Had a great experience at The Brass Tap in Marina! They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a family-friendly sports bar atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we got there. The food came out really fast and exactly how we ordered it. We had the Sweet Heat Honey BBQ Bacon Burger, onion rings, and the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza--everything was delicious. The burger had a great sweet-and-spicy combination, and the hot honey on the pizza was a perfect touch. We washed it all down with a non-alcoholic Guinness and a hazy IPA (can't remember the name, but it was great!). Great atmosphere, friendly service, quick food, and everything tasted awesome. Classic sports bar, and certainly a great place to come watch the World Cup. Came here for USA vs Australia with some lunch on the side. The energy in the building was electric! Stopped in before a movie. We had been looking forward to checking this place out for a while. It was pretty busy especially for 5:00 on a Saturday. Service was decent considering. Prices were super reasonable and food and drinks were good! Hubby loved his beer and I tried a Strawberry basil mule that was refreshing. He enjoyed his chicken strips and I got a tasty side salad. The worst ribeye steak I've ever had. Poor quality meat. No seasoning. Bland! The garlic fries served with it on my steak frites were limp and extremely greasy. I sat at the bar and ordered an old fashioned. The bartender disappeared and came back 10 minutes later with my drink. The king cube had half melted. The food is good, I like the chicken wings and my wife loves the Asian style burger. Very good draft selection and I've never had a bad pour. Service is ok if you sit at a table, horrible if you sit at the bar. They will leave you there for over an hour without a word, let alone food or drink, even when they're not busy. Outside seating is really nice. Trivia and karaoke nights are fun. I definitely recommend if you do go, sit at a table, even if you're by yourself. We've been here a few times now and I have to say every single time we enjoy our appetizers. Brussel sprouts are divine, we love the loaded tots, cheese curds, the mac n cheese bites.. THEYRE ALL SO TASTY! On the flip side, we've tried the burgers and salads and fish n chips, and wings and honestly they aren't the best..maybe we haven't tried the right thing yet. In town for work and I thought I try this place they are super busy but the bar staff and waiters/waitress are super fast and awesome the bartender was running the show pouring beers ans serving food alway checking in. I've had to go here twice for work events. It'll be the last time work events are held here. It takes a while to get food and they don't come out at the same time. But the biggest issues is they put it all on one checks rather than the individual and then charged the unit 80 dollars in a tip for slow service and an unwillingness to work with the unit on payment. I can on MLK Day. It is pretty light crowd for a 2:30 pm. It's starting to pick up 3:30 pm, so it's time to leave. I am sitting at the bar and there is 1.5 bartenders. The bartender seem to be short staffed, not her fault. Buying waiting for a bill for over 20 minutes is not acceptable. Beer and food selection was on a QR code so hopefully bring a "smarter phone" I ordered one beer Tioga-Sierra Red Beer. It was good. They also have a small wine list and a full bar. Not sure how cocktails are charged since they have a lot of specialty drinks on their menu. Assuming I come back. I'll try the food but service needs some improvement. I deleted the Brass Tap App because it was buggy and didn't really help me. The venue is nice and spacious and the outdoor patio looks inviting. Maybe an office party or birthday party on the patio. Love this place. I come a few times a week as my son practices. Wait service regulars are wonderful. That said, a lot of turn over recently so can't speak on them all. The ones who are still here are wonderful. The owner is a friendly and realizes who the regs are. He seems to always be lookin to improve so give it another try till he gets it right. Drinks are great, food is above average for gastropub food. I recommend the Poblano chicken tacos (flour only tortilla), the loaded tots and Cheese curds. Recently tried this spot out for the first time and we were so glad we did. We went on a Tuesday which turned out to be trivia night. We were able to join in for a few rounds and it ended up being so fun! We were immediately seated and assisted by the waitress. We tried their chicken tenders and all American pub burger. I helped coordinate my 20 year high school reunion at the brass tap and it was the perfect location!! Karl was great to work with leading up to the event - our numbers changed slightly and we were able to pivot and still have a nice space for our group of 60! The food was tasty and plentiful and the space (covered patio and outside patio) fit our group perfectly for a casual event. We had a lot of positive comments from attendees, too! Stopped by here the other night for the first time to meet some friends that were in town. I go to a lot of tap rooms and breweries, so I was excited to check this place out. We sat out in the patio and there was a sign for the patio bar patrons. Ok, no problem with that, but looking around for a chalk board or screen to see what was on tap, I couldn't locate one! Just a couple of paper menus you had to hunt for. Didn't notice a QR code to see an online menu either. It was Monday night and the place was fairly busy. Well, the wait to get a beer and order food took a while as there only seemed to be a couple of bartenders who were pouring beer and mixing drinks and then when I went back to get my last beer, only one. The other one came back after a wait. Anyway, sloooow service. Food was VERY good though and the servers that brought it out were friendly and attentive. Amazing location in the dunes promenade. I may be bias because I live in the community but I think this is as amazing addition to the growing neighborhood. The first time I visited brass tap was for their grand opening and we ordered some beers and a pizza and I just visited on Veterans Day where they had a free burger for vets which is super appreciated being a veteran myself. Prices are fair, service is quick, and the location is amazing. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and although the parking lot itself for brass tap is on the smaller side there is nearby parking given its location in a shopping center. read more

Down side was no tartar sauce, which for me is a must for this dish. The coleslaw was yummy and actually combining that with the fish was really good. The all American cheeseburgers were good, but no thousand island sauce as a sauce which would have made the burger even more delicious. Want to like this place, they have everything going for them. Cool environment , menu seems ok. Service was good, we were attended to quickly, however the kitchen is extremely slow. Ordered immediately for the kids and it took 55 minutes for food to come out (one order of fish and chips, which is actually fish and tater tots, but that's not what the menu says). I ordered my meal within 5 minutes of the kids and as I was trying get the check 65 minutes in, the food came out (cold and not as described, I had a scramble, which didn't have country potatoes, but tater tots, the other scramble in the menu specifically said tater tots, so I was actually expecting country potatoes). I had to ask for a box which took 10 minutes. Ended up throwing away the food, cold eggs and tater tots aren't that appealing cold. $65 if the meal had been served on time and warm, I would have been ok with. Tossing a meal and paying that felt like a complete rip off. Also the table behind me had to get the waiter's attention because there was a dead bug in her meal. They severed her quickly after, but she was there (with kids) for much longer than us and we left before her family. This seems like a place to have a beer, not a family meal. read more
