Extremely disappointing experience at AMC Rockville Centre…read more When we arrived for our movie, we were informed that the air conditioning was not working. The theater was incredibly hot, humid, musty, and had an unpleasant odor. Without exaggeration, it felt close to 90 degrees inside the auditorium. It made it very difficult to enjoy the movie. The employees told us the A/C had been down for days, which raises the biggest issue I have with this experience: why weren't guests notified before arriving? We purchased our tickets in advance, planned our day around this movie, and traveled to the theater only to find out our only options were to either sit through the movie in unbearable conditions or leave and try to rebook for another day. Unfortunately, there were no comparable showtimes available for several days. I do want to recognize the staff. They remained professional and courteous despite working in unacceptable conditions. They were visibly sweating throughout their shifts with only a small fan to cool them off. No employee should be expected to work like that, and they deserve recognition for maintaining such a positive attitude. This situation reflects poorly on AMC. A known issue that had existed for several days should have been communicated to customers before they arrived. A simple email, text, or app notification would have allowed guests to make an informed decision instead of wasting their time and making the trip for an experience that was far below expectations. This was a poor representation of the AMC brand, and because of how this situation was handled, I will be reconsidering whether to continue choosing AMC for future movie outings.

I found these guys on Gig Master and really lucked out. https://www.gigmasters.com/brass-band/street-beat Jeff and the Street Beat Brass Band created the most memorable and joyous experience for our wedding party, guests, locals and tourists as they escorted us across the bridge and played for another hour at the wedding reception during cocktail hour. Jeff and his band were super-accommodating, discussing with us exactly what we wanted all within our budget. Moreover, having the Street Beat Brass Band as part of our celebration was, to us, what makes this great city of ours so unique and special--the delight on the faces of our wedding party, the NYPD, the Mr. Softee Ice Cream truck guy and all the people we encountered along the route over the bridge, in Dumbo and on the F and R train surpassed our expectations. Book these guys if you want to surprise and delight your guests at your next event and want to create a lasting impression.

It completely mesmerized me and I promised myself one day I would own my own Fazzino! Fast forward to 2024, moving to a new home, with a lot of wall space, I was destined to make my dream a reality! I researched galleries that carry Charles Fazzino art, discovered Central Galleries and my obsession began! I was greeted right away by Jeff Beja, the owner of the gallery and learned that Central Galleries carries an extensive collection of Fazzino's work! Every two years, they host a reception where you can meet Charles Fazzino and his daughter Heather, whose work can also be found at the gallery! They will personally autograph the back of any piece you already own or purchase that day with an original doodle! In 2024, I purchased my first 2 Fazzino pieces from Central Galleries. The gallery carries art from numerous other artists and have over 30 years experience in custom framing. Other services offered are appraisals, custom mirrors, art restoration and piicture hanging, Why wait 2 years to write my review of Central Galleries? December 6, 2025 was an experience of a lifetime for me. I attended the reception at the gallery and met Charles Fazzino and his daughter. It was thrilling to talk with and shake the hand of a man I have admired for decades, the most humble person and so incredibly gifted! I also became the proud owner of my 9th and 10th Fazzino pieces so my desire to own only one Fazzino actually turned into a collection. The gallery carries original pieces, sculptures and limited 3D editions! I cannot rave enough about Central Galleries! It is a family run business and they are all so incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the artists whose work they carry and the services they offer! Every piece you purchase is already professionally framed! If there is a piece you are interested in that they do not carry, they will try to find it and will work with you to design the mat and frame that will showcase and enhance its beauty! If you are not familiar with the work of Charles or Heather Fazzino, a visit to Central Galleries is a must! I promise you will not leave empty handed!

I hired Happy Little Brush Strokes as a painting activity for a bachelorette party, and the company was so easy to work with from start to finish. I reserved my date several months in advance because their calendar fills up quickly! You're able to choose one of the paintings from their website and adapt it to what you need. I chose to paint full-sized wine bottles (and place fairy lights inside of the bottle so it lights up!) since the bachelorette party was "wine themed." The price was $30 per person for the experience. I believe if you choose to paint a canvas, it's $25 per person. Happy Little Brush Strokes came all the way out to Greenport, Long Island to do this activity. The instructor, Bob, was an absolute delight, who was filled with so much positive energy! He provided everything we needed for the event (paint, brushes, water cups, the wine bottles, fairy lights). The only thing we needed to provide were tables, table cloths, and chairs for our group of 7. The experience took just over two hours, and everyone had an amazing time!

Unknowing families (generally young) are then legally responsible for pre-embedded town-code violations. Every so often, the village sends the new owners letters: "It has come to our attention that. . ." A year or two passes. Then another threatening letter: "It has come to our attention that ..." Property tax is raised with each repair not to mention possible fines.
