Overall this is a really nice, modern library. Huge space overall, with lots of computers, it seems, and a big kids/YA section too. The bathrooms are a bit old school / high school-ish, with tiny stalls. I usually stop by here when I have a book or two on hold, and the hold area inside is easy to find ... they also have an outdoor locker area of sorts you can use. For returns, there's an outdoor slot if you don't want to go into the library, but it's a bit hidden - it's on the side of the building closest to the USPS building across the street (East side of building, I believe, then). Overall, very nice library, I kinda just wish the walk from the parking lot to the entrance was shorter, especially in winter.

There's three floors with a separate section for children, teens and adults along with the traditional categories. They hold book readings, used book sales and author talks. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The library is very well used and busy and that's a good thing!

It is acclaimed to be one of the finest libraries in the country. It is wonderful to have a third generation of my family enjoying and discovering all that the library has to offer. My granddaughter loves the children's room. Her imagination gets to run with the kitchen play area, doll house, puzzles, puppets and the books. This puts me in the mind of the Dr. Seuss book, Oh The Places You Will Go! The library has plenty of room and space for the whole family. Parents please note: You MUST keep your children with you at all times. You also can not drop your children off and leave them unattended for their safety.

The room was very large and the doors were mostly soundproof, which was good because we had a lot of little kids attending the party too, LOL (who were a bit loud). I did use the family bathroom next door to it, at one point - it's very cute, with a tiny toilet for kids and a regular-sized one for adults. Unfortunately it did smell pretty badly, which is why this reviews is a 4-star one and not 5-star. The layout of the library reminded me a bit of the WB library (main branch, on Walnut Lake Rd) and it's a very large building. Overall it looked very nice.

The librarians are incredibly informative and genuinely friendly--they're always ready to help whether you're tracking down a book, using the computers, or just looking for a quiet spot to work. One of my favorite parts? The café inside! The drinks and snacks are great, and best of all--the proceeds go to support Novi schools. It feels good to grab a coffee knowing you're helping the local education system. There are also plenty of study areas, meeting rooms, and a great children's section that makes it easy to bring little ones along. Whether you're here to study, relax, or explore, the Novi Public Library makes it easy to feel right at home. There is a great ESL discussion group at WBLIB that's run by volunteers most weeks on Thursdays at…read more10 am - 12 pm and Wednesdays at 7:00 - 8:30 pm. All ages and English language levels are welcome. You can even bring your kids along if they're not in school, and you don't have to talk if you just feel like listening. It's a nice group of people with many learners coming often who have become friends outside of the library from meeting at the weekly group discussion. If you're not busy, please stop by sometime and check out this awesome (free) class. It's has really been a fun experience, and I highly recommend it! The class is held in a meeting room near the adult non-fiction area and some of the study rooms. A librarian can direct you where to go. :)

I browsed the little bookstore and purchased a 1000 piece puzzle from Springbok and two cd's all for just $5.00. There is a children's room right at the front of the entrance. Also at the front of the entrance are a nice selection of mobility aids for those that need a little assistance getting around. The entrance itself is full of beautiful plants, trees and scenic decorations, making the entire vibe very welcoming. There is a computer room in the far back, a heft section of nothing but large print books. The front desk people were very knowledgeable and friendly.

She suggested the Bloomfield Township Public Library and admittedly, I was a bit hesitant at first. However, I was in need of somewhere quiet to connect to video calls and I didn't have much time, so I somewhat begrudgingly headed over. Wow - I was blown away by the beautiful space - both indoor and out. There are plenty of friendly staff members to help answer your questions, obviously tons of books, a large and colorful children's area, an outdoor area, a vending machine area, computer area, plenty of desks, and private rooms for members. I am not a resident or member, so I headed outside to a beautiful terrace and I'm now back for my second day working here because I loved it so much. I haven't looked too deeply, but there also appear to be programs for community members of all ages to partake in - from book clubs and writers groups to knitting groups, summer craft kits, language conversation groups, speed dating with a book, and so much more. I'm literally so impressed with everything this library has to offer. I will be back and this may inspire me to also visit my own library back home. Lesson learned: never question a suggestion from my mom ;)

The recent review I posted was in the wrong place, in part because there were a # of distractions in the Library, and I discovered it just a few minutes before they closed. Here's the real deal. I've had just one Police intervention from the Farmington Police since I moved here in June of 2023. I don't recall all the factors, but, having had my original Escape taken by the Township Police on June 28th of 2023, I had to buy another one, which is a 2020 Escape. I was driving it on 9-Mile nr Farmington, and had a temporary Plate Sticker, which I believe was expired, since the new Plate hadn't arrived on time. I found from the Secretary of State, that it went to my old address at Swan Harbour Apts., in Northville, by mistake, and apparently the Manager there took it, and kept it. Anyway, the Farmington PD Officer spoke to me courteously, and I explained that some dirty things had previously been done by Huntington Mgmt. at Swan Harbour Apts. in Northville. I asked him to tell me what the LEIN System showed about my Driving Record, and told him that a 2nd Plate was to be shipped to my correct address. He courteously accepted my statement, and told me what the LEIN System had on file. All in all, he spoke and acted professionally, and having experienced a fair amount of Police and Management Company misconduct in the years before, including June 28, this was a welcome return to normality in my world! Here's hoping that any future interactions with Farmington Police follow the same pattern!

A couple days ago two policemen came when I called 911. I described the voice of the resident, and…read moreonly knew one person with that distinctive voice. They should have either arrested him, or brought him in for questioning. Nothing was done about it. They left without giving me a card so I couldn't name them. I called today and spoke to the Police Chief, described my issues. Almost minutes after I hung up the phone 2 police, Officer Holden, badge 507and Mostek Badge, 496, arrived, took a report, helped me with my issues. Were extremely helpful, answered all of my questions, the Police chief said an investigator will look into it. My second experience was so good, that I hurried to recommend these officers. I'm hoping to get my computer here soon, so my recommendation, can be filed for future reference. I also couldn't believe his smart they were. I would recommend these officers either are promoted to Investigators, or they could at least be a trainer and give on services on all the mistakes the first set of officers made.

The Northville District Library is a place where I know I will find a workspace that is conducive for productivity or a cozy environment where I can stroll while looking for the latest read. Librarians were available if needed and one team member provided insight when I inquired about a particular resource. The books and movies within the Northville collection is quite vast which was exciting to explore. The check-out system is straight forward. A variety of seating options are available on all levels of the library where individuals or groups are likely to find a spot to gather. My favorite is the fireplace area! Parking lot is spacious and easy to navigate.

I often visit Northville District Library for a quiet place to read and do work. It's conveniently…read morelocated in downtown Northville and blocks away from restaurants and a walkable downtown district. The librarians are friendly, and the reading and studying spaces are clean and get lots of natural light. I like that there are study rooms for both large groups as well as for one person or two people that can be reserved for up to two hours. Other libraries only have study rooms for groups and have the right to kick out one person using the room. Northville Library is small compared to other cities, but it's inviting, quiet, and relaxing. I prefer it to other libraries in the area.

Love the many different recommendations of books I'm given by cue cards on the bookshelf or personally from an associate. The variety of books is bound to make you go crazy in the best way. The quality of the books I've seen are kept in pristine condition and I love that it's also not too noisy inside. The Book Annex is a great place to get books of great value on sale for a cheap price! I especially enjoy coming here to get work done, to discover a new book/author, and see what the latest buzz is all about. Book worms unite!
