Farm Fresh Meats is an absolutely amazing place! They always have the best cuts of meat and the most pleasant smiles when they serve customers. We go on Fridays and Saturdays when they smoke a rack of ribs and pig wings (yes pigs fly and their wings taste awesome). Farm Fresh has some of the most unique sausage combinations and everything tastes so clean and natural for your body. When we come into Gulf Shores yearly, we always stop here and buy German sausage to take home. We have also tried the steaks and pork chops, and all is delicious. You are greeted and helped when you walk in. This review would have been a 5 stars except for this year 2 of the workers were using their bare hands to handle the meat, no washing them in between, handling different cuts of meat and then moving onto the next customer. Now I know the meat will be cooked, but there are the sheets they should be using to pick up the meats on the meat counter for a reason. I will go back again, but I really hope they don't continue this practice. I do recommend them for their meat though, all is quality and delicious. read more

Bought a Ribeye steak from this wonderful meat market.....$23.00 for the best Steak we've prepared and enjoyed in decades...... Tender.....flavorful. Worth every penny! We got another Chuck Roast and 5 individually wrapped 80/20 1 pound burger.....that is real without fillers.....the best! Called in a meat order Erin answered and was extremely helpful as I had many questions on size etc..I bought babybacks and needed bbq sauce and she said she had a good one so got it can't wait to try it..I also got those delicious German festival sausages, chicken, steak, sausage and cheese twice backed potatoes, breakfast sausage , their sliced bacon, gr beef . The meat looks great is packaged wonderful..we have had their meat many times and it is worth the trip what a difference from grocery store meat.. when you get there u call them and they bring your bag out to a table and call your name. You go get it put it in your car. I do order everything else to pickup at various grocery stores cause until this is over we don't want to go in and shop.. This is an old-school butcher shop. They sell very fresh meat, and can cut it however you like. They also have some thick, precut steaks and pork chops. We stopped in because they carry "Elberta sausage," which my husband loves. The selection is amazing! They do have a few cheeses, but none that are local. They also have a small selection of rubs, sauces and even charcoal. The butchers are friendly and helpful and the prices are as low as grocery store prices. When I was a child, my uncle owned the grocery store in the little town where I was forced to grow up. He had a reputation for selling fresh meats and having a great butcher. Everything you bought came wrapped in white butcher paper, just like it does here. People would drive for 20-30 miles to buy their meat from his store. As an adult, I understand why. In the future, if we're grilling a steak or chops, or smoking ribs or a butt, I will drive all the way to Robertsdale to buy from this place. read more

I stopped by on my way to the beach. I always wanted to stop but was always in a hurry. The staff was so helpful to let me know all of the different products they carry. I bought several ribeye steaks, some stuffed mushrooms, some smoked wings and pig wings. The ribeye steaks were unbelievable, very tender and juicy. The stuffed mushrooms were the best I ever had. The smoked wings were out of sight, they were very flavorful and moist even after refrigerated and warmed up later. The pig wings were unusual and very good. I am proud to let people know just how good this place is and what great customer service they have. It is fantastic to stop in and take goodies to the beach to enjoy or pick up something on the way home. I can't believe we passed by all these years. read more

Farm Fresh is not the biggest place but they have some grade A meat in their shop. Everytime I enter the store I am welcomed with a smile and hello. The meats are always fresh or has been properly aged. A tasty and cheap cut is the Pork Steaks! The pork steaks are huge and will make you crave them on a weekly basis. They are very knowledgeable and if you just ask they will help you pick out some meat for anyones wallet size and not leave you disappointed. read more

Love this place! They run an old fashioned butcher shop. You can also bring animals there for slaughtering and processing. It's really clean inside. They have a hot dog stand outside and advertise bbq sandwiches for those on the run. I'm glad we have somewhere to buy meat other than the chain grocery stores. read more

I live in Robertsdale close to this store. My husband and I went in here hoping to find some decent meats. When we went in we noticed the store was filthy. At glance the meats looked nice until we got up to the counter. The meats looked like they have been sitting there for a while and were so discoloured I couldn't tell what was what! The meats were small and full of fat. I could get better meat at walmart! read more

I do not recommend this place of business, there are plenty of other places I can go that deserve my support. Perhaps the folks at Farm Fresh Meats will be able to alter their attitudes and improve there customer relations instead of filtering out their poor reviews. This place is great. Anytime I am heading down to the beach I stop by and buy some steaks to take with me to grill out and then on my way home I will stop in again to get some things to take home with me. As a butcher myself an old fashion butcher I do not think highly of this place. It could use a good cleaning and teaching the man cutting meat actually how to cut meat. BEEF Steaks are cut across the grain not with the grain. I didnot notice this when I purchased them some $400 worth. The floor was slippery felt like grease on the floor. The owner is arogant, I do not need this when his butcher messes up. The German sausage taste has changed yes I have been there years ago in the 80's but will not be returning. I wonder really how clean this place is and if the other two post are family, sounds like it read more
