We were given a window of 6:30-8:30 pm for the technician to arrive. We weren't told that we had to respond immediately to the text that the technician was on the way. I responded four minutes after getting the text, and the window had closed. As a result, we had to wait until the next morning for service. This wasn't the end of the world, certainly; but that's the one thing I would recommend to Roto Rooter -- tell the customer to look out for the text from dispatch and respond immediately. All in all, we were very happy with the customer service, the dispatcher, and the technician.

Been in this house 9 months and the previous owner did everything DIY. The drain from the sink to the basement was not correct after due to an oversize sink being installed and properly aligned(previous owner). Tim and Scott installed a new drain, repositioned the garbage disposal and new pvc, tubing, etc. They were very professional, personable and explained everything in layman's terms. Very fair pricing. We are, sadly, yet another victim of the Folsom pinhole leaks. We previously had two pinhole leaks,…read moreone in the ceiling of the garage and one outside near the pipes to the sprinklers. This latest one was a hot water leak under the slab in the master closet, and the final straw. Due to our previously outstanding experience with Michael and Leak Finders, they were our first call, and our only call. Michael quickly detected the leak and then explained our options: 1) Only fix the leak 2) Repipe only the hot water 3) Repipe both the hot and cold. He thoroughly explained all our options, including exactly what would be done for each scenario, and the cost. Since this was our third leak we decided to go with the repipe. I can't stress this enough, Michael is punctual, communicates clearly, very meticulous and very clean. The job took 2 weeks. Every single day he was on time. Each day he vacuumed the areas he worked in and put his tools away. If it weren't for the holes we wouldn't even know he'd been there. He limited the holes that had to be made and explained to me every day what he'd be working on. My wife joked he left the house cleaner when he left each day than it was before he arrived. The job is done now and we are thrilled with the work he did. We can't recommend him highly enough. We all have our contractor horror stories. You definitely wouldn't get anything other than a success story with Michael and Leak Finders. We are confident the days of pinhole leaks are behind us. He also added several more hose bibs for us where there were none before. We have have on on every side of our house. A positive side note is we also get our hot water more quickly, and it gets hotter faster. I've only posted a few of the pictures. He treated us and our house with great care. Sure enough, they found the leak right where another "professional" plumber had previously worked: under our master bathroom toilet. That plumber had used an auger months earlier and failed to notice the wax ring seal was damaged -- something Brightside diagnosed quickly and resolved properly. Dalton was fantastic throughout. Friendly, professional, and very clear in his explanations, he made us feel completely confident in the work being done. He and Jeff went above and beyond, replacing the damaged bolts from the earlier install and properly capping the toilet to ensure everything was sealed and secure. Brightside wasn't just competent -- they were also fair. While weather caused a slight delay in the actual repair, they proactively offered a discount and applied a portion of the initial diagnostic fee toward the final fix. Updating this review to share that the sump pump installed by Bright Side last year failed at the…read moreworst moment during a torrential downpour while my husband was out of town (enter facepalm here). I was convinced it was broken and called Bright Side once I had the flooding under control in the basement. I can't understate how impressed I was with them from the phone call to the plumber showing up later that afternoon. First of all the person on the phone was so kind, told me I was still under warranty, and assured me that they'd have someone out that day to take a look and fix it. The plumber arrived on time, listed to my whole sad story about the basement and the pump, and figured out the issue within a few minutes. He fixed the pump, assured me it should last a long time with the fix, took a look at our other pump, talked me through what had happened, sent me some estimates on things we could do to improve our set up, and was out the door within a reasonable amount of time. The things I loved was how low pressure it all was and how friendly he was. Other plumbers would have upsold me and likely made me feel pressure to purchase something else. I really appreciated that they came out day of, stood by their warranty with no questions, fixed it, and was honest about the situation, giving us options but no hard sell. This is the kind of service that will keep us as customers. It's always hard to know if a company is good after one visit, but this being our second, and on a call when something bad had happened I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. This appears to be a very good locally run business, and they'll have us as customers for the foreseeable future.
