I felt like the little cartoon character who is floating while smelling the yummyness of it all! This place is just so cute and quaint. It has a real homely feel and the young lady working was so kind! She was actually the daughter in law of the owner and she was just really personable. You could tell she really loved the family business. We will definitely be stopping in here the next time we are taking a drive down to SoCal! It's too delicious not to stop! Thanks for the warm and fuzzy feels on a cold day!

You can either buy your baskets right away or look around the shop. Lots of good stuff in the shop, but you should wait until you are heading out to grab stuff. After we paid for our baskets, we loaded into the tram and was driven to the cherry area. When you stopped, the attendances guided us to the 3 rows we can pick from. I understand to keep the crowd controlled and make sure the farm doesn't get trampled. The weather was perfect so we took our time, walked to the back of the rows and moved forward as we picked. They were red and beautiful, grabbed our baskets once they were full and headed back. He did buy some strawberries and honey comb inside the Little Purple Barn. You do have to come early for the pies, there may not have any later in the day. The cherry picking is only on the weekends.

THEY ALLOW DOGS IN THE MARKET, on leashes, puppy carriers, dog strollers JUST NASTY........ FARMERS MARKET ???? I only see 2 or 3 vendors with produce, I originally hoped I t would get better over time. and nope it hasnt same 2 to 3 vegetable vendors same thing very week. 2/5 Stars I come here for 2 places Martins Meats 5/5 Stars and Howies Micheladas,5/5 Stars and other than that i don't even know why I continue to come here, I can get those any day of the week, I guess this "Farmer's Market" is not my particular cup of tea ,I have been spoiled in Ventura and San Diego all my life so im biased on the lack of variation of produce and vendors, I have tried to give them a chance, I usually am disappointed every time I come, nothing original, two or 3 places sell almost the exact same items here, and certain places are either out of what I want to get or they don't make that particular item the weekend that I come. I show up before 10am everytime and it hasn't made a difference if I showed up right before closing to get some Chamoy candies, and a Agua Fresca from Howie or some rib tips or breakfast tacos/burritos from Martin. Both 5/5 Stars Dont get me wrong for Bakersfield this is a 5 but we've gotta have more variety Final rating 2/5 Stars until they bring in some produce, and not puppies..

This outdoor market is a place for the locals to grab some organic produce or try the latest food truck item they've been seeing while scrolling on social media. I come for the seasonings and the cinnamon rolls. We showed up a couple hours after opening and the only cinnamon rolls left were the traditional. I was t in the mood for the basic ones so I decided to try out one of their gourmet cookies instead. For $6 I tried out the Ferraro Roche chocolate chip cookie and it was absolutely delicious! We'll come back in a couple of months when our seasonings need to be replenished but by that time it'll be scorching outside making it miserable to walk this market.

You can get a quick meal to go, which I haven't done yet but am looking forward to. The aromas are Devine. The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me. They have a small but excellent meat department. I noticed that they have very reasonable prices and the lamb is especially affordable compared to other markets. They have a vast array of what are exotic groceries compared to other markets. I love to just peruse the isles when I'm there. I wish they had cooking classes. It would be interesting to learn how to use ingredients I'm not familiar with. I highly suggest a visit. You won't be disappointed.

I guessed that…read moreingredients for Indian cookery is what they specialize in so there could be cross overs. I keep reading about how brown sauce is a staple on every table in the UK. HP Sauce is the main brand. I stopped in on afternoon Saturday the 7th. First impression was similar to the Asia market on White Lane, maybe less cluttered, more like a small supermarket. Walking the isles I didn't see it. To make sure I asked a stock clerk. He was friendly, hadn't heard of HP Sauce but walked me to where it might be. No luck. I didn't want to leave empty handed so brought an apple soda in a clear plastic can shaped like an aluminum can up to the register. I guess they took those earlier negative reviews to heart. The cashier, a man in his 40s or 50s, was so friendly. Joking with me in a dad joke way then gifting me a little morsel on my way out. I'm sure no one else gets treats, I was wearing my cervical collar, pretty sad looking. They have a lot of different foods there. Great produce. Just don't count on finding much British food.
