The burger was great and the fries were exactly what you want: hot and crunchy. The onion rings had great flavor, though the breading was falling off quite a bit. Parking is easy with plenty of spots. One heads-up: the restroom situation is a bit frustrating. The staff has to buzz you in, but they just tell you to 'push hard' instead of actually pressing the button. Another customer and I both struggled to get in even after pushing with all our weight. I saw a billboard for a $6.99 pancake, bacon, and egg special and drove to this location since it is the closest one to the ad (only about 2 miles away). The next closest Farmer Boys is in La Habra, over 7 miles away. When I showed manager Lucy the promotion on my phone, she flat out refused to honor it. Since I was already there and hungry, I ended up paying $9.99 for a different breakfast. I felt totally tricked into coming in just to be forced into buying something more expensive because I was already there. This is a classic bait-and-switch. Mobile Ordered Sunday morning at about 8am. In my offers there was a pancake platter for $7.49, can use it once. Read the procedure on how to claim it. Now, on to my order. I got the pancake platter with bacon and scrambled eggs. The two cakes were huge. My daughter ended up eating them and loved them. I had the rest and it was good. We also ordered the chicken strip box and it's delicious. You can pick from a 3 or 4 piece, a piece of Texas toast, a small drink and you get fries which are some of the tastiest and they keep their heat. Not cold by the time you get home. The spicy sauce I chose for it is soooo good!! Hubs got his usual Farmers Omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast. It's a super big portion. My food was ready when I arrived, the lobby was clean, lots of parking. I usually have to wait awhile for the food, but this time it was ready. I gave it 4 stars, because management should be able to help the customer out when corporate puts out a "come on" advertisement. I'm VERY upset that I was charged an extra $8 when I hit apply in the "offers" for that item. It's false advertising. Last Thursday July 27, I dropped in at this place for breakfast. Having come here in years past, I knew it was a good, clean and friendly place where I could have breakfast and get some work done on my laptop. Leah was the cashier host that morning. I was treated well, the dining room was clean and smelled of bacon frying on the grill. I asked if there was a booth with an electrical plug and I was directed to one of the booths with a convenient plug. Long story short, I was able to complete my work prior to a supplier visit, ate my breakfast and did it all in a stress free environment. There is a large eating area where you seat yourself. There are small individual tables, perfect for any occasion whether you're having an intimate dinner or having a large party for lunch. Was a little skeptical about going to Farmer Boys, but my coworker insisted for their birthday meal deal. Here we go again. I made a poor decision on returning to a Farmer Boys. Thought I would give it another chance, and boy that was a mistake. Same as my last visit, the onion rings they boast about are getting worse. This time I ordered a bbq crucnch cheeseburger, it had little onion ring pieces that would be the crunch to it. Well this was were the problems began. Just as in one of my previous reviews with Farmer Boys, these onion rings pieces ruined my meal. Just as before they were made from onion skin, the outside of the onion that regular people throw away. How do you eat onion skin, its so chewy like plastic. This happening for a second time tells me their quality check on what they sell means they don't care about quality. Along with my problem, my friend ordered onion rings and they weren't fully cooked. They were golden brown, they were barely cooked and chewy, totally missing the crispiness. For a place that is supposed to have award winning food, makes me wonder how did they get this award. You can see in the pictures I've downloaded the onion rings arent fully cooked and the onion straws from the burger has no breading cause I couldnt bite the plastic onion peelings in half, so the breading just slid off. Bottom line, I'll never return to a Farmer Boys again. Oh and one more thing, I feel their prices are totally out of control. I don't mind paying a little more for good food. This wasn't even decent. I'll stick to a nearby Douglas for my burgers and pastramis. read more
