Farinacci's is old-school pizza and that's a good thing. Had a 12 cut family size sausage and it's a real treat. They form the homemade sausage into inch-diameter pieces and you don't get cheated. The sauce is pleasant, not overpowering, and the crust is delicious. The Brecksville location has naughahyde booths and the dining room was busy last Saturday night. Super friendly staff. This was my first time ordering from Farinacci's pizza and I would definitely not recommend coming here. When I called in, I asked the girl who answered the phone how big a small pizza was and if it was enough for two people, she told me that it could be six pieces and that it was enough for two people. I ordered this and a salad. When I came to pick it up, it was clear that the pizza was the size of a personal pan pizza, not nearly large enough for two people. At this point, it was too late to change my order or get a larger pizza. When I went to pay, they did not accept card and only took cash or check. Luckily, I had cash on me, but they should let people know that when they take the order. One small personalized pizza and a double salad was nearly $29. I walked out of there shocked that I've just spent almost $30 on a meal for basically one person. I'm on my way home now and I'm trying to figure out what I will supplement this meal with since there really isn't enough food for two people. I've been going to this place for over 40 years! I love that the decor hasn't changed! There's still an actual jukebox! This is right down the street from my Jr.High. Hello, I just had to write and leave a post about Farinacci Pizza. Try it. It's great. Done!!!!! New owners now, but still the same great pizza, just like it was back in the late 70's. Yah, a long time I know. I stop in every time I'm even close or in the area. I live on the west side now but still have great memories of eating here on Friday nights back in the day. The traffic around the place is worse, but hey, that's progress (I think). My favorite topping is Sausage (along with Pepperoni and/or Mushrooms) and they still use the real stuff. Not anything like all those chains are using; those crumbled up pieces of sausage that looks more like the stuff you'd clean out of a rabbit cage. Keep up the good work. Happy New Year 2024. I loved the pizza but it seemed a bit small for an extra large. My boyfriend also thought it was salty, I like salt so it was great for me! The sausage was pretty great too, sometimes pizza places do not have the best sausage. The salad only fed 3 people. The dressing was really good! I needed a bit more than that cup. The cheese on it was really fresh and soft too, as if it was just grated. It didn't really have enough lettuce though. They are also cash only. The interior is a timeless display of vintage appeal, with a moderate sized dining section consisting of booths and tables. In the mood for some oldies, the jukebox has a variety of hits from the 60s and 70s. On one particular night, I decided to call in and place a carryout order. I ordered a small plain pie and it was ready in approximately 20 minutes. The cheese and sauce were evenly balanced and the crust was crispy, yet not soaked in grease. Would give 10 stars if I could. I regularly order from there, and their salads are beyond amazing. The dressing is so good, I always order extra dressing, and the pizza is delicious and is full of flavor. It isn't like all the others out there that use canned sauce and frozen dough; everything is fresh there. The staff are personable and great. There's a lot to unpack here. I recently moved to the South-East side of Cleveland & my bf & I have been trying pizza in the area. For the past year all I've ever heard is that "Farinacci's is the best pizza on the east side." I don't know if my expectations are too high or what but honestly.... I personally didn't think it was special. It was a pretty average pizza. I got a plain cheese to truly address the quality on a basic pizza & I wasn't blown away. I've had much better pizza over the years for the same price - Angelo's & Bar Cento. Also a large is really only enough for 1.5 people. They had a bad night at Farinacci. We waited for an hour for our pizza while dining in. I knew they were busy. When I went up to the counter to check the status.... They said they lost the order slip. We were the only ones in the restaurant. They offered for us to wait another 25 min for a free pizza. I declined and won't be back. We ordered and picked up a pizza a couple of days ago. There was a sign on the door of this restaurant that stated "some employees cannot weark masks due to health reasons and don't come in if you don't want to" ALSO there was a sign saying the health department APPROVED them. My husband did go in figuring there may be 1 person. THERE WAS NOT ONE EMPLOYEE wearing a mask that ranged from 20 years old to 40 years old. What made up health conditions did they ALL have?? Did they buy off someone at the health board? Even asthma is NOT a legitimate excuse for not wearing. I have asthma and my doctor told me TO WEAR it for my protection! I am fine with it as are MANY people I know. They all have COPD at ages 20 -40!! This is not acdeptable and to say the least I wont be going back. read more

After reading some of the reviews, I've realized a lot. Some people grew up in the area and love what Farinacci's has to offer. Those hometown sweethearts may be attached to the joy Farinacci's brings them and they might find it a local hotspot. Here's my two cents: It's a family owned business and it's huge among locals. I don't know how long that's going to be "in" but they're doing pretty good. The pizza is delicious. I grew up in the Northfield area. My family used to come here every Friday when I was a kid, and even as I grew older, we would still get pizza from here at least once a month. I love the pizza here. The dough and sauce is the best part. Would I drive out of the way for it though? Not at all. If you live in the area, you have to give it a shot. I recommend getting it to-go. However, it's pizza. Yes, this place is cash only. Yes, they don't deliver. Yes, they have weird hours. Yes, the inside looks outdated and old fashioned. However, they have great pizza and good service. This generation is too obsessed with fast casual hipster places and they discredit every single place that is either family owned, old-fashioned, ma and pa, rooted in another culture/language, etc. Not every place you eat at is going to be that cool Coffee shop with gluten free pastries in Ohio City. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE EVER! This restaurant was founded in the early 70s back when my parents were teenagers. It pretty much was your typical high school pizza place hangout where everyone went before games, dances, parties, etc. I don't even think the decor has changed since it was opened. The pizza is just phenomenal. It is a thinner crust, but not super thin like the Chicago style which, by the way, I do not care for. There is a perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and whatever toppings. One of the best things about the pizza though -- the grease! It is super greasy, so if you are planning on dabbling your pizza, you might need a whole roll of paper towels! The waitstaff is nothing but friendly (the head waitress is my chlidhood babysitter). The place is usually crowded once it hits 7PM, whether it's families, friends, high school students, what have you. It is truly a neighborhood pizza place. Even though my family lives 25 minutes south of Northfield, we still pick up 2 sheet pizzas every weekend for dinner. Farinacci's doesn't deliver, and considering there are hundreds of pizza places in our town alone, that is something to say. It really is THAT GOOD. Whenever I am in town, or have friends in, I always make sure to stop and grab some pizza. So if you are ever in NE Ohio, I highly suggest doing the same. read more

Ordered 2 pizzas and 2 salads yesterday since my parents were coming over. Pizza was very high quality and tasted great. All in all 2 pizzas and 2 salads fed 4 people with just a little to spare. I'd recommend Farinacci to anyone locally! Only downside is no delivery, but you sacrifice certain things for quality. I stopped by for a pizza last night after work. It was my first time that I actually set foot in the place and I liked it. It is good to see the usage of the ferris wheel style ovens. The place was packed to the gills. Farinacci is one of my favorite pizza places in Cleveland. I recommend going there sometime if you are in the area hiking or what not at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The leftovers taste just as good, if not better the second time around. read more
