I gave this place a shot and honestly it's just average. I saw when this place opened up on the Quad and had my eye on it for a while but to be honest it's not worth it. When I first came in I asked to use the restroom because I was with my 7yr old and she was about to pee her pants. The guy just looked at me and was going to say no but then he processed what I had asked and he said yeah but gave me a look. I told him I was going to order but my kid needed the restroom first and he then told me where the bathroom was. When we came out I went to the register and the guy came up and just stood there. I then told him it was my first time and looked at the menu. I then asked him if there was a favorite burger and he quickly said "argentine" and just stood there again. He took my order and honestly it seemed like he was checked out or zoning out consistently. The order then took 20 mins to complete and it was To Go. I also was hearing as the lady cooking the food was just slapping the burgers on the counter as she finished them, without any care or decency. When I looked at my order I saw the fries were just in small paper boats covered with another paper boat, not something I expected for $6-7 for fries but I digress. First off, I got 3 burgers and 2 fries plus 2 Brazilian lemonades. While I was paying the screen gave me the option to enter my phone number and register to save points, well I wasn't even done registering when the cashier just processed the order and asked me to pay. I told him I was trying to register my phone and if he could get the option up again and he said no I can't. So he just said I had to pay for it and that he was sorry I couldn't get the points. This was extremely rude and felt rushed. I was the only person there ordering too and I told him it was my first time being there so I didn't appreciate the fact that he did that and didn't offer to fix the issue. Secondly, the lemonade was disgustingly bitter. It was gross and I had to throw both out. It tasted like they had blended overripe limes into the drink and they didn't even bother to see that the limes had gone bad. The burgers themselves were honestly average even with all the different flavors or toppings. I got the Nashville, Guadalajara and the Argentine burgers and they all tasted the same. Nothing special and actually tasted quite flavorless. The only difference was that the Guadalajara bun was soggy due to the juices that leaked to the bottom and it tasted mainly like cilantro. The Nashville burger tasted like bacon and that's it. Nothing special. The Argentine one had some flavor in the arugula/chimchurri sauce but aside from that again, the patty was bland. The Parmesan fries lacked flavor and the bacon/cheese fries were just sad. It felt like the just microwaved velvetta on top. Luckily the guy at the register disrupted my registration process because I will not be coming back. If you want plain burgers you're better off going to BK or McDonalds down the street. read more

They're family owned and operated and I got their Cuban fries, chihuahua burger, and Colombian burger. The fries are cut and fried in house and were a bit soggy but had plenty of gooey cheese, ham, and grilled onions and had good potatoey flaves. The chihuahua burger had a meaty patty, buttery bun, rich chorizo, creamy nutty avocado, gooey savory cheese, nutty crunchy lettuce, and bright cilantro. Could maybe use something acidic like a salsa cuz it does get a bit rich. The Colombian burger also had a good patty and bun and had a sweet pineapple jam, cheese that kinda got lost in there, and crunchy fresh coleslaw. Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally stopped in for the first time. Menu is a little overwhelming because there are so many unique options. I tried the Argentine and my son had the classic California. Everything was fresh and tasty. Patties are a little thin so would probably go with a double next time. Fries were fresh. This was the first time I've tried this restaurant. I received an advertising flyer from them on my door that said there was a 20% promotion happening. The first impression walking in was disappointing. The man at the register was hanging in the pickup window and engaging in a personal conversation with someone in the kitchen. I waited a couple of minutes before he finally noticed me waiting and he seemed surprised that I was even standing there. When he asked what I was ordering, I told him this was my first time there and I showed him the flyer I received. He said he would have to give me the discount but did not offer any menu suggestions or say much else. After I ordered, I was attempting to pay with my debit card. I tried inserting it for the chip, then swiping it, but the machine was not reading my card. The employee tried to take my card from me and I clearly told him I did NOT want to use the tap feature. He proceeded to take my card and try to tap it, and I repeated that I did not want to pay that way. I have been double charged in the past from tap transactions and the cashier cannot cancel the transaction the way they can cancel a swipe or chip insert. The employee seemed annoyed and said he never heard of that. After my chip finally worked, I sat down to wait for my order. The employee then called to me over the counter and said that I didn't give him my "coupon". The flyer was NOT a coupon. It was a printout that said 20% off. No expiration date, no indication of a coupon, no terms stating to produce a coupon after ordering. It didn't even have the promotion in the typical coupon shape with dotted outlines. Nothing like that was printed on the flyer, but the employee said he needed it to count how many people used it, so I gave it to him. I wouldn't need it again anyway. After the awkward customer service and the quality of the food I received, I will not be back. I ordered a Nashville burger and an order of chili cheese fries to go. My chili cheese fries were spilling out of a paper tray into the bag. It was not packed in any kind of box with a lid, as I would expect a to-go item like this to be served. Both the burger and fries were extremely GREASY and had no flavor. They tasted like they were cooked with no seasoning. After one bite, I unfortunately threw the food away. It was a waste of time and money, even with the "coupon". I tried to give it a chance, but I definitely won't be back to World Burgers. I could have been them sitting there for a while since my food came out fairly quick but over all a great meal. The Swiss cheese had no flavor, The Ham was paper thin, dry and burnt around the edges The 2 patties (yes I paid for extra meat) were very thin, overcooked to the point of being gray and so dry they were very tough and hard to chew and swallow. The grilled onions were very greasy causing the brioche bun to be equally as greasy. It was a strange experience having a burger be that greasy and that dry at the same time. I will say, I've been to this place at least 5 times by now, and it NEVER DISAPPOINTS. More importantly, with a very impressive list of options, it's near impossible to run out of burgers to try! This latest visit - I had the Nashville burger, while my fiance had the Argentine burger. We split an order of the Cuban frites. First thing to know - the food is made fresh upon order. You may have a little bit of a wait. As the owner explained, much of the items are made to order (something that came up when we talked about the cole slaw on the Irish burger, which had a surprising crunch to it). Now, my Nashville burger was just wonderful. The onion rings on the burgers were crispy, thicker cut. The BBQ sauce was smoky and a bit sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, which would take away from the rest of the ingredients. Her Argentine burger knocked my socks off. The combination of the chimichurri, pickled onions and arugula really worked on the burger. She held the salsa, which might've added a little kick but I can't say we missed it. The Cuban frites were just amazing - ham, pickles, Swiss cheese and mustard aioli in particular seemed like an odd combination of fries, but it was an absolute home run for both of us. Overall, I'm still so excited for more options to try. This is a regular option now, and I hope it stays that way for a long time! read more

The burgers are great not bland or average and the creativity of their take on how burgers would be from around the world is interesting but delicious. The cashier has assisted me twice and she is very kind and patient when it comes to answering questions on the menu. There is enough seating for groups or quick date night. Now the Guadalajara was different and in the best way. It had crunchy tortilla chips, a chipotle sauce, cilantro, queso fresco, and lots of flavor overall. The fries were also really good (remind me of In-N-Out's fries) and the onion rings were decent. I'll also mention one thing; the burger patty itself is really thin. For my personal preference, I wish it had a little more meat. SERVICE - The young girl who helped us out was pretty young and awkwardly nice. Service wasn't outstanding but it wasn't bad either. Came here, kinda for the second time.. First time someone brought us burgers and fries from this place, but honestly the food doesnt travel well, being that its so fresh when made. Gave it a second go today, and yes, i ate there. So i got the whittier double burger, with some guadalajara fries, and we tried some parm garlic fries as well, since you get free fries with Yelp check in :) Burger was good. Fries were both really good. Fries are freshly cut and made to order, so a little reminiscent of in-n-out fries.. Sort of. The place is super clean.
