Today i had a poor experience with a rude teller (Ellen)…read morewhich was reinforced by the manager at the Prescott Valley Chase Bank today. I went in to deposit a check and withdraw $1000 cash. The teller Ellen had me sign the check in a way i hadn't before and after i questioned her, she became upset. I mentioned that i had never encountered that problem before. She then closed out the session without giving me the the $1000 withdrawal. She told me to go outside to get it. It was cold. I don't normally withdraw large sums of money from outdoor. I was quite angry as i needed the cash. I live in Cordes Lakes AZ and this branch is closest to me at about 25 miles. Prescott is another 10 miles. Worst bank ever. I kept my personal, and more important our business account with B of A because I…read moreknew the people that worked there. Now there are all new people, a couple of old faces, and today I had a really, really important business deposit to make and the check was put into my personal account, and the withdrawal for the all important cashiers check did not come out of the business account but my personal account . The assistant manager did not help the new guy do the transaction, in fact, she disappeared. This was a really important transaction as it involved a 1031 exchange transaction and needed to be done correctly so the accounting would not have any issues with it. I do not blame the new teller, but that no one cared, the assistant manager to be specific, the manager was on a short vacation, to get the business account done correctly is horrible. I did not realize the business check was put into my personal account until I went home. To make matters even worse they will not pick up the phone so I can tell them there was an error that needs to be fixed. The staff here is incompetent, do not bank here, especially if you are a small business and need things to be done correctly. I will be moving all my accounts to a different bank, one that actually cares about their customers and understands that business transactions really need to be done correctly.

The funny thing is, I put much more money into a CD at Credit Union West than Desert Financial Credit Union but I was treated like a "member" at Desert Financial. So far, Credit Union West is my all time least favorite credit union (I've been a member of several credit unions in my lifetime and am currently a member of four credit unions). I'll probably just use them for their good rate promotional CD. When that matures, I'll move the money to Desert Financial.

They would not close my accounts, even though they continued charging me late fees. Total amounts were originally under $20. I spent over 10 hours trying to get into those accounts. No one helped me out or would think outside the box. They had my account numbers, my social security. I would never recommend anyone deposit their money at this institution.

They also keep instructing us to "contact your dealer" even though the loan was a refinance. They send us a letter requesting documents which I mail back immediately along with a letter clarifying our position. A week later, corporate emails us saying they received our letter and apologized for the confusion, which was nice. But that very same day we open our mail and find another letter threatening us with a rate and payment increase because they've not received the documents "despite repeated outreach." That's false. We responded to the only letter they sent. It literally said "First notice..." It's clear nobody here knows what's going on. But when their money's on the line, they'll threaten you, blame you, and bury you in their internal mess even when you did exactly what they asked. In the beginning, they even asked to pay for their paperwork. It was only after I refused that they "agreed to waive the fee." Just be careful. If your loan involves a title, get ready for a mess. Oh and these letters? All attached here so it's not just my word.

Krystn was so efficient and reassigned all of our account numbers, issued new bank cards and answered all of our concerns in a timely manner. It is a pleasure to work with an institution where one feels there is genuine concern. We feel like we are valued customers not just another account as we have been at past financial institutions. A reasonable person in today's world might think it would be deposited/credited on Monday the 14th (LIKE REAL BANKS). NOOOOO! THE DEPOSIT WAS REJECTED!!! Actually REJECTED. Because it's a Bank Holiday. Stupidly I already ordered checks from this place. The deposit was a test for their online banking...IT FAILED. Totally furious.
