Been coming here for years because they have a pretty good plus size section. Today, wasted a whole hour shopping because they waited until I got to the counter to tell me 1. Dressing rooms are off limits. 2. But dresses are final sale (known policy). But there's no allowance for the fact that the dressing rooms are off limits right now. You can try them on over your clothes in the main part of the store. Wth. Everything else you can exchange or get store credit within 7 days. 3. The only mirror to use, IF you should decide to try on clothes **out in the open part of the store** (eye roll) is a friggen shoe mirror that's about a foot high. 4. Why. Just... why? The sense that this doesn't make is enough to give me a headache. Steer clear. I've looked past shoddy customer service, rude staff, clothes that last for 1, maybe 2 washes, and weird exchange policies for quite some time, but this takes the cake. I could always come in here and find a little top or cover up, some pjs or a tank on the fly, ignoring the obvious, including other Yelp reviews. But naw. I'm good. I'd give negative 5 stars if I could. And the workers are so oblivious to how to greet a customer, offer assistance. I mean, come around and ask "do you need any help finding anything"...."may I take your clothes up to the register"... or maybe a "by the way our dressing rooms are off limits.... Etc etc." so you don't spend an hour shopping with no way to try on things that are non returnable. What a disappointment. Like, a major one. SMH. read more

The clothes are not worth the service you will receive here. They don't respect their business hours at all , it is 10:30 and they are supposed to be open at 10. Completely unprofessional, their customer service is at a very low standard. You have a better chance at getting better service and better clothes at other stores such as Fashion Q. They are very strict with their return policy; you will not receive your money back instead you can get store credit or exchange an item. Had the worst experience today dealing with an associate who normally works at the Fullerton location. I was at the Downey location buying some pants when I noticed there was a hole on the side. The lovely associate at the Downey location offered to call the bellflower location since she saw they had 1 pair left in my size. She calls and as soon as she asks her if they have it and if they could put it on hold she was super rude telling her "never call my store for items because they won't come for them" she went on and on being super rude about God knows what to the Downey associate. This lady feels like she owns the company when she's only an employee. I called the bellflower store right after because I was very upset at the way she spoke to the associate, and when I confronted her about it her story changed. I was right in front of her when you were talking crazy, so don't try to change it up. I ended up buying the jeans with the hole in it because I'll be damned if she got credit for a sale she was so rude about! read more

I've been in this store once before and the cashier was very rude to me. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because I understand that everyone goes through things sometimes. I also try not to take things personally and I try not to take individual actions out on the entire business, but I can't help that as today I went in this store and the girls were rude to me again. First, I almost fell because one of the girls was mopping the floor, but the "pisado mojado"/ wet floor sign was in the front of the store near the door where the floor was dry instead of on the right side of the store where the entire floor was wet. Second, when I said I almost fell and suggested they move the sign to where the floor was actually wet because when you place a wet floor sign on the floor, most people expect that specific area to be wet, the girl mopping was very rude, disrespectful, and condescending towards me. She then went behind the counter and said something in spanish and her and the girl started laughing. As I was walking out, a lady with a baby was walking in and I had to inform her to be careful as not to slip with her baby on her hip because even though the wet floor sign was at the door, it was actually the right side of the store that was wet. I will say that if you are black and live in the Lakewood/Alondra blvd. area, please stay out of this store. This isn't the first time I've experienced rudeness. They didn't greet me when I walked in the store, nor did they offer me an apology when I almost slipped. It's mostly hispanics that go in this store and I've seen them greet those women but not me. Not to mention the cops were right outside the store arresting a black couple. I'm also not very dressed up when I go in anywhere that isn't work and it may have very well be classism. Usually don't come to this store. Probably my 3rd coming and the staff is usually nice, but today when I went in I was not greeted whatsoever and I get it they were busy and had other people to attend, but I was struggling to get a shirt. So one of the girls (she wears some golden blue glasses) is by me just looking at me and after a while decided to offer me for some assistance and I asked her for a shirt size and when she handed it to me the shirt said x-large and I told her and it seemed to bother her and she replied saying well the tag said large. So I responded back telling her yea but the shirt states otherwise. So then I asked her for the same shirt but different color and from there she seemed so unhappy. Started yanking stuff and semi slamming stuff. Then I go to the front to pay and she helped me as well. Girl was just slamming the sensor and shoving things around. Thank God I'm very patient cause if not I would of told her something! Seriously you don't like your job and don't have customer service skills (obviously she doesn't) then don't work there!
