The elevator was working fine. My house watch person ordered an annual maintenance. After paying…read more$600 for the call, the elevator would not come down. We called them back to fix the problem they caused. After three hours and $450 more, the elevator came down but crashed like a shotgun at the bottom. I called them back again to fix the problem. They said it would cost me $350 more to fix it, and would not be available for several weeks. Then they called me and said I would have to pre-pay before they would fix it. I refused and they told me to call another company. What a scam.

The product is sub- par,the installers are fearful of their superiors and on top of that they're sloppy. They complain about dangerous site conditions yet I have 911 on standby when they're working. For the record, my company has only 2 accidents in 53 years. I consider myself lucky that Otis Elevator didn't add to that record.
