While visiting from out of town, I spotted Farmhaus Burger just down the street from where I was staying and decided to give it a try. I ordered online and picked up a build-your-own burger with cheddar, bacon, bacon jam, and pickles, along with a side of chili cheese fries. Let me just say--this was easily one of the top 5 burgers I've ever had! It was juicy, loaded with toppings, and very flavorful. The fries came in a massive portion (plenty to share with 2-3 people), and they were delicious, though next time I'd probably stick with the regular fries. The service was fantastic--friendly faces behind the counter--and the restaurant itself is housed in a really cool, historic building. While it's a bit on the pricier side, I can confidently say it's worth every penny. Highly recommend! read more

I always love Farmhaus. This is the first time at the downtown Farmhaus, but it was just as good as the one on Flowing Wells. I requested the New Mexico on a salad and they were able to do it just perfect! This is not something on the menu but they really work to accolade what you wish. Farmhaus has 2 location and both are similar. Burgers, salads, wings, beer and regular + boozy milkshakes. In my opinion it's not a go-to for a burger, they have an unidentifiable aftertaste. Orders are placed at the counter and on busy nights (weekends, trivia nights) the line is slow-moving and food is slow to come out. Milkshakes are sweet and the boozy milkshakes do not leave any buzz. The peach milkshake is seasonal. I love their burgers! The specials they have with the non-beef burgers are amazing as well. Their sides? Great. Fried pickles are my favorite but the fries are always solid as well. BYOB build your own burger option? Amazing. You can't go wrong here. I've also really loved their recent milkshake specials with the girl scout cookies. Adventureful milkshake: tasted like cookies and cream but more substantial. Samoa milkshake: I loved it more than expected. More coconut and chocolate more than caramel flavors. We ordered chili hot dogs, fried jalapeños, fries, chicken sandwich, and fried sweet potatoes. Chili hot dog and chicken sandwich were really really good. But the sides... not so great. Fries were soggy, fried jalapeños were unimpressive. No salt it seems, not enough flavors. Fried sweet potatoes were just mashed sweet potatoes that were deep fried as balls. This is in the heart of Augusta and this is a college town and medical community so the place stays busy. I come because this is a favorite of my college student who would say everyone needs to get the Farmhaus burger (with the fried egg) and the milkshake. The vegan burger is made in house, but is a rice based burger. Pretty good and hearty - just a bit soft. Their sweet potato tots are loaded with perfectly cooked sweet potato inside and they serve it with a sweet cinnamon dip (I think they use an egg wash, so it may not be vegan) . Their boozy shakes are amazing and they always have new seasonal flavors (I can't forget that Samoa Girl Scout one from last year)! I've tried their seasonal bison burger as well as their regular beef burger and I can't get enough of either. Between the double patties, you will definitely feel full when you leave. Funny since we were at a burger spot. I usually go for a salad but I noticed they had wheat bread. I got grilled chicken when I saw it on the menu I grabbed that. I added chipotle mayo my sandwich. I also ordered the fried jalapeños and they were flavorless in my opinion. I did like the sweet potato tots, which had real potatoes in the middle. The dipping sauce was really good with the tots.
