This is a nice coffee shop on the highway to Arcadia Park. It is right by the airport so you can sit on the terrace and watch the planes taking off. The shop itself is very clean, sells gifts, and has excellent, friendly service. My wife had the lavender almond latte and said it was alright but could have been better.

Banana cold brew and The Works breakfast burrito

This coffee house has all the rustic charm you'd hope for of the Northeast plus excellent options for food, gifts, and coffee. I had a breakfast burrito called The Works (sausage, egg, potato hash, guacamole, salsa, cheese) and a large cold brew. The portions are huge! A large drink is 32 oz, and I would have ordered a smaller size had I realized. However, the quality of the food and coffee was top notch. My husband and I split and blueberry scone to end our meal, and we will definitely be back when we come back to ME!

Really cute place with options. I was excited to find other goodies like local jerky and ground coffee we could buy too. My sister's weren't a big fan of the wraps and sandwiches. We stopped here two days in a row to try their coffee and food before hiking. The egg needs salted a little in the wraps. Coffee was good. My sister got a Chai Latte this morning and swears she didn't get her extra shot of espresso in it. I can't speak to that. I had a tasty salted maple latte yesterday and today I had a HUGE Chai Latte. Absolutely delicious drinks! The barista both days were nice and quick.

We are summer residents who are thrilled to welcome a great coffee shop/cafe to the area. Located on the main road to Ellsworth from Mt. Desert Island ( right across from the Bar Harbor Airport ), it is a delicious stop on the way to any location. The coffee is excellent. We have tried both the drip and the lattes. Also on offer are tasty muffins and scones. If you are hungry for more, try the burritos. I was very happy with my bacon and egg burrito. It was super full of eggs, bacon and potatoes. This coffee house is very inviting, open and airy. We usually grab our coffee and goodies and run, but I am always tempted to sit for a while. The service is friendly and efficient. There is lots of parking. They do close at 3 pm, so plan ahead!

Carrabassett brewed coffee and steak breakfast burrito

Best coffee shop we've visited on our trip! We love Carrabassett Coffee, so we were thrilled to see it featured in their brewed coffee selection. They had 5-6 varieties ready to go, which was perfect for a quick stop. The breakfast burritos were also prepped and ready--and absolutely delicious! The music selection was on point, and the space was clean, bright, and beautifully designed. We also loved browsing the local gifts, like blueberry jam and lobster-themed tea towels. Highly recommend!

Ok..this place is meh. So, it's a cool layout inside. Thats…read morethe positive. Well another would be the staff. Very friendly. The place is located kind of conveniently to Acadia. So you know what that means, right? Thats means...TONS of tourists which in turn means....YET ANOTHER place that can charge a ton for basic...and I mean BASIC a$$ food and drinks lol. I get that we are in Bar Harbor or close to Bar Harbor and Bar Harbor is bougie. However, this place is like 20 mins from town....and the food and drinks aint even all that..so there is NO need at all to be charging what they do. Cool views across the street tho. So I bought a muffin and it was decent. Was it the best? Nope. I also got the banana/strawberry smoothie. It was expensive. I was really hoping for BANANA AND....STRAWBERRY!! since that is what it says on the menu. Could I taste any strawberries? Hell no! LOL! I swear they charge you $10 for a few bananas they blend up with like 2 tiny strawberries. They do have to have the pink color in there to make you think you are getting what you ordered....because why would you want what the menu says?? Crazy thought, huh? hahahah! The smoothie was gross. Yes, bananas are good for you, they are good in a shake, but just a shake that tastes like....all banana...nah, not for me. For me, thats gross. So just keep that in mind. I get it...we are at a coffee spot that's a quick stop before you go into the park and do a ton of walking for the day, hiking, walking along the beaches in the park. However, I mean...just make what is on the menu since ya'll love to rob the tourists. Just seems unfair to me is all. Did I go back? Nnnnnope. We drove by this place every day too while in the area and on our way to the park. Just skip right on by this place and drive into Bar Harbor. Many more places to choose from AND....GET THIS!!! They make you...exactly what you order!!! So crazy! You can also find many places in town that aren't crazy overpriced despite being restaurants etc that are targeted towards the massive amounts of tourists who visit this beautiful area....what I am assuming is...all year round. I will absolutely return to this area. Bar Harbor....MAINE! is a whole other world! It's like nothing I have experienced before. It's definitely one of Americas best kept secrets. However, when I do return....I will just skip on by Acadia Coffee House. Sorry to the employees...kind of. You all were nice, but its just shady that you made me a banana smoothie when I ordered the banana/strawberry and charged me $10 ...FOR BANANAS!!! What are they at the store...barely a $1 a piece? hahaha! Thanks for reading! Just find another coffee house! You'll thank me later haha! Cheers!

It's been a while. I figured there would be new, and hopefully friendlier, staff. I was half right. There was new staff, but unfortunately, they were as unwelcoming as the last batch. This place has no prices on any of the premade sandwiches or pastries in their cases (why??), so we asked "Hey there, how much are your pies and cookies?". The employee was in the lobby sweeping and said "I'm not sure. Somewhere between $3- $5. Maybe more". She doesn't look up. Doesn't offer more clarity. She just shrugged this non-answer to us and carried on. It was awkward. So my husband, trying to make light of it, says "Sounds like it's up for debate so how about I give you $2.50" and this girl gives us a dour look and snaps "Well, I'm not behind the cash register so I can't look at the prices, can I?". So, we have now learned our lesson with this place twice. Not sure what it is about the culture there that results in such bad service years apart and by different people. We won't be returning.

No. But it's a nice healthy option if you want to lay off the butter and lobster for an evening or just want more veggies in general. I personally wasn't a fan of the customer service. The waitress looked very annoyed with our questions and had to repeat one things to us about an entree. We felt like an inconvenience and when we wanted a side or water, it was very difficult to flag our waitress down. When asking another waitress-- they also appeared annoyed. Potatoes and veggie shareables: The best it can get. You can tell the chef really put his heart into these recipes. I should have just ordered more of this. Pizza: It looks great but lacked so much flavor. It fell apart so quickly, couldn't even hold. The crust was also overly burnt. The pepperoni is "local" but way too spicy for a typical pep. They need a sauce to help cool down the spice-- I'd say ranch-- but maybe the chef can come up with one better. It was one of the worst pizzas I've had. Cocktails: Tasty and refreshing. I wasn't drinking but went with Hop water. Adding a lemon to it helped brighten it up-- surprised that's not offered. A great one time experience!

After an hour, I checked back and was told there were still four tables ahead of us. We didn't end up being seated until nearly two hours after we arrived. Once we were seated, our waitress let us know the pizza would also take quite a while. It ended up being another hour before our food arrived. Waiting nearly three hours from arrival to being served is simply unacceptable. From what I could see, there were only about eight staff members working, including the host, bartender, dishwasher, and servers. It was obvious they were overwhelmed and the restaurant was severely understaffed for the number of customers coming in. While I don't blame the employees they were doing the best they could the business clearly wasn't prepared to handle the crowd. It's disappointing because the property has a lot of potential, but poor management, extremely slow service, and inadequate staffing completely overshadowed the experience. Until they can properly staff the restaurant and provide realistic wait times, I can't recommend dining here. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.
