During the service, the locksmith mistakenly programmed my mother's key fob, which belongs to an entirely different Honda located in a different city, instead of our vehicle's key. Afterward, our original key was shipped to us, but it no longer functions. We also later found our spare original key, and it no longer works either. It appears that the locksmith erased or reprogrammed our vehicle's key system, causing our original keys to become unusable while programming a key that did not belong to our vehicle. This work was performed without our authorization to use my mother's key, and as a result, we are now left without functioning keys for our own vehicle. Despite this, the locksmith is requesting additional payment to correct an issue that was caused during his service. We believe the responsibility for resolving this problem should not fall on us, as the error occurred during the work he performed.
