Outstanding! Stopped for a quick bite and a few groceries and really impressed by the food and service. What is even more remarkable is that the folks at Pine Hill Orchard are able to provide services like this for us in the Hill Towns during these trying times! The outdoor seating area is set up perfectly and offers a great view of the pond and wildlife and this was a very relaxing place to take a break while out hiking. Also has a great selection of ciders and fresh local produce. Thank you for being here for us!

If you find yourself in the Colrain area, this is a must. They have a great gift shop. A lot of local items. A cooler room with apples from their orchard. They serve breakfast and lunch in the restaurant. The food is really good. Apple cinnamon pancakes, corned beef hash, and their home fries are my favorites. Prices are good, too. Went in winter, however in warmer weather, they have a petting area with some farm animals. I almost forgot to mention Mac(intosh) the bunny that walks around the gift shop. He is kid-friendly and loves to be petted.

Cool place to visit. Love the local feel. The Vermont cheddar cheese was great and oh my the apple cider donuts were yummy!

Big Pine Hill breakfast. Very good.

Good food and good atmosphere. Service was friendly and courteous. Busy on a Sunday morning. At one point, there was a line of several groups. Food took a while to make it to the table. Worth the wait. Serving sizes were ample. Food was hot and flavorful. There is also a gift shop that has a great selection of local fare. Highly suggest to anyone traveling in the area.

Great fruit variety and the specialty deli makes great sandwiches. Can go in cooler to select many types of apples (wear a coat).

I understand that mushrooms aren't for everybody. Some people love them. Some people hate them…read more Some people like them raw but not cooked. Some people eat them cooked but cower at the sight of them uncooked. That's just the way we are I guess. But mark my words, if you are a mushroom guy or gal, you will flip handsprings at what this company offers. Organically grown wild mushrooms and edible plants are what they sell. I ran into NEWE at the Northampton Farmers Market and struck up a conversation with Paul Lagreze. It took me about 5 seconds to see how knowledgeable and passionate he was about what he was selling. NEWE offers Shitake mushrooms (100% Organic, log-grown), Oyster mushrooms (Sustainably wild-gathered), morels, ramps (a kind of wild onion), and something called "Chicken of the Woods". Of course I had to buy a $5 pint of Chicken of the Woods, What is it? Well, I don't really know - it looks like old breakfast biscuits that have been tossed under a steam roller and left out in the sun too long. Paul said you could cook it just like chicken, and ,,, yes he did say "Tastes like chicken". I wrapped it in foil, added some water and teriyaki sauce and sirachi, and baked at 350 for a while. I gotta say -- it was very good, and yes, it did taste like chicken. I took a photo for you to see how it came out. Go support a cool local business run by a very nice guy....

I'm big into health foods and they had the most wonderful selection of pre-made foods that were delicious! Day 1 - lunch was house salad with a fantastic ginger dressing, carrot salad and a blueberry oat bar. It was just the right amount of food, with very little garlic, if any. Day 2 - roast beef strips, beet salad and blueberry oat bar. I also got snacks for my drive home (tangerine slices, cheese, almonds). I also got a salmon strip with lemon and a house salad for dinner when I got home. They have tables if you want to eat in both on the first floor and in the mezzanine. They also have handmade sandwiches, all kinds of other foods and the folks working were friendly and informative. They are stocked with wonderful groceries. If you're in Greenfield and like really good healthy food, don't miss this market.

She grabbed a small container of generic M&M's. She didn't bother to look at the price. They cost $10.99 for a half pound!!!
