Bought a WX24SPSW mower about 6 weeks ago to replace a 20 inch model. I have a 3/4 acre St…read more Augustine floritam yard, pretty thick in places. This mower cuts like a beast. I have a mulching plate. Unfortunately, Sarlo doesn't carry the true mulching blade any longer. Found that Dixie Chopper 24 inch mulching blade is exactly the same size with 5/8 inch mount. Works great on this 24 inch unit and leaves little to no mulched clippings along the edge, even in wet grass. Only problem I have had is with the B&S 8.5 professional series engine. The one on my mower is a piece of junk. First time mowing it took 8 to 12 pulls to get it to finally start to catch. This is the automatic choke and speed model. When hot it wouldn't start again for 20 to 30 minutes. Took the machine back in to Sarlo and they worked on it, did some adjustments and "broke" in the new motor. Second time cutting it was fine. Started first pull and ran like a champ. Unfortunately, half way through the job the drive belt snapped. Had to push it the rest of the job. Fortunately, the high wheels made it easier, but was still tiresome in thick floritam. Went in on Monday an took the busted drive belt to Sarlo and they gave me a new one, which I put on the mower for the third use, which went well with engine starting on first or second pull. Put it away and a week went by. Fourth time mowing the starting rope didn't want to pull. It was vapor locked, and fuel had leaked from the bottom of the mower while it was in the shed for the week. Gave it one more try and it finally pulled through (after I had removed the spark plug and turned it through). Gas was dripping from the exhaust port. Mower is in service again. Either the carb is the problem, or the engine is going to be replaced. Used another old mower to cut and put the mower back in my SUV for the trip to Sarlo. They have it now. Once I get the mower back, if there are no further problems with the engine, I'll change this to a 5 star rating. Sarlo has been great about the whole thing. Unfortunately, not the customer. You get very disappointed when you pay a premium price for a premium commercial-type mower and you can't even get a month worth of mowing in without problems. I don't hold Sarlo to blame for a bad belt and engine. Their mower is well made and heavy construction, and I can see that it should last forever. It's the components which have failed on mine. Let's see what happens. I'll be back for a review update after the engine problems are taken care of.

I spoke with Trevor regarding a 2024 Wright i36 (Stock #88RH) with 41.7 hours. I was informed that…read morethe unit had been used as a demo/loaner and was priced at $8,591.29. The best out the door price, including the law enforcement discount, was quoted at $9,752. I explained to Trevor that I was ready to purchase the mower if he could offer a more competitive price, as the difference between this used demo unit and a brand-new 2026 model with zero hours was only $1,462.69 out the door. Trevor advised that the ownership team was on vacation and that obtaining approval for a lower price would be difficult, but he said he would get back to me. After several days with no follow-up or communication, I chose to purchase a brand new unit from another dealership that demonstrated much better customer service and communication. Unfortunately, this experience left a very poor impression. Because of the lack of follow-up, I will not be purchasing equipment or supplies from any Sarlo dealers in the future.
