I went back here despite my better judgment because an old friend I hadn't seen in a while desired to go here for some drinks and food and to catch up. We sat outside because we had one of the few nice days around here where it didn't rain. The food was good but the shameful part here is the servers and atmosphere. During our meal, they decided to deliver hops or something to their silo outside the building but right outside the seating area. It was horrendously loud to the point of being uncomfortable with a scratching rattling noise that was terrible. We had to shout. After about 10-15 minutes of this, we complained to our server who said there wasn't anything that could be done but it should be over soon. Not long afterwards, it started to quiet down and everyone on the patio started clapping and cheering and THEN IT STARTED BACK UP. Slightly less loud, but still requiring shouting back and forth at our small table. This went on for another 30 minutes. I asked for the manager, who again said there was nothing she could do and then gave us "free drink" chips we could redeem for a free drink on another visit. We dropped over $80 for the two of us on this visit and were nearly hoarse when done talking. Then, as we are leaving, we look at the chips that we were given for our "free drink" and it's for a COFFEE on the house!! Not even a real drink. Good grief. I may have said this last time, but if at all possible, I'll never come here again. The price/atmosphere equation is radically out of balance here. read more

We were blown away by how good this brewery was. It was pretty big and looked super cool. It had a little bit of everything for anyone. It was a nice casual place. We've had their beers at bars back home and we're always impressed. They don't do traditional flights but 5 oz pours. I had basically all of their sours, which were fantastic. My husband loved their Oktoberfest. The food was also great. My husband had a burger which was good. My turkey melt was fantastic. I typically will only eat half a sandwich, but I couldn't stop. Unforgettable staff serving up amazing brews and bites! This spot has become a family favorite for milestone birthday celebrations. We gathered together for Mom's 80th birthday and everyone left full and happy. To start, we ordered the brewers bites (mini pretzels with a side of cheese dip), cellarmen fries and brussel sprouts with an IPA honey glaze. While we had no issues demolishing all of the above with our table of 6, but recommend pacing yourself if you are also imbibing and plan to order a main course. First visit to the Factory by Beer Tree. Love what they did to this part of the mall that used to be a Sears. The patio is huge and is great to enjoy on a nice day. My husband and I aren't huge beer fans so we had Blackberry and Lime cider from Awestruck and the Kentucky Buck cocktail. Both delicious. Chicken wings were big but could have been crispier. Made reservations for Brunch on Easter Sunday. When my party arrived they wanted to seat us at the high top tables which are awkward to sit at, the seats seem to be too short for the tables. The restaurant was maybe 40% full at most, why sit a family with reservations at a high top designed for overflow? Next, the food was meh at best. I ordered the steak and eggs, eggs were burnt on one side and looked like my 10 year old made them. The chicken and waffles had absolutely no flavor, frozen waffles have more flavor. Ordered coffees and when asked for regular milk, not non-dairy creamer they gave, the waiter wasn't sure how to bring it out to us. Going back to the high-tops, an elderly couple came in after us and they were seated at the high-tops. neither person was able to get up on the seats and yet the staff did not offer to seat them at any of the 4 empty 2 person tables near us. Factory used to have genuine Neapolitan pizza, best around. Now it is no better than frozen. Yesterday - $17 cheeseburger - clearly frozen premade. This is a great spot if you're looking for quality food in the Binghamton area. They have a wide selection of craft beers, cocktails and wine. The space is large and is able to host big groups. I'm most impressed with the food. Usually breweries will have small snacks or subpar food. Here, everything is made fresh and you can definitely tell the quality is top notch. This place never disappoints! I have been here several times. The food and service are always consistently good. They offer a large menu with many good choices, even salads. When it comes to drinks, they offer more than beer. There are some decent wines to choose from and they also offer some craft cocktails. I have never had to wait for a table, even when it is busy there. It can be loud in there depending on how busy it is or if there is an event going on, but it's never been intolerable. Parking is easy. I love this place and look forward to continuing to return. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a rainy and windy day and while we couldn't enjoy the outdoor lawn chair area, we had a fantastic time indoors. Great spot for American brunch and drinks in a large open space. I got the Brunch Burrito ($13), which was very tasty - it had a bit of a spicy kick with farm fresh veggies/eggs and came with a potato and sweet potato combo. It was also quite a filling portion size for the price. To drink, I tried the Raspberry Shandy ($8), which had a sweet raspberry flavor, but was too light with seemingly minimal alcohol. The restaurant has a huge dining area, both indoor and outdoor on a nice deck with umbrellas. You can also see where they brew their beer on the ground floor. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. The service speed was okay. Overall, Factory by Beer Tree Brew offers solid food and drinks in a nice open environment, and would be a great restaurant choice, especially on a day with nice weather for sitting on the outdoor deck. read more

Adding the batch coffee shop etc.. we recently had a team brunch celebration on a Sunday, all homemade muffins and scones and croissants along with delicious French toast - amazing French toast! The beer is great! My wife also has had a creamsicle slushee that was great. We love beer tree beer. This was our first there. The AC wasn't working upstairs and it was hot AF. It was awful. Downstairs was closed for a private party and was nice on cold. Figure out your HVAC issues. C'mon. Also, your food was NOT good. The menu sounds great, but is absolutely not well. We had a chicken sandwich and pizza. Will not eat there again. If people are eating this as 4 stars, they are nuts. Again, great beer and drinks. I've been a fan of beer tree since they first opened the first location. It was a beautiful location but a little far from the Binghamton downtown area. This location is great and I love that they're serving food inside instead of having to juggle your drinks and tacos from the bar to your table to the taco truck. This Johnson City location is great and close to the Wegmans. I ordered the salmon kale salad, which was one of the specials for the night. I recently dined at the restaurant for the 4th time this past week. Every time I've been I have been impressed. This past experience was sub-par compared to my other experiences. Our table was ready for us by the time promised. Our server was nice and attentive, but the rest of the experience left something to be desired. We ordered an appetizer which came out after our main meal was served. The food also did not come out at the same time which was also annoying. I wish that the kitchen had coordinated our appetizer and rest of the food better. The food was solid, as it always is. My friends, all who were new to Factory enjoyed their meals and the ambiance. I've only been here a few times, but I've been consistently delighted by both the Factory and the Downtown facility. The beers are interesting and varied (always happy to get a black lager -- not many places brew 'em). I won't claim to have a particularly sophisticated palate, but the beers taste great, and they seem to taste like the descriptions. I love the wide variety of sours. The menus are full of fun stuff -- we were delighted, on our last visit, to get dill pickle pizza. If you're the kind of person who'd order something like that (clearly, my partner and I am) then you'll be delighted with it. Our only complaint is that we wish there was more dill on the pie. I was blown away by the small wild grain bowl side, which was both an amazingly generous serving, and deliciously savory. I can only imagine how big the entree is, and how good it is with a bunch more stuff thrown in. Usually folks add stuff like vegan entrees as an after-thought, but this was awesome. The mac and cheese was not quite as amazing -- the beer cheese sauce didn't rock my world -- but it was still solid. On past visits, I've been delighted by the fries and poutine, and, looking over the rest of the menu, there's lots of stuff I'd like to try. We've lucked out (reading the other reviews) and generally had pretty solid service. I don't know that anybody wants to be my new best friend (and I don't know that I want them to be), but we haven't ever starved. We just waltzed into one of the last tables at the Factory this last visit, but I seem to recall waiting a bit on a previous visit. Similarly, we had quite a wait for a spot at the bar on a busy night Downtown, but once we were seated, both the bar staff and the other patrons were pretty cool. I can recommend this place unreservedly -- either of the two Beer Tree facilities I've been to were worth the trip, and I'm anxious to check out the Farm. read more

This is by far my favorite beer tree location. They have cocktails as well as the beer rotations both of which are delicious. I recently went and had the Naples pizza(pic) and try both the red and white sangria and it was the perfect after work dinner. A friend let me try their steak sandwich and it was just as amazing as the pizza. It was really steak strips with lots of flavor. On top of great food and drinks there was live music when I was that was set the perfect food to hang out and let the worries of the day go. The downsides, the burger was over cooked and ketchup container was so sticky and gross. The upsides, fries crisp and lightly seasoned. The iced tea wasn't instant.
