Very quaint and loaded store. Has everything one would need and want for a delicious meal, snacks or travels supplies like tooth brush, tooth paste, dish soap... Yummy GF bread if you want that. Lots of local meats and snacks. As far as service, I've been there only twice; once in the midst of a storm and just last week. You have to stop here! They were about to close but the owner welcomed us in and was so informative and helpful. We left with some delicious cheese and apples to go with it, Vermont beer, and dark maple syrup. They had a wide variety to choose from and he took his time to explain some of the differences. He gave us great info on where in town to eat, covered bridges to check out and some very sound advice about where to stay in New Hampshire. The outside was warm and welcoming with pumpkins and mums. The inside smelled heavenly. I wish I would've taken a pic of the outside while we were there. read more

Wow, I can't believe how neat and clean it is. They really can do a better job on their sign. Very easy to miss. Just like other reviewers said, their produce is so fresh! They also have a bunch of organic produce, the price is good. I got a dozen of duck eggs which are hard to find. I'll def. come back again after skiing on Mt. Snow. read more

I had given up on the former Farmhouse Market because the veggies just weren't fresh and the final straw was the cheese that had been deceptively re-wrapped but was moldy upon unpacking it when I got home. I shopped at the FHM Thursday 6/8/23. I had seen some great FB mention about the new owners, so I went back. I was not disappointed. Vegetables are fresh, what they stock is a perfect assortment; a little bit of everything. Great beer supply too. An employee saw my husband and I debating which sausage to buy and suggested the preservative free ones in the freezer. We bought that brand as brats and the refrigerated Italian style ones from a local VT source. Both were fantastic. Definitely head here on a night you need dinner ideas, your recipe will just come to you as you walk around the store and gather your ingredients. read more

The best. We spend our summers here in Wilmington, and each year we look forward to the fresh produce at Blue Mountain. We used to shop up the road at River Valley market (formerly Hobson's Choice), and now almost exclusively buy our produce at Blue Mountain. Produce is fresh, prices are reasonable, service is friendly. Selection of non-produce items is OK but limited, we go to River Valley or Shaw's for these. For produce, however, this is it. Part of the charm of Vermont in the summer is the fresh produce. You can't even compare what passes for "fresh" in a city store to what is sold at places like Blue Mountain. For yellow summer squash, as one small example, there is no comparison: here it's crisp and flavorful, almost like a different food from what is sold at home. Having the fresh vegetables is part of the charm of being in Vermont. Keep up the good work Blue Mountain!! read more

Tucked away in the hills of southern Vermont, this attractive little market carries an impressive array of fresh produce as well as numerous goodies one can only find in the area including Wilcox ice cream, local cheeses, and even locally sourced meats. This place is actually almost a cross between a small market or grocery store and a full blown produce market. There are a few rows of healthy dry goods and a pretty impressive collection of treats in freezers. There is also a section where you can make your own trail mix as well as tons of nuts. They sell potted plants outside and also have a nice selection of berries. Some of the fruits I have purchased here have been a little past their prime though most have been just fine. I think you just need to be mindful as they have a huge array of fruit (blood oranges!!) so not all will always be perfect. I also like that you can buy big bags of peanuts in their shell here as well as good selection of beverages to go along with them. Anyway I really dig this place when I am in VT. Whether my girlfriend and I feel like some fruit, some snacks, or whatever we can pretty much get it here. That is more than you can say for most farm markets. read more

Such a wonderful experience in this market as a plant based eater. We stopped in before our hike hoping to grab a few things for a picnic and left with everything that we needed. We live pretty close to Blue Mountain a lot and stop in pretty regularly. The produce here is well maintained, fresh - and clearly labeled. You know when you're getting organic or local or conventional. There is a nice selection of other stuff too. Cheese, dairy, frozen meats and fish - you can also order fresh fish at the counter that they will purchase at market when they go to Boston weekly. The pantry items are well curated - maybe a little more expensive than you would pay at Hannaford or Shaws, but also probably stuff you would have trouble finding at both markets. You can stock a good pantry out of this shop - lots of Asian basics, Mexican basics (dried chilis are in the produce section), rice, pasta, dried and canned stuff - they even have a nice little beer/wine selection. Nothing too crazy, but you should be able to find something worth picking up. read more
