I went to get my toe nail re-done the other day and I had asked for an acrylic toe nail. A few days later I started noticing a green spot on my toenail coming with pain and I took the nail off to see that I did have a green spot on my toe nail and it kind of looked reddish on the side and I later learned I have a bacterial infection from the tools they used and it got trapped under my toenail, (I will get health inspection involved). read more

For the area and competition this is a great find. I was devoted to a local place elsewhere that unfortunately changed management, so I was on the hunt for an affordable spot with good service. Luckily, I found this spot and am a new loyal customer. All things considered don't expect a grandiose experience, think more on the vibe of no frills, get your service and go. However, that is not to say that they don't do a thorough job. I have only worked with the gentleman and he is fantastic! He is professional and thorough, and on my most recent visit my toenails have some white showing through from a vitamin deficiency and he found the perfect shade to match my manicure and cover up the unsightly spots. If I could rate this place ZERO stars, I would. I came here for about a year with mostly no issues. Nails always came out great. Over a month ago I came in to take my acrylics off for a little break. Well I wish I hadn't. The nail tech proceeded to RIP my nails off with a metro card. I should have left, but with already two nails off, I figured I'd just stick it out. Bad decision. I wish I had just gotten up and left. When she finally was finished, I was left with stubby, broken, bleeding, throbbing fingernails. It took over a month to get it back to semi-normal looking nails. I was actually embarrassed to show my nails. Doing simple tasks with them like washing my hair and pulling my pants up were PAINFUL. ALSO, while I was there a girl was getting a pedicure and proceeded to pull her mask down and speak on the phone. No one told her anything. I would usually rate this place well, but today it gets 1 star. I called for an appointment and waited over 1 hour. To warn everyone, they don't really honor appointments, they don't save the spot- you might as well just walk in because you are going to wait anyway. They stall and make you sit in the pedicure chair or manicure chair to make it seem like they are going to service you sooner than they actually are. They made my feet soak for literally an hour. Like seriously, was that necessary? They could have told me to come back in 1 hour. No one has a sense of urgency at all and there were 3 more people waiting after me. I changed nail places a year ago because I didn't like the customer service, and the way they did my nails. The first few times were good and then they just started getting lazy. If the nails weren't the same length or shape and I mentioned something I would get huffed at. If I asked for square, I got rounded square. I come in every 2.5 weeks and I leave unhappy almost Everytime. They're very inconsistent and Like I said if you say something or point out something that's uneven and so fourth you get a nasty look or huffing and puffing and then they say something about you in their language to the person next to them. Really just crazy to me. There were a couple times I actually said something and the manager saw the problem but did nothing. I didn't want to have to find a new place but since I've given so many chances and have been unhappy it looks like I'm going to have to start looking. I will recommend not going to Icy or Judy.. I bring in pictures of what I'd like and Sherry replicates them perfectly, if not better. I'm an avid weightlifter and my nails last weeks, even though I'm pretty hard on them. I've been coming to this salon for years through multiple different owners. The current ones are the best. I used to come often for Sherry to do my nails but took a break because she'd get so busy there by herself. I popped back in today and Rachel did my nails. She was so kind, and helpful with deciding what kind of design I wanted since I never do anything like that. Just simple gel. I paid $45 including the repair on my nail it had broken. I went in the morning during the week so it was nice and empty. It's not such a high end place but new tables and chairs. A while ago, when I started coming to this place, I loved it because they did a good job and it wasn't expensive. Recently the quality of the salon is trash. Doesn't matter if you have an appointment the wait is FOREVER. My appointment was at 12:30 and I waited till 2:15!!!!!! and the other time I called twice to make sure they would be available because I was short on time and they assured me. I waited for a whole hour and both times they lost track of who came in first so they were letting other people go before me. My friend has gone to this salon countess of times and always has good results. However the time I went a few days ago was not a very good experience for me. I got acrylic gel tips and I had cherry the owner as the nail tech. She was very distracted the whole time and was constantly scrolling through her phone instead of paying attention to my nails. I understood when she had to answer calls and stuff like that but there were even points where she would be drilling my nail and looking at her phone. This place is really outstanding--they go above and beyond your needs. I work late hours and could not make it until 7:40pm yesterday as a walk-in when they close at 8pm (and all other places close at 7:30pm). I called beforehand to ask if they'll take me for a manicure and they agreed. They also agreed to take a personal check because I'd left my wallet with credit cards at home but had my checkbook. Then, when I got there, I really asked for more than I should have--which was to get a pedicure, and not just a pedicure, but with a deep callous removal and leg/foot massage service that they offer (hey, I was already there and thought at least I'd ask)--and they AGREED. There were still two people getting their nails done. Long story short, the woman taking care of me stayed 45 minutes after closing at 8pm, even after the owner/manager left, and did an efficient but meticulous job. Even though she was staying late, she followed every step of each procedure and did not cut corners. I tipped her well, but beyond that I wanted everyone to know what an excellent service (and really good prices) Fashion Nails offers. My hat off to the owner and staff for being so accommodating and understanding of people's busy lifestyles. I've been waiting to get the callous treatment/foot massage from them for 6 months since I first saw someone else getting it. Ever since I've been trying to make room in my schedule to come back (it took me so long because I have 2 kids under 2.5yo). Got my nails done here and would never go back. My thumb nails were so short I could see my finger. There was no thumb nail! He burned all my fingers wth the drill and The guy cut my finger with the file. when he painted my nails the polish was all over my hands. Then then I complained and said I was not happy but was still charged full price and they just removed the polish that was all over my skin. Not happy would not go back! read more

Always in a rush to get things done. I always wait at least 10-15 min before I'm seen and they don't even do a complete manicure like at my old place. Colors are very limited they definitely need new ones, especially gel. Prices are way to expensive. The only reason I go here is cause it's close.
