What a great place to visit on an afternoon! Wonderful selection of wines, relaxing atmosphere, and a nice addition to downtown Hollister. I wish it was there when my daughters danced upstairs. I would have put them in more classes while I waited in Crave!

Crave has a great selection of wine, a lot of local to San Benito County. There's also a decent beer selection. Mike and Maura and their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There are a handful of appetizers and charcuterie for sale and their space is super chill and relaxing. Once in a while they have wine tasting events that are super fun!

    Charcuterie Board. Very tasty

The music playing was loud mariachi type which is fine by me. I'll mention that my guy friend and I are as white as they come and I was nervous going to this establishment as it's obviously geared towards the Hispanic community. However, there were no problems and we all got along just fine. I mention the race thing because unless you've been living under a rock, there's always a divide between Hispanics and whites and whatever and a lot of the community assumes it's too dangerous to be downtown at night because of that fact. I was born and raised in Gilroy I know how it goes . However I refuse to let that keep anybody from relaxing and having a good time..it's ridiculous to hate for no reason. There were no problems we had fun. Thank goodness there is an establishment open til 2am on most nights. We've been there twice so far. Second time was more crowded and it was a good time, no fights and no super drunk people Bring quarters for pool, there's only 2 tables. People were nice enough to let us play instead of claiming a table for the night. I would give 5 stars if they had shuffleboard and more pool tables. Maybe open earlier also like 12 for those that want to spend a day off practicing their pool game.

While dining and after we left, I was trying to figure out what they liked about this spot. The service was nothing special and the food was meh. I hadn't ate all day so I finished my food, but nobody else in my party was happy with their orders. I ordered the BBQ tri tip sandwich and subbed the fries for a side salad. My relatives got the cheeseburger and the oak fired 16oz ribeye. My BBQ tri tip sandwich was so difficult to eat as a sandwich since the meat was tough and the bread got soggy super fast. I ended up taking the sandwich apart, slicing the meat, and creating a makeshift steak salad. My aunt did not like her cheeseburger at all. My uncle's ribeye was cooked more than he had asked for. The meal was not worth it at all. I will say that I do like the decor and music played here but that's about it...

The bartender looked like he was sleep walking he was slow. In the middle of all of this waiting a party of four came in and sat down at a table behind me. The guy stopped everything and quickly moved behind the bar to hug one of his friends. He then went back and poured two beers for them and brought them to the table. Then he poured two more and brought those over. All the while I had been there for about a half an hour waiting. I joked with the guy waiting behind me that I don't even want the drink any more but don't want to feel like a quitter. Finally the owner, who had also seen me there, came and took my order and made the bartender get it for me. I left after that. Other than that night my experiences have been great there. They just need to get rid of that bartender. He's AWFUL!
