Cool Place to hang out, great beer selections. No food, so make sure you come for beer only. However, you can order from Mexican food, pizza, etc from around the corner.

OK to bring your own snacks!

A five year update! So not much has changed...good. Gave up another star for hanging in there through the pandemic. Got together with a handful of good friends and had a couple of cold ones. A near perfect setting for this. Looking around the place in between gulps, people seemed to be enjoying themselves either watching the baseball game or playing games in between gulps. Last words...more often.

After dinner, my wife and I decided to take a walk and check out a little of our surroundings in the downtown area. We searched a little on Yelp while we were eating and decided to check out this place which was near where we had dinner. As you enter, you can see the the space is narrow and deep. There are two large tables on either side of the entrance as you walk in. The bar is long on the right side and there are 5 smaller tables on the left. There are four TV's on the wall behind the bar. Each were playing a different sporting event. Above the TV's is another TV showing the beer and wine menu. They have 24 beers on tap and 15 different wines. We decided to have a seat at the bar and were greeted right away. We asked about IPA's and a sweet wine and the woman was very helpful in suggesting the Russian River Pliny the Elder Double IPA and the Weinkeller Von Erbach Riesling. We were both pleased with the selections. We really liked the industrial theme decor of the place and even took some pics that we thought we might be able to incorporate into our own home. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy and the service and selection was great. The only downsides are that they only serve beer and wine and the food menu is very limited. However, we are glad we came in!

This little spot is a breathe of fresh air. It reminds me venues in big cities like San Jose and San Francisco. It is really a bar and a not restaurant, however they do encourage bringing in food to eat from home or local restaurants. On occasion, a local food truck will be parked near by. With over 20 craft beers on tap and 10-15 wines on this list, it make for an amazing choices. They menu changes on a regular basis. Be prepared to try something new. Personally, I have found some that I have really enjoyed and was out shopping for the next day. I recommend going earlier in the afternoon (they open at 2 pm), to relax and learn more about their beers and wines and chill with friends.

I love this place, super mellow place To grab a good beer. They have a good choice of beer, the place looks amazing inside. Definitely a hidden gem in salinas Also, free pretzels and mustard!!

Tried this out for the first time, great ambiance and very friendly reception. Great selection of wines and beers. Highly recommend it for happy hour, light fare, or to grab a glass of wine and type away at the computer (if that's your kind of thing....like me)

    Quality wine !

The restaurant has a great drink selection and a great menu. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they offer a Tuesday dinner special that includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for only $32! This menu also had a special drink selection. I ordered the house salad, prawn risotto, and chocolate lava cake. The salad was very fresh with spring mix and butter lettuce, which I especially enjoy, and it was topped with a light vinaigrette style house dressing that was light and delicious. The prawn risotto was creamy, flavorful, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The chocolate lava cake was rich and very chocolatey, a bit too rich for my personal taste, but still enjoyable. It also came with vanilla gelato, which was delicious. As a table, we also ordered the tableside tiramisu, which was such a fun and unique experience. I am a tiramisu connoisseur, so anytime I see it on the menu, I ordered it. It is my favorite dessert. Although this was not my favorite one, I very much enjoyed the experience. I will mention the espresso needs a little more time to fully soak into the ladyfingers, but the presentation and experience alone made it worth trying. The ambiance was lovely with nice background music, and the service was attentive and welcoming. Everyone in our party truly enjoyed their meal, especially the birthday girl. Overall, Patria is a fantastic dinner spot in Salinas, and I would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

I'm glad to report that last night had some music in the bar, it was soft and sounded like Italian folk (Frank Sinatra would've been nice too) but it was perfectly fine because it broke up the atmosphere in a positive way. Calamari appetizer was great and my pork chop was too. Service was equally great as it was prompt and accompanied. I'll be back soon, so if you haven't tried Patria yet, you should.

Otherwise, we'd probably still be there gabbing and drinking with Danielle and whoever walked up to get their wines. Danielle was a lovely gal who made our tasting engaging and fun. We talked wine, food, weather, birds, vineyards... And then we even got to meet and speak with Denis (the owner/winemaker). Such a great guy! Talking to him is like talking to a long time friend where you can talk about everything you like and don't like and everything in between. Right now.... He makes 32 different wines! Naturally we joined the wine club. Not just because we enjoyed the wine but because we loved the people. We also bought a bottle of wine to take with us to have at dinner where we let our server have a bit and told him he needed to go check out Odonata. (I couldn't believe he'd not been yet!) We're telling everyone about Odonata... Talk about a "hidden in plain sight GEM". Tips: You can bring your own snacks. They have a few snacks to buy too.
