    Three main offerings at Farmstrong

I finally had some time to stop by Farmstrong Brewer in Mount Vernon. The inside seems a bit small but there are a couple of rooms to the side where one can reserve seating. There was a birthday party happening in one of the rooms when I visited. I had the Pilsner for my beer and it was light and tasty. Just the way I like it. The bartender said we can order food from our seat via the QR code that is the Rooted Kitchen food truck outside and they will deliver it to you. At my table I tried this but the QR code wouldn't work. I think a couple near me had the same issue. No worries as I just went outside and ordered directly from the food truck. I had the Smoked Salmon pasta which had a creamy lemon and tarragon flavor to it. This was done very well and I loved it. So flavorful and tasty and a good amount of smoked salmon chunks in it. The place had the college football games on and a fairly steady stream of people. The outside beer garden area is very big but as it was a cold and rainy day, not many people were outside. When I ordered from the food truck I saw they have a portable covered stage that bands play on. It was a cool concept as they can tow that stage all over the place to other venues and festivals. Great idea. Next to the ordering area there is a decent sized cooler with to go beverages offered. I also notice they have craft root beer on tap and would love to try that sometime. Farmstrong Brewing Company is conveniently across the street from the Electrify America car charging place in the Walmart lot. So this place is a very convenient option when charging your EV! I will return here one day!

Checked out Farmstrong Brewing Company as they made a few ciders (Ragged & Right Cider Project) that sounded interesting. There's a food truck (Rooted Kitchen) in their patio area outside. We dropped in on a slow Sunday afternoon (1:30pm). Go up to the bar to order. First place I've been to that offers flights for up to 12 tasters. Sadly, they only had one cider on tap. - Flight ($10.00 USD for 4) - pineapple sour ale, blackberry tango, strawberry hard seltzer and coffee porter. Standard fare. My least favourite was the seltzer, not much flavour.

    Mexican Lager. So good!!

La Raza Mexican Lager - so good! A quick stop here to taste their beer proved to be a good experience. Not very crowded, as there was a sign at the entrance that a private party had reserved the brewery and the establishment would be closed to the general public at 5 PM. We knew it wouldn't take us that long to check them out, so we went on in. Nice patio area with lots of tables. Dog friendly, too. Service was great at the bar and seating was perfect for a sunny afternoon. The La Raza we had was just right - now, THIS is a Mexican Lager the way it's supposed to be made. Great, easy-drinking and very refreshing. Perfect place to stop before we headed back to Seattle (an no, our driver was not drinking!). If you're in the area, this is definitely a place to check out.

Our Friday night date took us up to Farmstrong Brewery in Mt. Vernon Washington. I have been here several times and just realized I have never reviewed them! Love this place, they make amazing delicious beer, have a great and friendly staff, and have great house made food. They are well behaved dog friendly, have both great indoor and outdoor seating, and host lots of fun events! The beers they make are always delicious, and there is something for every beer pallet. I particularly love The Skagit Valley Pilsner. When you had a beer or two, have eaten some delicious food and are ready to go, you can also grab a 6 or 4 pack to take home! If you like great beer and delicious food, this is the place for you! Go try em out.

A good brewery find on the outskirts of Mount Vernon, stopped by after seeing the amazing tulip gardens in the Skagit Valley. Always on the lookout for new breweries (for me) to explore. Great variety of types of beers and ciders, with a food truck in the outside sitting area. Service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable about both the beers and the ciders, it was a busy Saturday afternoon, but line was fast and pours were filled quickly. Plenty of roomy sitting inside and out, it was nice enough to sit outside. Started with the Mt.Baker black lager, refreshing with a good grain after taste, great beer for a cool afternoon. The food truck, Rooted Kitchen had a small but delicious looking menu, from which I ordered the pull pork Mac n cheese and the crispy Brussel sprouts, both were quick to come out and delicious, the Mac n cheese was gooey cheesy goodness, it could have used a little more pulled pork, as the pork was tender and flavorful and added the the decadence of the dish. The Brussel sprouts also were very tasty, a little crispy and the feta mousse just added a unique flavor to the brussel sprouts. Both dishes went well with the black lager and my second choice ' Stalin' Hay IPA which was a well balanced NW IPA, not over hopped. On the way out I tried a few tasters of the ciders, all were very flavorful, with blackberries and peaches, I choose the peach to go for later enjoyment at home. Definitely keeping this one on my list of stops when hiking or enjoying all the agriculture in the Skagit Valley, and looking forward to visiting the produce stands and farmers markets in the area. SYOY, Cheers!

First off, the staff was incredible. Super nice, friendly and extremely helpful. Wife had a couple of different beers while I tried a cider flight. Ordered one full after and took two growlers home as well. The food truck is legit money. Food was really good, tasted fresh and wasn't a killer on our wallet. Overall just a great place, will return.

We hosted a group after a wedding rehearsal dinner on 7/15/2021 and everyone at Farmstrong Brewing and Taproom was a complete pleasure to work with! Planning this from California was easy because of the clear communication about table sizes and what we could bring for decor and how to ensure that we paid for our guests mingling in an area that was also open to the public. Clay and his entire staff were incredible! It is clear that they are not only passionate about great beer and delicious food, but equally intent on giving people a terrific customer service experience! On the day of our event, we were able to get in prior to our reservation time to put table cloths on our reserved tables, floral arrangements, a banner and some balloons. The atmosphere on its own was fun and full of friendly people! We could probably write a book full of details about what we loved about the food and beer! A group of about 40 people all tried many varieties of beer and just about the entire menu and all guests raved about both! Despite being slightly short handed due to situations outside of staff control, our entire party got foodie worthy meals in a timely manner! That was impressive! The beer menu had something for everyone! Some of our guests are more cocktail drinkers. Other guests prefer wine. Every single person found something on the beer menu that they enjoyed! The selection is so extensive that there really is something for everyone. Anyone who is thinking of hosting an event at Farmstrong Brewing and Taproom shouldn't hesitate! We've hosted a lot of large events and coordination was stellar, pricing super reasonable, top notch service and 5 star food and drink! Thank you to Clay and the entire staff for making our event so awesome!

Although we are not going inside the brewery at this time because of COVID, I have to say that the curbside service we got was absolutely top notch! They have some great deals on their canned beers and I can't wait to open the crowler we purchased of their new Blackberry cider. Please support this wonderful brewery. I do also want to mention that we stopped by last summer and their outdoor seating is great for any of you wanting to drink at their brewery. Can't wait to be able to enjoy a cold one at the brewery, but until then, glad we could take some home with us.

Great place to bring a dog, some friends, and watch a game or Nascar. Taproom is good size and there is also a tent outside for music and such. Beer was good, not great. I started with the Stackin' Hay IPA (ABV: 6.8% IBU: 85). Per its name this is a straw colored West Coast IPA with meaningful to aggressive Amarillo and Columbus hops. I found it a little too piney and it didn't balance with the grapefruit I was expecting. Then went with the porter. All the classic tasting notes were there, but it was a little too fizzy for a porter. All in all there are good beers here, but the region as a whole has many good breweries. I'm not sure this one differentiates on the beer itself.

    Beers on draft.

My bestie and I stopped into Farmstrong to grab a beer while playing in the north. Parking is free. Credit cards are accepted. Farmstrong is family friendly. Indoors is spacious with ample seating. Reservations are accepted for celebrations such as birthday's etc...Mug club members can reserve seating at the bar for live entertainment. Farmstrong does not have a kitchen; however, a food truck (Sushi by Chin) is parked in the outdoor seating area. During our visit, my bestie ordered a pint of La Raza Ambar for $4 and I ordered a pint of Stoned Aged IPA for $6.75. We both enjoyed our beer choices. Staff members were friendly and informative. Thank you Farmstrong for the tasty slurps.

Very chill brewery with a real live rooster outside representing the 'Farmstrong' brand. Some really nice brews and the Mexican style was great with the slice of lime they served it with. The cider was dry and crips and I especially liked the porter. Never have I seen so many dogs at a brewery before and they were all well behaved labs and one golden-doodle. Even a family room with things for kids to do.

The patio faces one of the main streets so there was lots of good people watching. I ordered a beer flight and was very satisfied with all four of my selections: Prickly Pear Kolsch - it was creamy and easy to drink, bursting with prickly pear flavor; just the right amount of tart and sweet. Lightly Buzzed Honey Lavender Blonde - my favorite of the flight; it was very hoppy but light and refreshing and well balanced by intense lavender flavor and a smooth honey finish. Get it! You won't regret it. High Five Hefe - lighter/less hazy and more hoppy than most hefes it made for a unique and complimentary beer on my flight. Pommeroys Citra Pale Ale - a perfect West Coast IPA. To eat, my pup got the Lucky Dog hamburger (which the chef pre-cut) and loved it! He chowed down in less than a minute. And I got the Mac & Cheese Burger (sub a veggie patty) with the Garlic Fries. It was a very indulgent meal to say the least. The burger was loaded with so much Mac & Cheese that I couldn't even put the top bun on it and pick it up. lol I had to knife and fork the whole thing which was totally worth it. The Mac is a classic home style recipe (think Stouffers but better). Their fries are shoestring and super crispy and salty. And they loaded those up with an amazing garlic aioli and Parmesan. I got a side of their house-made curry aioli and was obsessed with it. Every fry that didn't have sauce or parm got a dip in that deliciousness and I added it to quite a few of the burger bites too. All in all, a great brewpub that I look forward to returning to in the future!

Our server was Rainey, she was awesome, very attentive, and came to our table right away to take our order. The atmosphere at Temperate Habits is very nice, there is outside seating but we sat inside due to the bright evening sun. Our meals took quite a while to arrive, I think we were at the tail end of the dinner rush and my guess is they have a small kitchen. My classic cheeseburger was about the most generic, predictable, and utterly boring burger I could imagine, and for $17 I would certainly not return for that or the mundane shoestring fries. The burger patty, bun, and fries were all non creative and the there was nothing even the slightest bit unique about my burger, in fact I swear it is the exact same burger that the Skagit River Brewery serves just around the corner. The surprise entree was the Crab and Lobster Tots, now whoever thought that would be good? The plate looked very strange to say the least but I have to say.... this dish was really good! So you'd think if they could create that total mayhem of a dish that they could get far more creative with the burgers and least have a house burger sauce or a higher quality bun for $17, something? I might return to Temperate Habits to have a drink with friends and share some tots, because they give you a large enough portion for four people, but I would certainly look elsewhere for a good burger. 5 stars for atmosphere and service, 1 star for the burger, 4 stars for the tots.

Now you all know that I am one very picky eater I will be able to identify the best thing or the worst in a bite or two. It is 1:30 on a Thursday afternoon. I had heard they had good fish chips. So I already knew what I was going to be ordering. Hubby was going to order the same thing except a spied clubhouse sandwich, which is really hard to find these days and we just ordered a clubhouse sandwich with chili and we would split the both meals mine and his. Well let me tell you I was kind of regretted offering to split my fish and chips after the first bite. But I quickly snatched a half of his sandwich as he was chowing down on the lovely brisket chili. I knew it had to be extra extraordinary as he didn't even offer the smallest of bites to his wife. He just kept going on about how amazing that chili was. I never did get a bite. I didn't even ask I suppose in hindsight I should've because he informed me three different times. I would come here just for this chili. Now I suppose you all know by now my hubby will eat just about anything. He will rarely ever say something is bad. Hearing him say something is spectacular is just shocking . He informed me that that was the best chili he has eaten outside of New Mexico. I look at him and inform him that the fries are really very good. He looks at me with utter shock like I said the sea is pink with kangaroos swimming in it. He doesn't understand the words coming out of my mouth because I never say them I'm not a FRY girl. In fact I rarely even order fries, but it's fish and chips after all, you gotta do it. Mind you I'm about to take my first bite of this very nice very light very very, very beautiful piece of deep fried fish. I have my lime and squeeze it onto my first fish then dip a lovely piece of fish into the well bodied tartar sauce, and Nirvana absolute pure Nirvana. I am beyond aesthetic that this fish is within a mile of my doctors office. I am thrilled beyond words that it is not oily. It's not greasy. It is not overcooked. It is just perfection. I know that word coming out of my mouth is uncommon. I get that I'm gonna stand behind that fish until I'm dead. It was that good! Let's talk about that sandwich shall we this is Hand cut ham smoked turkey is beautiful the garlic mayo is amazing. The bacon is a little too crisp for me, but the toast is toasted correctly a little too much mayo on center toast but other than that the lettuce has not wilted by some miracle, and it is falling apart halfway through, but you can't expect anything more. Everything that was supposed to be dry was dry. Everything that was supposed to be moist was moist everything it was supposed to be crisp was crisp . There's three pieces of toast trying to hold that whole puppy together. It was an exceptional sandwich, and I finished a half of it, which I never eat that much food in one sitting so Hubby had a piece of fish. We took a piece of fish home. I had a piece of fish he ate the terrific bowl of chili and we both finished our sandwiches. Was it worth the $60? Hell yes all day long will I make it a monthly habit probably not but when I need fish and chips, I don't have to agonize any longer where I can find such Nirvana . Service by the way was great. Our waitress was absolutely friendly and sweet. She was the only one there she was taking way more tables and tending the bar too. Personally she had no business taken care of that many tables and the bar too but she handled it all beautifully and she gave us some advice. We talked about me being a FOOD snot /snob and she gave us a couple of names of restaurants if we were going to be visiting other areas of the PNW. I had admitted that I had not found any edible fish and chips in the Stanwood Camano area. Kristin thank you so very much for everything. We will be bringing our out of town guests to enjoy the great service and outstanding food soon! But next time I will have to just make sure that I get some of that chili for myself since clearly the hubby won't share his. Charming atmosphere and bathroom had both soap and paper towels! Table was clean. Tv was set for fifa and was not too loud at the time of day. The food arrived quickly and everything that was supposed to be hot was hot and everything that was supposed to be cold was cold and there's plenty of napkins and silverware. We didn't have to ask for anything. So it is an easy 5 star food service and atmosphere.

They're located close to the Burlington airport; look for the wooden chair with a "beer here" sign. We dropped in on a Friday afternoon (around 1:30pm). They've got a cute patio outside along with two communal style tables and bar seats inside. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Go up to the bar to order your drinks. The beers consisted of 9 Garden Path flavours, two meads and several guest beers/ciders/wines. They don't do flights, which is disappointing and none of their fruit flavoured beers were available to sample. They have a MASSIVE variety of rare, unique beers along with some interesting cider and wines. Beer bottles from Jester King, Atwood Ales, The Ale Apothecary and Crooked Stave, to name a few. From Canada, they even had two bottles from Dieu du Ciel. Majority are from the States but they had some beers from Australia, Estonia and Europe (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France and Italy). They also have a couple board games and funny enough, they had these mystery/surprise beer bags for sale. Not sure how much they were though. - The easygoing drink ($3.00 US for 5oz) - lightly tart ale fermented in a foudre and finished in stainless steel. This was our favourite from the three we sampled. - Amber dreams of electric sheep ($3.00 US for 5oz) - foudre-fermented, oak matured, malt-accented and native yeast amber ale. Definitely was malty. - The prime barrel age ($3.50 US for 5oz) - blend of mature barrel-aged beers. This one didn't leave much of an impression on either one of us. Garden Path's beers are different, catering more to funky than sour. If you're a beer geek, this should be a must visit. 3.5 stars.
