I can't say enough good things about Fariba and her staff! I bought a sample wedding dress, which required some extensive alterations due to the delicate lace fabric, as well as due to the overall fit (it needed to be hemmed, the waist shortened, the lace sleeves taken in, the armpits/bust taken in, bustles placed, etc.). And all of this had to be done in about a 3-month timeframe! Fariba and her staff worked so hard to ensure that my dress was perfect for my wedding and it absolutely was! Also, when I became a little stressed about the alterations and the short timeframe, they were all so reassuring and calm, which allowed me to trust them and their expertise. In addition, everyone is so friendly and warm that I thoroughly enjoyed going in for all of my fittings! They also did some minor alterations on my wedding after party dress, which made it fit like a glove. I had my wedding gown altered here, as well as a bridesmaid dress (most recently). They do a phenomenal job with the alterations! The shop is very nice, clean, and modern. They listen to any concerns you have or problem areas with the dress. My wedding gown was satin very fitted in some places. The way they were able to tailor it to my body exactly was beyond what I could have expected. It fit perfectly and was flawless. The bustle was very intricate (15 or so bustles) but it was well worth it in the way the dress hung for the reception. They really know what they are doing and make you feel like you are their most important customer. The bridesmaid dress was delicate, but they were able to alter without any problems. I thought the prices very reasonable too, after having it priced at another shop (while I was there to get another piece tailored). Great experience at Fariba's! I bought a sample lace wedding dress that was at least three sizes too big. In addition to drastic resizing, I also requested shorter sleeves, built-in bra cups, a sweetheart bust line created, jewels added to the neckline, and the back lowered into a V shape. Fariba and her staff were able to alter the dress exactly how I wanted and to my Mom's satisfaction. They also offered some ideas and expert advice for alteration ideas, like adding ribs for bust support and raising the hem from the waistline. They were pretty much able to create a new dress...of my dreams! The shop is clean, the ladies are so kind, and Fariba is very accommodating. She also created my blusher, sewed it to my veil, and steamed my dress. Her estimates are detailed and do not change upon completion; I had four fittings. I was referred to Fariba's by several friends and was instantly impressed! Fariba and everyone there made me feel welcome and 100% comfortable. They were always flexible with appointments and scheduling with me. The alterations were superb and she knew what she was doing. She gave recommendations at each fitting and they were perfect. Picked my dress up the week of my wedding and it fit like a glove. You can't sacrifice quality for cost. She isn't the cheapest in town for wedding gown alterations, but I knew I was getting a fair and supreme quality of service. They even cleaned and stored my gown after the wedding and were better priced than local dry cleaners for wedding preservation. Fariba was so easy to work with and the pricing was really reasonable. She was able to significantly alter the size of my dress, change the zipper to a corset back, and adjust the fit of the bodice perfectly with only 2 fittings. And at the last minute, just days before my wedding, I decided I wanted cap sleeves added to my strapless dress. I was worried she was going to think I was crazy to ask for that change at the last minute but she didn't even bat an eye and was able to do exactly what I'd wanted, even finding the perfectly matching organza fabric, without me even knowing how to explain what I wanted. Fairba altered my wedding gown for my May 2016 wedding. Her shop is fabulous and they always had my gown ready and waiting for me. I had three fittings and they were very efficient on the time needed to make changes.
