I used to go here with my mother when i was young but just started going again as an adult. I have been going here steadily for the last four sets of acrylics and I have left happy EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Which genuinely says a lot because I AM PICKY. I have had my nails done by both Sang and Anne (she did this set) and I'm saying that I don't think I could go anywhere else. Tried a new place for my honeymoon as I didn't plan ahead for an appointment where i usually go. My nails were a wreck only 2 days after! I paid $75 (more than I normally pay) and ended up having them redone for an additional $65 where I normally go. This was my first time at fantasy nails and I was a walk in. I was greeted right away, and I told them I wanted shellac but with no mani. So he told me to pick my color and I did. I waited less than 15 minutes for them to help me, and the waiting area is very nice. It is very well decorated in here! My nail tech was a girl named Kelly, she was very nice and easy going. It was a total of $20 for my gel nails which is a very decent price. However, after about an hour I noticed one of my nails seemed to have smudged a bit before the gel cured so it looked like it was peeling. I called the salon asking if I could go in and get it fixed. They had great customer service, fixed my nail with a great smile, and had me out in less than 20 minutes. I'm not from the Ankeny area, but I will make sure to visit again when I am in town. I am very satisfied! I left with a smile on my face and that has never happened to me out of all nail salons I've tried. read more

Let's just say this has been the worst nail experience I've ever had. The young lady that did my pedicure used nail polish that would not dry. And when I realized it 3 hours later, my toes looked terrible. I called and they were not accommodating The owner said they were going to close at 3 pm (I left the salon at 12:46) and are not open Sundays. She had to redo my toes twice. They let me walk out with wet nails that did not look right. I had to go get them redone somewhere else. I would not recommend this place at all. I'm new to the area and went here based on other reviews, but I was disappointed. I called and made an appointment for a mani pedi and the guy I spoke to was very kind, but the girl that ended up doing my pedicure just wasn't great. Her hair wasn't tied back and messed up my polish, she didn't get the dry skin from around my toes nails or heels and didn't really give a massage. I upgraded to Spa Pedi for hot stone and towels but the stones were lukewarm at best and one of the towels had all kinds of polish wiped on in - usually they're clean, white towels and very hot! She was unusually slow too, and normally I wouldn't complain but since it wasn't the most relaxing (no one wants a halfway massage or polish with hair lines!) I just wanted to be done. Another lady eventually came by and took over, and she ended up doing my manicure too. I can't remember her name but she was amazing and very accommodating! read more

I went to Fantasy Nails for the first time and found making an appointment was easy and quick; however, the tech working on my nails made me uncomfortable a couple of times by making rude snarky remarks during my appointment. People always rave about getting mani/pedis, but my experiences have never lived up to my expectations...until I went to Fantasy Nails. I walked in and they set me up immediately with Lee. She was professional and extremely friendly. The shop is clean and modern. The massage chair was wonderful. Lee took her time, she didn't rush. She even knew the color I chose wasn't going on the way I thought it would and she offered to restart with a new color selection. I am so pleased and will come back again and again. read more

Love this place! Cleanest nail salon in Ankeny! The staff is super friendly and does a great job keeping the environment fun and relaxing. They have a good selection of colors to choose from in both polish and gel. All of their tools are cleaned prior to use and the files are only used once then tossed so you don't have other people's germs on your feet. They are always sweeping the floors and cleaning the tubs to make sure it's safe. The decorations are gorgeous and they have two TVs to watch while you get pampered. I highly recommend you make an appointment as they are very popular and can book up fast. There's convenient parking in the front and back of the shopping center and it's easy to get in and out of. read more

So glad I found this salon-- all new and clean, they really listen to what you want. I got an acrylic fill with shellac and a shellac pedicure and both were great! I walked in to have my nails done, but made an appointment for my pedicure two days later. Both experiences were great, but moving forward I will make appointments just for convenience. I have never received such a horrible manicure. I get my nails done fairly regularly. I never get gel and yet the nail polish usually stays on (for the most part) for at least a week if not more. When I got my nails done at Fantasy Nails, it was the day before graduation. During my manicure, the manicurist realized the nail polish was low and went and added water to it. The next day at graduation, one of my nails had the nail polish chipped halfway down my nail. I didn't think too much of it because things happen, even though I had not been using my hands at all, so I wasn't sure how that happened so easily. By the next day (2 days after the manicure), 6 of my nails had chipped half of nail. Six nails in 2 days! I was very disappointed with this, so I called the salon to explain to them that I was upset about this situation. The manager told me that if I want to then I can sue them and then hung up on me. Worst manicure and worst customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be returning. read more
