FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FAAAANTASTIC! little bakery in Bar Harbor! While I was on holiday in Maine I stopped in wherever to get my usual...I plain bagel, with butter..and a bottle of orange juice. Some places were good, some...not so much. I mean, how can a plain bagel with butter...be bad? Well, very easily lol. Went to a place in New Hampshire and it was the worst bagel I had ever had. So when I was in Bar Harbor, I had gone to a few places every morning and none of them were as great as this place. It's super close to downtown and all the tourist shops. So I just figured....expensive. Not at all. The bagel was fantastic! they toasted it just right and didn't drown it in butter like so many other places had on that trip. AND! the bagel was just so damn tasty. I like me some bagels lol The staff was so friendly. Just a happy place. The restaurant/bakery itself is so homey. It's very small...so if you wanna get there in the morning like so many do...go as early as you can if you wanna sit down. It's very comfortable in there. It's like a cute little cottage and you just kind of expect to see your adorable little grandma come out with the most amazing breakfast ever with her acting all sweet and grandma-like lol. I only wish I had discovered this place the first day we had gotten there. I would have been a regular for sure. What a pleasant little spot. Seriously, I just loved it and highly recommend anyone and everyone go here for their breakfast. They also have lots of like cookies and shit. I was so proud of myself...I held back and didn't get any even though I could have easily bought one of everything lol. So if you are in the Bar Harbor area and want a nice little spot to go for breakfast...and you see this review...go here! You will love it! If you hate it...you know where to find me....on Yelp lol. I guarantee you will love it tho. If you don't...Ill buy you a cookie to make you happy because obviously you're miserable if you find something wrong with this adorable little bakery :) Thanks so much for reading, Yelpers! Cheers!

Came here for a quick breakfast. We both had a bagel but with different cream cheese. I had bagel with turkey and herb cream cheese. Cream cheese was very bad, I had to scrape it off my bagel. My husband had to do the same. Bagels seem to be pre made and not baked in the bakery. It's weird to call yourself a bakery and not make bagels in the house. I got pumpkin spice coffee which was ok. Place is pretty cute inside. Has some nice tables and pleasant atmosphere. Service is decent, they basically bring food for you and it is pretty much it.

This was our last food stop before heading down to Portland and it was exactly what we needed. We got up early to see the sunrise and needed the energy boost. It's cute inside with a good amount of seating. They were well-stocked on the baked goods and the menu had a lot of breakfast/lunch options. I ordered an iced Cafe de Semih (maple blueberry latte) and a Baxter BLT bagel. The iced latte was good, the blueberry flavor wasn't strong but it was just sweet enough for me. It was a bit heavy on the milk, but I think that's a personal preference thing. The bagel was also solid; it had a lot of filling and was toasted. I didn't get to eat until later and it held up well for the long drive.

Before we left New York for Maine, we put a list together of all the places that we wanted to try whoopies pies from. My family has been making whoopie pies for decades and every time I go to Maine, we try to find pies that remind us of the ones that we make! We enjoyed our whoopie pie from mt Dessert. We liked that this place was off the beaten path and away from some of the chaos of Bar Harbor.

This was my last stop before leaving Bar Harbor and it was a delicious note to end on. I got a blueberry latte with almond milk and it was a bit too milk forward in my opinion and I wish the blueberry flavor was a little more prominent. I also just got a plain bagel with egg and sausage since I wasn't super hungry and it really hit the spot. It's what you'd want in a bagel sandwich, so nothing much to say there. I also got a blueberry scone for the road and that was delicious as well albeit a little lacking in the blueberry flavor in my opinion. If you're looking to try a little breakfast or bakery then I'd highly recommend stopping in here!

Came in for a quick bagel and a coffee. Very charming little spot . It's very cheerful too. I recommended the food and it's not too expensive. Good service & good food.

Love the pun on the name so close to our B&B so I had to stop in. So glad I did. I had a hot latte with whole milk and it was creamy and delicious. The barista was testing out latte art, not quite there yet but I love the attempt. Love that the staff was singing along to the music in the cafe. The place is cute and cozy. Lots of patrons enjoying their morning beverage. Fun stop.

Everything was amazing -- espresso, drip coffee, bagel sandwich, and pastries! So good we're coming back for round two.

Best bite we had all week in Maine was our bagel sandwiches from this little Bakery on Cottage Street. Hot mocha latte was fabulous. Thanks y'all for the great food and kind hospitality!

Six of us stopped in for breakfast before going into Acadia. All our food and drinks were excellent (especially the blueberry tart) and served quickly by friendly staff. Street parking is easier here than right in the center of town.

    Mother stuffin' turkey sandwich

If you have the privilege to have their Mother Stuffin' Turkey sandwich, DO IT. Seriously. My god. It holds the perfect ratio of Turkey, real cranberry sauce, and stuffing. Their coffee cake is also superior. My bf and I came back three times while we visited Acadia. Needless to say, I've recommended this bakery to countless people and am shocked I haven't already posted this review.

Great pastries and interesting drinks! Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Super friendly and efficient. **Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** Pretty small ordering area that can get cramped, but all the goodies are on display! **Price & portion, 5/5** Pretty reasonable prices -- great for trying multiple items and picking up a quick brekkie or lunch. **Taste of the food, 4/5** - Pumpkin chocolate loaf, 5/5: Great pumpkin flavor, not too sweet, and moist! Fantastic. - Chocolate scone, 2/5: Not a fan of this one. Super dry and dense with very little flavor -- the only saving grace was that it was packed with chocolate chips. - Lemon poppy bundt cake slice, 5/5: Moist, flavorful, and didn't taste at all like artificial lemon. Lovely breakfast! - Iced mocha, 3/5: Tasted a bit watered down for me. - Butterbeer latte, --/5: I personally don't like Butterbeer so not factoring this into my review. But the toffee/butterscotch flavor REALLY comes thru. **Other notes** A few tables outside that seat 2 people each.

There was a long line but wasn't too bad because there was some shade and the place is on main street where the parade starts. Inside was crowded as well and a bit hectic during busy hours. Inside is spacious with multiple seats and tables as well as mild AC and free wifi. I got the maple oat latte. Once i placed the order it took about 5 minutes and picked it up at the window. The latte was not mixed very well initially so had to mix it well before drinking. But once it's mixed it was tasty. I tasted the hint of maple flavor mixed with bitterness of coffee and creaminess of oat milk. Service was good especially considering it was very busy at the time. Overall it's a nice cafe for quick stop or lounging with decent drink options. Price is on the pricier side but pretty standard for local coffee shop. Plus we got to sit and watch the parade without sitting in the sun.

#46 in my NEW ENGLAND & NY COFFEE SHOP SERIES…read more Had to stop by here since I saw so many raving reviews on TikTok. Overall, my impression of it was good. Nothing out of the ordinary, solid choco-latte and mocha. Good for those that don't like their drinks overly sweet. There is ample seating, however it is also very busy, especially during the summer months. I would come again. It just isn't a stand out compared to other places I have had. They have a good selection of pastries and food. Pricing is average.
