Apple pie was poorly cooked and ingredients were terribly dumped in the pie shell. Pumpkins were over priced targeted at leaf peepers. Chickens, turkeys and ducks were absent and the donkeys/goats were sad. My two granddaughters were the only black people present and the cashier woman was totally racist. When the hayrides were clearly overwhelmed by the number of guests we waited by the pond where tourist kids started throwing rocks at the swans and Canada goose. Outstanding! Stopped for a quick bite and a few groceries and really impressed by the food and service. What is even more remarkable is that the folks at Pine Hill Orchard are able to provide services like this for us in the Hill Towns during these trying times! If you find yourself in the Colrain area, this is a must. They have a great gift shop. A lot of local items. A cooler room with apples from their orchard. They serve breakfast and lunch in the restaurant. The food is really good. Apple cinnamon pancakes, corned beef hash, and their home fries are my favorites. Prices are good, too. Went in winter, however in warmer weather, they have a petting area with some farm animals. I almost forgot to mention Mac(intosh) the bunny that walks around the gift shop. He is kid-friendly and loves to be petted. read more

Good food and good atmosphere. Service was friendly and courteous. Busy on a Sunday morning. At one point, there was a line of several groups. Food took a while to make it to the table. They have the best Eggs Benedict and it is only about $8. They also have really AMAZING nectarines. There baked goods are delicious and extremely inexpensive. Picking apples is a lot of fun and you get to ride the tractor into the orchard. There's a good variety of apples. They also have animals that you can feed. Stopped in and picked up a freshly made pie and cider and are very happy with did. We ended up with an apple pie with crumb topping for just under $13.00 which is much less then other places. The pie was wonderful, sweet and tart apples, tasty crust and topped with a really good crumb topping. The cider was really good, not too tart and not too sweet, wish we bought more. I definitely would recommend their pie and I'm looking forward to going back for breakfast sometime soon. read more

Went to their restaurant for breakfast in early Nov. French toast was great, complete with REAL maple syrup FOR FREE. Didin't even offer other kinds of syrup. My wife had frilled muffin, nicely done. We both had corned beef hash. Wow, hardly any potatoes in it and mostly all lean corned beef. Done excellently. Coffee, a juice, and a healty tip and got out of there for $20. One of the best breakfasts I've had in years. Well worth driving out of your way for. Their store has a wide selection of apples, some locally produced things like pot pies, etc. Wide selection of craft hard ciders and some wines. Freshly baked pies and doughnuts. Very disappointed. Four of us stopped in ready to eat breakfast. Our waitress, who could barely muster a smile, told us only after we sat down and had our coffee and orange juice and our decision made that they were no longer serving breakfast! What?! Why weren't we told this when we sat down and why isn't this on the menu? All the while other folks around us were still getting their breakfast. One of us asked for milk for our coffee and was told by the waitress "get it yourself in the mini fridge." We like to support local business, however this business needs to step up their customer service. I purchased some items from the market and the lady at the front counter was extremely warm and kind...too bad the restaurant didn't reflect the same experience. You're a small business, you should be friendlier or at least have serving staff who represents this. read more

The store/grounds- Beautiful rebuilt (after a fire), the store, restaurant and grounds are all clean and well maintained. 2. The staff- The people who work there are nice, friendly and helpful! 3. One of our favorite breakfast spots! We are locals and eat here a lot for breakfast. It's extremely inexpensive and delicious! We love to pick apples in the fall, grab donuts when we drive by and feed the animals! They also have fabulous soups! Can't say enough good things! read more

The best apples you will ever have. Take a wagon ride pulled by tractor to the orchards and pick your own bag of apples. Pick from all kinds of varieties...sampling apples along the way! My boys love the sampling part! Tons of fun, great people, great location and the animals are a bonus. read more

We found this place when we were in the midst of the mountains this was the only place in the vicinity (according to the GPS) that served food. Located next to their apple orchards, which have the nicest apples I have ever picked and a nice pond with geese, they have a full store (selling all apple-y atuff) and a cafe which serves delicious food. Their apple cider is terrific and warmed us up just when we needed it. A great place to visit if you are anywhere around the Mohawk trail. read more

I recently bought an apple pie for our Thanksgiving dinner and I want to say it was fantastic!! The crust was flaky and the apples were stacked high and the flavor was awesome. If you are ever headed up the Mohawk Trail and want to take a slight detour for some breakfast and lunch, this is the place to go, for a few reasons: 1. its beautiful mountain, country side scenery, 2. the breakfast there is very good and inexpensive. The bread is freshly made there, wicked good! There are about 8 or so varieties of bread to choose from (I suggest the honey oats). 3. the restaurant itself is very well lit, utilizing lots of sunshine and over looks their very nice pond. 4. Lastly, this is what brought it from 4 stars to 5, they have a pond with ducks, geese, chickens, and goats. what more could you ask for =). read more
