Beef tacos were excellent. One of the best tacos I've had. The atmosphere is nice also.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch on Saturday because the weather was beautiful and we know the food is always great. We were not disappointed. I recommend sitting outside at the picnic tables. Oh, man. We didn't know what to expect on our trip back from Oneonta, but this place, located RIGHT off of the highway, spanned 2 acres(?) and was filled with people, picnic tables, dogs, games, and the most beautiful, HUGE, pole barn. Ambience was unbeatable for a brewpub. The system for ordering was genius and efficient. We received our food lickety split, and it was quite enjoyable. I had the fried chicken sandwich...pretty tasty. I would, however, exchange the ciabatta with something a little less dense and the bread and butter pickles with dill. Hubby's quesadilla was scrumptious and spicy! Our bartender gave us some insights into the expansion of the restaurant across the state. I heard of Beer Tree for a little while. It was time to try a beer of theirs! And wow was I impressed! I had Beer Tree's Morning Timber. This beer comes in a couple different variations and the one we had was the vanilla stout. A coffee stout with a generous vanilla flavor made this stout oh so very smooth and was really, really enjoyable after a day in which Steve and I really needed to unwind. Fun atmosphere. They have live music. During the summer, eat outside and play some corn hole while you listen to music. They have some games you can grab and play at your table, like connect 4. Sometimes the wait for food can be long, like an hour from ordering til brought to the table. And they need to figure out their bathroom situation. More than once their water has stopped working in the bathroom. Toilets don't flush, no water to wash hands. It's concerning as you wonder what the kitchen staff is doing for water to wash their hands... Overall a good place. It will be better when that is figured out! read more

Loved the ambiance, food (huge 'small' nachos) was delicious, beer was great! Inside and outside seating. Food came out at a reasonable time during a busy time. My only thing would be that they said you could order on a QR code at your outside table and there wasn't one. And, when I asked someone, they said I could find it at the outside 'order' area and there wasn't one. But, as long as we took turns to go inside and order, it was ok. This was my second visit to this location. I live about an hour away so I typically only stop by when I'm traveling through the Binghamton area. The location was quite busy on a Sunday afternoon, but there was more than enough indoor seating available and plenty of seating outside. I tried the Endless Weekend and Raspberry Jammin' beers -- I preferred the Endless Weekend as I prefer wheat beers. There were a variety of sours, IPAs, and other beers on the tap list when I visited. I was visiting shortly after lunch time on a Sunday, so I ordered food. The quesadilla arrived quickly and paired nicely with the beer. Beer Tree also sells beer to go and I purchased a four pack of beer to take home. It's definitely worth a repeat visit! read more

I've got to shout out the first sentence of this review......THEY'VE GOT EXCELLENT VEGAN OPTIONS! A rare find around these parts of Broome County! Even vegan cheese..... I had the jackfruit quesadillas with vegan cheese substitute and had to have a family member inspect them to see if the order was incorrect. Two big taprooms (only the main one was open during our visit). Nice, comfortable space. Good selections beers (I had a flight, then a regular one.). All tasty. The Mosaic Sunset was properly hazy, and a little fruity. Good stuff. Tried the beef on weck, also delicious. Service was quick and friendly. I give this a great because I am comparing this place against other micro-breweries. What it is not - don't expect a 5-star quality meal. The food is good, above average even, but it's not a destination dinner place. I don't think it advertises itself like this but when driving by you may get fooled. But, if you want beer and a really cool place to go, and you don't mind a limited menu that has a little something for everyone, then this place is exceptional. The Beer, top-notch. No Seriously it is VERY GOOD, I didn't see any awards on the walls, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but it is Award-winning quality! On my way home from the Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony I stopped bye Beer Tree for food and two beers. Place was very busy. There was a seat at the bar so I took it and ordered a blueberry sour which was AMAZING! I ordered tacos which took a while probably because it was busy. (Also, there was a sign posted about hiring for kitchen help). The server was able to check on my food and was able to switch it to takeout. She was very helpful. Next spring I'll be heading back to Cooperstown for a trip and will definitely stop bye again. read more

Stopped at the beer tree on a Sunday afternoon around 4 and had a great time. The brewery is really beautiful, the woodwork in the tasting room is really insane, there are pegs keeping the beams together, it's very cool to look at. We walked right in and took two seats at the bar, which is rectangular shaped. We were a little confused because after sitting for a while we noticed a long line of about 20 people standing at the entrance placing orders with one of the bartenders so we don't know if we bypassed this line, or if we were supposed to wait in the line to get a seat at the bar and a beer or what the deal was, nevertheless we didn't wait and walked straight to the bar and were served immediately. Their beer menu sounds delicious. I am not a beer girl, I get so full after drinking craft beer and it's not how I like to feel during the summer but sometimes I can't pass it up and so I went with a recommendation from the bartender, which was their Leaf, a saison that was awesome. I loved it and wanted to try more but I stuck with one. They had the funniest names for their beers too. Unlike a lot of breweries I go to, they had other drink options, wine and wine slushies, which I appreciated. Their wines were from the Finger Lakes, which was also cool. I think breweries are so much fun but for people who don't like beer or for those who can't drink beer, I think it's really nice when a brewery decides to consider that demographic and put other options on their menu so thanks for that. Also, their wine slushies didn't have any sugar added, it was just a slushy wine and that was great too. They had a food truck posted up at the brewery, it was the Fox & Farmer truck and they had food like various tacos; chicken, veggie, and pork, served on corn tortillas, quesadillas, French fries, chips and salsa, this INSANE pork belly peanut butter and jelly taco (like what genius came up with this) Seriously picture this going into your mouth; roasted pork belly, tomato jam, garlic roasted peanuts, pickled jalapeños and cilantro on a tortillas. Get Guy Fieri over to this truck ASAP. Anyways, there are a lot of gluten free options here, fantastic. I think having a food truck here is a great idea. A lot of times brewery food can be EH because their highlight is the beer but having a food truck that specializes in FOOD, just a great idea all around. Their outdoor space was nice, they had an outdoor bar, pretty stringing lights (which would be beautiful at night, which is why I was surprised they closed so early) they had some lawn games, lots of picnic table space, etc. People were hanging around, enjoying life, it was a very casual fun atmosphere. The stools at the outdoor bar though, I will say were not comfortable at all. They were kind of small and it was difficult to sit on them. There was SO much lawn space here too, they could expand the outdoor space if they wanted to or have concerts here, there were a lot of possibilities. Really disappointed. There is no "service". You find a table then you go up to the counter and order your food then they deliver it. I could live with that if the food was good but it wasn't. The selections are limited. I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap and it was tasteless. There is no salt or pepper to be found so I had to go back to where I ordered my food and request some. The beers were good and the abundance of seating both indoor and outdoor were even better. Lots of room for dogs or kids to run/play. The food truck was just ok... We took our family here for Sunday brunch. The food truck outside is really god, Fox and Farmer. I didn't drink any of the beers so I can't comment on them. We did order sodas and coffee. Waters are self serve which is great for the kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The building is first class. All wood, clean and spacious. They did it right. You feel at home and the environment makes the atmosphere really comfortable. All the staff was great and this place is going to do awesome. The beef taco was on the dry side and the pork taco had a weird taste to it - it didn't quite hit the Vietnamese / banh mi flavor they were aiming for. Awesome spot to sit outside and have a nice brew. It has nice open interior space with lots of seating and a nice warming woodsy vibe. The outdoor patio is great as well and there is a big grass field and a lake behind the brewery you can walk to which is great. The beer selection is ok, lots of IPAs and pale ales and not much darker beers. They are good but nothing out of the ordinary. They usually have about 8 or 9 beers at any single time. They also have a food truck called fox and farmer that I highly recommend. Overall highly recommend for the vibe especially in the nice weather but the beer selection leaves more to be desired. read more

OhMyGosh this place is awesome sauce. It's literally the type of brewery that you see on TV series about awesome local places. They even have wine slushies made from NY state wine. Five stars for beers, service, atmosphere, kid friendly, cleanliness, view, spacious, dog friendly. My only complaint, ONLY complaint, is the food is waaaaay too spicy, resulting in lack of flavour. I first tried Beer Tree beers at a beer festival and really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, they don't distribute to where I live. The only time I would get to drink them was during events or beer shares with friends. Well one weekend we finally decided to trek out to Beer Tree. Really like the atmosphere, the staff were friendly and helpful, and then have a what seems to be permanent food truck on site. Beers were great and they had a nice variety. I'm partial to their IPAs and stouts, but they had a few of the sours on tap as well and those were also quite good. Hoping they start to expand production and distribute a bit further, because I need Beer Tree more often! read more

I used to like beer tree, however, the beers they brew now are not to my liking. NEIPA is all they do for IPAs and that is not okay for me. Also, they are too fruity, maybe to appeal to women but it's just too sweet and many are unbalanced in regard to hoppiness. I am not going there anymore. read more

The Peel (not on the flight) in my opinion is their best offering, but I'm sure they'll figure it out. The place seems large enough to have an honest to god kitchen. Instead, you have to go outside and order your costly but miniscule portion bar fare from a food trailer. There's a time & a place for food trailers, but this seems like the wrong one. You're given a number, and when your repast is ready, a server brings it inside for you. No wait staff when I've been there. Everything has to be ordered on your feet. You also have to go to the bar for your drinks. The seating is mostly a communal situation, with strangers on all sides unless you bring your own crowd. Actually, if you're under 30 it's just what you're looking for. One usually has to wade through people standing around, though tables are open, to get food & drinks. Port Crane needs Beer Tree or a similar cafe/bar/club. The other eatery in town is an option, but not really. Beer Tree is clean, the food is platable, the beers are well...beers. Beautiful building & lots of parking. read more
