service. I do not blame the woman who was doing my nails at all. She seemed like she was just suffering in that job from that Henry man being so rude to her and literally slamming and stomping around. read more

I used to go here for a few years and would get acrylics from Henry until the day he called me fat and said I was gaining weight, after that I left and said I was never going to go back again. After a few years I moved and it became walking distance for me so I decided to give it another shot, went a couple times and had the women who were great, today they made me have Henry again, when he started giving me a massage he told me I need a gym and when I asked why he started jiggling my arm fat, then continued to say that I should start walking for 30 min each day and asked me if I was lazy. This is so rude and disrespectful, even if I was overweight you should never say that to someone or especially jiggle their fat. I will never return to this place and I highly encourage people to not give them their business and time and money. read more

In my travels around Dobbs Ferry, I came across this salon. I went in for a manicure and was instantly helped. The service that I received was pretty top notch especially when I noticed that after two coats of nail polish you could still see streaks on my nails causing the nail tech to ask if I wanted a third coat...yes! Her attention to detail was truly appreciated- not all places worry about that sort of stuff. Afterwards, I was given a phenomenal neck massage that was far too short. The only downside to my visit was that construction was going on in the location next door. The constant slamming, hammering, and drilling was a tad distracting, but I certainly didn't hold it against them. Super affordable and very clean nail salon. read more

I've been to this salon numerous times since I moved to the area and previously recommended it to my friends. Unfortunately, I will no longer use their services and can no longer recommend them. I always get the gel/shellac manicure. The last 3 times I've been I feel like they really don't care about the job they do. It's more about the quantity of people they Can get in and out as opposed to the quality of their work. They always seem in a very big rush to get you in and out of a seat - from picking your nail color to the actual manicure itself. I've had gel manicures at numerous other salons outside of NY and I know how it's supposed to be applied and removed from nails. The top layer is supposed to be filed away and then the nail should be allowed to soak in polish remover for at least 15-20 min before it is able to be gently peeled away. The last 3-4 times I've had my nails done with them they only allow my nails to soak for 3-5 minutes before trying to scrape the polish away and then they act upset that it's not coming off smoothly. I've tried telling them before they try to do this that my nails have not soaked long enough and they never seem to care. They take the fools off and just start scraping. After the scraping is unsuccessful they wrap them again for 2 minutes before again trying to scrape them and again it's never enough time for them to soak. They seem frustrated again and then use a file to file the nail polish off. My last visit with them was about 3 weeks ago and I had enough. In trying to file the polish off they also filed the majority of my actual nail - not the ends of my nail, the actual nail bed!. 2 of my nail beds are so sore because there is very little nail protection after what they did. The remainder of my nails are all super thin and have since cracked and broke despite having the gel polish which usually keeps them strong. They look awful and feel awful. The picture I've attached is of one of my pinky nails. I know it's probably hard to see but I there's a little bit of gel remaining and I can't have the gel completely removed from this nail as right under it the nail is so thin that I think the polish is the only way I can keep that area from splitting open. It's difficult to come across in the first picture, but around the bit of polish that's left, there is a pink ring and then a white rim. The pink ring is my skin thru the nailbed. It's so pink cause there is very little nail protecting it. The other two pictures just have clear nail polish but you can still see the pink from the middle of my nail going out to the end - again, this is more pink because the nail overlying it is so thin from the filing they did. It's grown out over the last 3 weeks and that's why it starts in the middle but this was my whole nail when they finished with my manicure. And my nails are still SUPER sensitive. I honestly feel that if they had more patience and took the time to do the job correctly that they would be a good salon but I am really upset with how damaged my nails have become. I wish I would have said something to them in person that day but I'm never comfortable lecturing people in public. I even debated about posting this review over the last few weeks but it's been bothering me so much that I really feel people should know. If you are looking to get gel nails done ask about how they remove the products. No one should be filing it completely off. If they start to do this, speak up for yourself and tell them you would prefer they not do that. Save your nails! read more

The staff, especially Sally, were ridiculously rude to my friend and I when we came in for manicures and pedicures. They acted like we were putting them out by having to do our nails. I had remnants of powder dip on my nails. I asked not to have it soaked off, but to just cut my long nails short and clip off the already very loose dip. I was never informed I was going to be charged an additional $4.00 for this. I also don't like when one person does my manicure and another does my pedicure. Stop vying for additional tips by doing this. Perhaps if you're a "regular" the service deserves more than one star, but I'll never go back there so I won't know if my theory is correct. read more

I used to love this place. I always called ahead for Henry, he's specific and knows exactly what I like. I moved to FL & was back in town and scheduled an appointment with Sally, she made it clear she knew the way I always got my nails done. Not only did I over tip before the whole service was done she still rushed me, did a horrible job on my acrylic, messy paint job. I politely corrected her and she said she wasn't done yet. She also yelled at my friend who I brought for a new set as well. She was more concerned with the older women of DF, which I understand bc I'm not a consistent customer anymore: but I definitely won't be back and won't be referring anyone here. read more
