The rep strolls out from the back with a pile of snacks, looks right at me and my elderly mother standing in line, and snaps: "What are you guys doing? Why are you just standing here?" Excuse me? We were waiting for service in the check cashing line, exactly where customers are supposed to be. Then he yells, "I'm on lunch break, I'll be gone for an hour, I don't know what you're going to do." That's not customer service -- that's disrespect. * A few months prior, at the Santa Clara Ave branch, I was venting to the same rep about rude treatment I had received at Hesperian. He literally called the girl at that branch in front of me, switched to Spanish, and mocked me by saying: "Yeah, this Black lady is here complaining about you." I'm bilingual. I understood every word. That was flat-out discriminatory and unprofessional. When I escalated to Jeannie, the regional manager, her response was even worse. The first time I spoke with her, she acted concerned and promised action. This time? She dismissed me outright: "That's not his character, we've never had a complaint, everyone says he's great." Translation: because other people haven't complained, my experience doesn't matter. That is gaslighting, plain and simple. I had to drive all the way to Dublin just to get basic check cashing service because I refuse to tolerate this kind of treatment. Customers deserve respect -- not to be mocked, yelled at, or invalidated. Ace Cash Express, do better. Until then, I'll be filing complaints with the BBB, CFPB, and state consumer agencies to make sure this kind of conduct is addressed.

The branch called on 7/15 demanding payment- i told them that i will going to pay off loan with bank draft. the person then told me they can do that over the phone. So i paid the loan off. after i did that - then they told me ACH hold will be 3-5 days. This was never disclosed until after the fact. it screwed me over. 2. i have to trade in my car as my new car arrived 2 weeks ahead. So i have been asking them to provide me with a letter stating that the account has been paid and they are working to get lien released. But they have changed the tons completely and lied about everything A. ACH hold could take up to 15 days B. CA DMV has a 20 working day rule (it's only 8) C. CA has law that this take another 20 days (no there isn't) So they have my money since 7/16. As of today- they are more than happy to sit on my money and title- while i don't have a car for up to my 45 days based on their internal process time. Avoid this place

The representative was able to work out a payment plan that was good for me because I was able to pay off after getting my bonus from my job within just a couple months.
