Parking remains extremely easy with the main commercial drag of 20th Ave or paid parking as well as lots of residential free parking nearby. Nor private parking lot here, but that is not a problem at all. Clearly, there is continued demand for wedding and special catering in a very high rate of take out foot flow, but nothing so bad that it causes hour-long waits even on weekends at 11am. I would say most of the dimsum dishes here tasted standard but ones that stood out include the Chiuchow style dumplings and the mochi buns. We also got one of their specials: a chicken and abalone sizzling pot and this was delicious! They cook it with a ton of ginger, garlic and onions so it was so flavorful! Absolutely loved the sauce and highly recommend pairing it with a bowl of white rice! Will be back if I'm ever in the area and happen to be craving dimsum.

BLUF: OK food; great value; plan for a loud environment during peak times…read more We visited Canto Blu 粤海大酒楼 on a recent weekend for dim sum, and arrived around 12 PM. While the restaurant was nearly full, we were seated immediately. The seats were comfortable but ambient noise levels were super loud, informally measured as averaging in the low 80 decibels. The noise levels were so loud that it seemed that some staff resorted to lip reading in some of our interactions. Food: The food leaned towards mediocre, but was more than acceptable for the price. The "medium" dim sum dishes were $5, while the "large" dim sum plates were $6, which is considered a bargain these days. The chiu zhou fen guo (潮州粉粿; teochew dumplings) were pasty instead of being comprised of discrete ingredients, but flavorful nonetheless. The siu mai (燒賣) were a bit fatty, but juicy. The beef rice noodle rolls (牛腸) weren't great, but still more than acceptable. There was parsley in the beef mince, not typically found in less expensive versions. The only disappointment was the chicken feet (鳳爪), which were bland. Service and Other: Service was pretty good. The servers were friendly and offered to cut large dim sum pieces into smaller potions, while wait staff offered a change of plates. At least one stall in the women's restroom lacked toilet paper, but the men's and women's restrooms otherwise seemed adequately maintained. Canto Blu is up one flight of stairs. There is an elevator in the middle of the restaurant, but I'm unsure how to access that elevator from the outside. Overall: Overall, Canto Blu is worth visiting, especially early in the morning or when the restaurant is less crowded. Do consider bringing hearing protection if you plan to visit when the restaurant is full.
