The wines were quite drinkable but not really memorable. Syrah and Cara Mia, a Bordeaux blend, were more enjoyable. Chardonnay was steel barreled and therefore not oaky what-so-ever. I think that's a cost consideration, instead of a wine-making decision. I would probably not trek an hour to visit this place again. I bet locals enjoy this place essentially as a bring-your-own-foods outdoor bar.

As we were getting ready to leave, one of the teenagers threw their drink out onto the walkway right in front of a couple walking past. The couple made a comment, something about them littering. I couldn't believe what I was watching. These kids wanted to fight this couple who were just trying to walk on the walkway. Why are these kids allowed to patron a bar and grill without parents around?! But then it got even more disturbing when a large man from the tattoo shop came out and also began yelling at the woman. Telling her that's his nephew and to leave the property. The woman tried to explain what happened and he just continued to bully her and yell at her just as the disrespectful teenagers were doing. Not one time did this couple say or do anything to deserve being yelled at! What has happened to Hollister? Why are these businesses letting kids act like this in their establishments and defending such horrible behavior? We will not be coming back to this place and I do not recommend the tattoo shop next door.

Chris, the owner, is one of the nicest guys around and always makes you feel right at home the second you walk in. So I looked up the 10 best in Hollister and Harvest Time Roadhouse popped up. We showed up in various groups - almost hitting 100 people. They did not hesitate to accommodate our very large group. There is a separate large room to the left and an outdoor area which worked out incredibly well for us and our family. The entire staff was on point and did not miss a beat, got every single food and drink order and were so kind and empathetic to our entire group of family and friends. The staff was so amazing - especially Candace. That girl is top notch and took the best care of ALL of us. I didn't catch the other server helping Candace or the other bar tenders but they were ALL great! The food was good. Drinks were good w/ lots of great draft beers on tap AND have N/A beers (super important these days) and so so reasonably priced for all the great service and amount of food and drinks we got. Ps I'm vegan and they even have vegan options! Huge shout out and the sincerest thanks to Candace m, the entire staff, cooks and the owner. Can't say enough of how well they took great care of all of us! So grateful. It took lots off our family to end a hard day there.
