Warning to fellow consignors:…read more I am incredibly disappointed with my experience at this shop. If you are looking for a place to consign your clothes, look elsewhere--unless you enjoy risking your items going missing without a trace or spending hours looking for your items. The owner herself didn't explain the process upfront which would give anyone pause from leaving their stuff here. Rather was rude when I said she didn't explain it upfront. There was zero accountability for lost or stolen items. When you hand your clothes over to a consignment shop, there is an expectation of basic care and security. Sadly, that is completely absent here. They have a policy that basically shrugs off theft or loss. They simply do not care about protecting your inventory. I had a few items that I never was able to find and the owner was no help. I was given attitude for any question I had. Spent hours looking for my items. Originally when I asked the owner how it worked, she failed to mention that I would have to look for everything myself at pickup. When my consignment period was up, I had to go through the crowded racks and hunt down every item myself. I spent so much time digging through racks just to recover some of my belongings. As a customer, a consignment shop should provide a level of partnership and trust. This place takes your items, cuts you out of the loop if they get stolen, and forces you to do the heavy lifting when you want them back. Save your time, your energy, and your items--consign somewhere that actually values its clients or better yet donate them to someone who really needs them.

I'm a longtime clothes thrifter and have visited this store MANY times since I moved to the area 10…read moreyears ago. Early on, I wasn't super impressed, but then things changed for the better around 2020 and it was reliably good for years. I always appreciated how well-curated the front section was, since I could feel confident that most of the really desirable items were there. If I didn't have a lot of time, I'd just peruse that area. But it was also worth exploring the whole store when I had the opportunity. I almost always left with something good. This Spring (2026) the place took a turn for the worse. I thought at first it was temporary, due to some remodeling that was taking place. Unfortunately, I don't think that's true. The remodeling seems to be done but the store is worse rather than better. With the exception of shoes, the front area is smaller and not well-organized or well-curated. In general, there seems to be a much worse selection, and the store feels cheap and a bit seedy to me. I'm not sure what happened! New manager? I hope they get this figured out or I will soon be taking this store out of my regular rotation.

The racks have been changed around, the merchandise is all over the place in complete disarray, the line up was to the back of the store, items are lacking pricing, the plus size racks are so cramped you cannot shove the hangers over to look at anything. What used to be the best store of all is now the worst. Won't go back for a while. Someone needs to get it together. Perhaps a new manager?????????

What was supposed to be a quick stop for my daughter turned into an unexpected family shopping…read moreadventure. My daughter wanted to browse for something cute for herself, so we stopped into Plato's Closet about 30 minutes before closing. I was a little worried we'd be rushing, but the atmosphere was still fun and relaxed despite shoppers trying to squeeze in a few last-minute treasures before the store closed. The best part was watching the shopping bug spread through the family. My daughter started browsing, then the other kids decided they wanted something too. Suddenly everyone was searching racks, comparing deals, and showing each other what they found. Lol. I wasn't even planning to shop, but I ended up finding a pair of Calvin Klein work slacks for The Mr. for $18; I couldn't pass on a deal like that. That's one of the things I love about stores like Plato's Closet--you never know what you're going to find, and sometimes the best deal is the one you weren't looking for. Years ago, when my oldest son was a baby, he grew so quickly that I regularly sold his outgrown clothes to Plato's Closet. Walking through the store now and watching that same child use his own money to buy clothes for himself was really special. The staff deserve a shoutout as well. Even though it was close to closing time and they were clearly working on end-of-night tasks, everyone we spoke with was friendly, patient, and welcoming. The cashier was especially kind while helping the kids check out their purchases, which I appreciated. We came in looking for one item and left with several happy shoppers. That's usually a sign of a successful trip. We'll definitely be back for another treasure hunt soon.

10/10 service they're so friendly! They have great prices! Also they have a huge selection! Looking…read moreforward to coming back!
