Hopefully North Island will instruct their customers how to use these machines give them a link or something because it's very frustrating. I've been a member forever with North Island and I hate to go somewhere else.

This is a late review. I have banking with NIFCU for +30 years I went to deposit 1 check on…read more12/23/24. Amber R. was the teller. Amber did not smile, no greeting. I handed Amber my check. My checks issued to me from my husband's long established business in SD; checks are usually a few thousand in amount. Amber uploaded my check, stared at her screen for a questionably long time. I asked is there a problem, and my husband was in the car outside. Amber says no, she needed to check if she can see the whole check. Then she asks me if I know where I got the check. Yes, my husband. She continues to stare at her screen with a concerned look, so I ask again, is there a problem. She says no, you know with the holidays and all. I chuckle and say what does the holidays have to do with my check getting deposited. Amber continues to stare at her screen. I'm sitting there patiently, asking simple questions in a kind manner. So after about 5 or more minutes of her staring, I asked how long she had been working at the bank. Amber then THREW my check at my face! Said in an aggressive tone, "I'm not going to help you! You can get back in line for someone else!" I said thank you to Amber, smiled and walked over to the manager, whom disregarded this incident and said "owe, that's not like her" I contacted corporate after Christmas. I received a call from Treece Caballes the Regional Manager; she was very sweet and apologetic. She told me all that she was "going to do". My next experience in the bank to deposit another large check from my husband...Amber R. now, with a very smug chip-on-her-shoulder, no smile, says how can I help you. She didn't delay depositing my check, but was snarky with her words, and acts like she can do/say whatever she wants, due to upper management cowtowing to Amber R. I brought my husband in the second time to observe, and he was disgusted with her attitude and behavior. He's asked me why I continue to bank there. As another negative review stated, this bank has gone downhill since merging with CCU and the application of DEI practices. Time to leave after 3 decades. There are other great credit unions that take pride in good customer service, and put the members first.

I handle most of my financial needs through Navy Federal Credit Union, and I can honestly say their…read morecustomer service is second to none. Every time I walk through the door, I'm greeted warmly, and that small gesture alone sets the tone for a great experience. This particular small branch is ideal for quick, efficient transactions. It's never overcrowded, and there's always enough staff on hand to assist you promptly--something I truly appreciate in today's fast-paced world. While they don't offer all the services of a larger or full-service branch, they're excellent for basic banking needs like deposits, withdrawals, or account assistance. One thing to note: there are no public restrooms, so keep that in mind if you plan to be there for more than a few minutes. If you need more in-depth banking services or consultations, I'd recommend the La Mesa branch--but for quick in-and-outs with top-notch service, this location is a favorite of mine. Navy Federal continues to make me feel like more than just an account number--they make me feel like a valued member which places great value on this institution for me. Ps they do share a parking lot with Panera Bread and Chase bank so be prepared to look for parking and also parking places are much narrow which gives this place for me. 4 star.

This is for the Navy Federal in Santee not the one on Fletcher Parkway…read more I just couldn't find the one in San If I can rate that branch, I would give it a -50 Hands-down, we've had the worst experience. I have personally ever experienced in a bank and we've been with the Navy Federal Bank for 30 years. My mother is elder Bedford. Her debit card wasn't working. She hasn't drove a vehicle in 20 years. They wanted her to get a identification card, which is fine. That took a week remind you there's no food for her. There's no medicine for her. There's nothing her kids had to figure something out the following week go back into the branch. They literally give this 80 year-old elder so much obstacles just to unlock her debit card and get her money, it was absolutely asinine the disrespect we got from that branch and the people working there was diabolical. Again on her son, and they looked at me like I was literally a criminal who should not be in there when in fact, I'm the one who's been taking care of my mother for the last 20 years I took days off work to go in there to solve this issue so we can get her medicine. They told us basically go get another bank account from another financial institution find 16 different forms of identification, even though the woman told us she knows my mom was the woman but there's policy and that's the problem. Navy Federal's policy basically is elder abuse it needs to change because there's no way an elder woman should be waiting almost 2 weeks to get her money and then go back in to have more obstacles to have to deal with just to identify her even though the branch lady says she knows the woman in front of her is the same woman. Again, I'm going to go as high as I can to complain because these people just shoved us out the door and could care less I highly advise nobody to ever go to that branch or ever deal with Navy Federal again we had to go to another bank to open up another checking account to come back to Navy Federal to prove identity. Absolutely I diabolical the new. Bank looked at it like we were idiots why would they want you to do all of this just to identify an elder that's been with the branch for 28 years are you kidding me. These people are evil and they don't care at all and all they tell you sorry it's policy. It's policy. Hands-down, the worst financial institution on this planet is the branch in Santee Navy Federal.
