Be careful this store will rip you off!!! It was my birthday so I decided to order some prime ribeyes, I ordered 4 prime ribeyes for curb side pick up which cost $119. I picked up the order, I got 3 choice ribeyes that were about $60 that honestly were not very good. I figured that the cost would be adjusted, it was not. Thus, I reached out on the app for a refund, it was denied. I called customer service; they said that they processed a refund and it will show in my account in 10 days. After more than 10 days it never showed, I called customer service back and they told me to call the store. I called the store twice and spoke with a manager, they said that they can do nothing I had to speak the store director. The manager took down my number and said that the store director would reach out to me. That never happened; I called back and repeated the process and got the same result. read more

For the last five years, I have been a customer of this store experiencing digital coupons issues occasionally. Recently, I experienced a terrible costumer service provided by the bakery department. I placed an order(with a picture) on a Wednesday for an important event on the following Saturday. I called the bakery Friday to confirm if the cake would be ready for Saturday at 12:00 and it was confirmed. Saturday morning, I received a call from Tom Thumb bakery around 10:00 asking for clarifications. I went by there to reassure what I wanted the cake to look like and the lady actually showed me the picture I had left. To complete this review, look at the picture (attached) to see how my mother's 80th birthday cake ended up looking like. When I saw this unskilled designed cake, I requested if there was a baker who could correct the frosting or make it look better. No one was available at 3:00 on a Saturday! Very Poor concern for customer service and the celebration of my mother milestone birthday. Up to now, I would have always recommend this Tom Thumb but now, please reconsider this bakery. read more

1 Star - Extremely Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish I typically enjoy shopping at Tom Thumb and have had good experiences at other locations, but this particular store has been nothing short of a disaster. After several frustrating visits and one completely unacceptable online order experience, I feel compelled to share what happened -- especially since it's now been over two months, and I'm still fighting to get my $100 back. Let me start with a recurring issue: the Starbucks inside the store. On more than one occasion, I've dealt with baristas who have had a terrible attitude. The most memorable moment was when I requested a custom drink (nothing too wild, just a variation of a regular item), and she snapped back with, "We're not a real Starbucks. If you want a custom order, you need to go to an actual Starbucks location." Not only is this rude -- it's just bad customer service. If you're wearing a Starbucks apron and serving from a Starbucks menu, then I expect a basic level of service and courtesy. To top it off, they didn't have the sandwich I ordered, so the attitude really made a bad situation worse. Now, the biggest issue -- and the reason I will never shop at this location again -- was the Drive Up & Go order fiasco. I placed an online grocery order and was charged immediately. I arrived at the store at my scheduled pickup time and parked in the designated area. After waiting nearly 20 minutes with no sign of anyone bringing out my order, I called in -- only to be told that my entire order had been given to someone else. Just like that. Because I had to return to work, I didn't have time to go inside and sort it out in person. I later received a phone call from someone at the store apologizing and saying my groceries would be delivered to my home later that day around 5:30 PM. That seemed like a decent resolution -- until no one showed up. No groceries. No call. No update. Just silence. I contacted customer service and explained everything. They apologized and offered a full refund and a $5 credit. I received the $5 credit... but the refund never came. After three separate follow-ups, I was finally told they couldn't issue the refund because the store manager claimed the order had been delivered -- which is completely false. I never received anything. Frustrated, I went into the store myself to try and speak with the manager, Mr. Brown. I was told he was on a conference call that might run long, so I left my contact information and asked for a call back. That was weeks ago -- still no response. This has been incredibly frustrating. I've wasted so much time trying to resolve something that was their fault, and after two months, I'm still out $100. At this point, I've escalated the matter with my bank to dispute the charge. Between the rude in-store service, the complete lack of follow-through with the Drive Up & Go order, and the total absence of accountability from management, I'm honestly shocked that this is how Tom Thumb operates. It's especially disappointing because the brand overall has a decent reputation -- but this location is giving it a very bad name. I highly recommend avoiding this store. Go to another Tom Thumb or a completely different grocery chain if you can. This store sells their customer spoil seafood. I ordered my groceries online and they gave me spoil fish.

Came in to the store on Saturday evening 6:00pm. There was only three cashiers. One at the service desk, one working a "regular" line and one assisting those in the self check-out. The employee on the regular line closed her lane and all the "customers" were forced to become "employees and use the only method...self checkout. The place looked and felt like Wal-Mart with more pricey food items. read more

The aroma from The Deli alone was captivating. I came in for one thing, but left the store with 15 items. I call it "The Tom Thumb Experience. The cashier was so nice and friendly...I'm in there a lot, so we were familiar. Mrs. Diane is always so helpful and keeps her area spotless clean. Mrs. Mozelle and Mr. Wilburn stay busy...but they always acknowledge my presence. This store is great. The Store Manager Antonio, has turned things around. It would be wrong to not mention the glassy/glossy, shiny floors. First impressions are lasting ones. So good job Tom Thumb...y'all are fire! read more

This is a really nice store with very good organization and spacing. First thing I noticed was how cleanly this place was upon walking in. Spacious isles and diverse selection of goods. Tom Thumb cards saves on select item but you'll be luck if it saves on taxes . Nice store. read more

This is my spot! They carry the best line of Organic vegetables and fruit. They also carry the Organic meats at a very reasonable price. I also like the added bonus of my reward card. Once many store stop offering this, its nice to see instant savings. Now the Starbucks is a added bonus for all the coffee lovers. Along with a Bakery selection that will have you questioning your diet. Now I still go to other stores for other items I need. But as for my Organic choices Tom Thumb is my top choice. This also has to do with the prices that might not be has low,as other stores. This is sht my reward card comes in handy. I also come to get the fresh Sushi that is made and delivered daily. So this is a choice that is on my list to always hit when time to stock up! read more

The clerk at the deli was sooooo nice and sweet and I love safeway sandwiches i missed them after being in fl for three years! So much better then the Publix chain imo. On the other hand, service at the front lanes was HORRIBLE and it took all I had not to go off on the cashier. I will keep going 4 the sandwches but I will do my best to pay at the deli. read more

They have a new lady at the deli section....EVERY time I come here...I'm waiting between 5-10 minutes. She always apologizes for the wait and blames it on being understaffed. I get that, but she move with absolutely NO sense of urgency. It's damn near 6pm, I got here around 5:30....she is JUST now getting to me. The lines are ALWAYS long! They have the worst fruit. It's rarely fresh. The best thing about this Tom Thumb is their store made tortilla chips, salsa, and dip! Don't even think about a pick up order. Placed order to be picked up at 7. Got message at 7 saying delayed. Called at 10 before they closed and was informed the curbside dept was gone. Got an email at 1am saying order was canceled. Called at 8am to inquire and was told there was nothing they could do.... meanwhile my 135 was on hold in my account. Walmart curbside is much more reliable.... never had this issue with them! Also left messages a for mgmt and corporate with no response... it's been almost a week! read more

This Tom Thumb does not know the words "Customer Service". I was attempting to contact the floral department manager, and was left on hold for 15 minutes. When I hung up and called again, this time the customer service person told me that the Floral Department Manager was gone for the day. Gee--that would have been nice to know before holding for 15 minutes. I tried once again today to reach the floral department and was on-hold once again for 10 minutes without ever speaking to anyone! Still waiting on customer service to contact me. read more

The smell SLAPS you in the face the second you walk in the door. This store is ridiculous. Don't let the outside fool you. You think you are getting nice, clean, updated, and elegant. Instead you get straight up dirty, dishevled, and lazy. I wouldn't purchase anything from the bread/ bakery section. Everything looks touched on and stale. I visited the bakery section after hours. The bakery was closed but it looked like the employees just left without cleaning anything. Bagels were in the cookie Bin. Cookies were in the donut trays. There were half eaten items loosely strewn about. My Goodness! I understand you cannot always control the behavior of trifling customers, but a business has control over its image. Train your employees to clean for God's sake! I blame sorry management. Just from what I saw, I would only purchased pre-packaged foods from this location. If they are blatantly this lazy out in the open, how do they handle the food when customers are not watching. Corporate needs to demand better from their management. I don't know how people can shop here,, the store has a loud foul smell, when I asked the cashier about the smell she said she didn't know what it was but it had been smelling like that for 2 months. I purchase two 5lb bags of Catfish Nuggets 2 weeks ago and decided to fry them last night for the family. After thawing I could see they were badly spoiled so I went last night, March 18, 2010 at 8 pm to return. The night manager said he couldn't authorize without a receipt so I would have to come back in the a.m. I go what? So I returned at 9:30 a.m. and the asst. store manager said no without a receipt and that it was at her discretion and handed me the 2 bags back in front of other customers. I went home and called corporate office and she put me on hold and called Hedi Lofis, the asst store manager to see if she could get something worked out and she still said no. I shop at this store all the time and spend $300 month and most employees know me. Corporate said something that really made me mad, she said that returns over $5 are at the managers discretion and that this store had high theft. So I am being punished for high theft in this middle class surb area. I wonder if the city council and mayor are aware of this stigma on the community that shop here. read more
